ROB TALKS: Tourmaline Crystals

In Rob's 30+ years of running The Arkenstone, he's come cross a fair amount of tourmalines. Here are some recent pieces we've had in the gallery (and posted for sale on iRocks.com!) including 3 specimens from Brazil and Afghanistan.
The first tourmaline crystal is from the Mutuca mine, in Brazil, with a bright blue base that graduates into a cheery green.

The next piece is a gemmy, pink tourmaline from the Cruzeiro mine, Brazil.

Next we have a saturated, lustrous green tourmaline crystal cluster from the famous Pederneira mine, Brazil. This is especially interesting because of the different termination styles!

And lastly, we have a multi-colored tourmaline on smoky quartz from old finds in Afghanistan.
