    INGREDIENTS
The biggest difference is the protein. Optimum Nutrition has a blend of 3 kinds of protein: isolate, concentrate, and hydrolyzed in that order. Dymatize is mostly hydrolyzed whey with some isolate thrown in.
Research suggests that hydrolyzed whey absorbs more quickly than other forms, and it may be more helpful for recovery for athletes working out several times per day. For the average person, there's likely no practical difference.
The other main difference is that Optimum Nutrition contains digestive enzymes and Dymatize doesn't. Enzymes may improve protein absorption, so this could give an edge to Gold Standard.
Finally, both products have third party certifications to make sure there are no banned substances, however, the standards are different: Gold Standard is certified by Informed Sport, which does swab testing in the facility to minimize contamination of banned substances, whereas Dymatize is certified by Informed Choice, which actually tests the protein powder itself every month.
Between the hydrolyzed whey and the more rigorous testing, Dymatize may be better suited to competitive athletes.
    PRICE
Optimum Nutrition is about 4.3 cents per gram of protein.
Dymatize is about 5 cents per gram of protein.
This makes sense, given that hydrolyzed whey is more expensive to produce.
SEE OUR PICKS FOR BEST WHEY PROTEIN: • Best Whey Protein Powd...
    WHICH IS BEST?
Optimum Nutrition has digestive enzymes, more flavors to choose from, and it's cheaper.
Dymatize tastes better with water, may absorb more quickly, and has more rigorous testing for banned substances.

ISO 100 Dymatize - it is a bit more expensive but well worth the investment. I purchased four 6lb bags from Sam's Club on sale for 60 bucks a bag. I have one at the office and three at home. Since I started taking ISO100 Dymatize - my recovery has vastly improved. Prior to taking ISO100, I would ache for days after a strenuous workout. Since taking this supplement, I have yet to experience those aches again. Just an amazing product. Also, for those people that are lactose intolerant, this product is deal for you too.

I have tried all brands including the GNC brand, random stuff with high reviews on Amazon, ON and Dyamatize. I was on ON for a long time and I gained love handles and armpit fats despite doing cardio and without eating junk. I switched to Dyamatize about a year ago and I'm super leaned. Of yourself I'd still hit the gym and good diet. But Dyamatize is the best whey in the market that you can get and I'll never get any brand from now on.

The Neutral taste in the Gold Standard is good. Other protein drinks are just too sweet and it defeats the purpose of the fitness goals with all the added sugars that cause the fat to stick and very difficult to burn. Gold Standard is the best because you can always blend in fresh fruits like berries or bananas whatever favorite fruits which all make the best sugar substitute. I will try the Iso as well. I will purchase them both that rumor has it that these two products are at the Top Highly recommended. So I will get both of them.

One big difference between the two is that ISO has it's amount to leucine listed, but ON GS doesn't list exactly how much leucine it has. This leads me to believe that ON GS leucine content is very low.

I also train martial arts and lift, and while the martial arts never leave anything but my calves sore (couple hours staying light on my feet sparring), i lift very hard because i want to see big strength gains while only lifting twice a week, and ive been sore for 4 days after at times, so supplements are necessary for me, and will be for others as well
