The reason why I never released this video is because some of the footage was f'd up pretty badly...
Mario fixed it a little bit but... Yeah... Whatever!

I don't know why but I was waiting for some super tech way to insert the hair in the holes. Then I realised that the "super tech way" is patience ;)
I think he may have benefited from having a Funnel
Yeah, maybe, but I suppose it may be nicer to be able to say "I made it, one single hair by one"
We have machine to insert the bristles into the holes without any glue

Very neat. Should do a follow up of this video and do shaving brush as well for straight razors.
The Barber of Seville is extremely appropriate and I think would fit in any "make" video. I fell in love with the grain of that piece. Bring back the weirdness!

Hm, I never saw bristles glued in nearly individually, only saw a brushmaker once using a bundle of bristles and a thin wire, bending them over the wire in a U shape and forcing the resulting U into the whole, it held there without glue. there must be a thousand differnet ways to make a brush depending on the purpose, hair/bristles used.

started watching this thinking, I've got to make one of these. then I see how the bristles are done and now I think maybe I'll look for one on amazon or something.

It took much much time! By the way, our factory specializes in CNC machines for making various daily cleaning brushes and industrial brushes.
All those tiny, individual hairs!!! Truly a labor of love.

No i never made it! I think the boars bristles were too much $$ + the time it took to make…

Secondly, that's a genuinely interesting build, I'd have never even thought about hand sticking bristles in a brush, out of curiosity how long did it take to stick them all in?

Thanks. You just helped me a bit for my new brush concept for wavers. Still have more to workout since it's not going to be a traditional brush. It's going to conform to the hand more. That's the only hint I can give until I get it patented

how come you didn't just tie bundles of hair in the middle, pull them through a thinner block of wood (thus doubling the amount of hair from each bundle and getting a tighter fit) and then glue a back onto the brush to finish it?
where do i find all the equipment you guys use? i really want to get into making my own brushes and this is by far the best video i’ve seen.

What were those two combing? The one on the left hardly had any beard and the one of the right had a french beard and he was combing on the sides..

Gorgeous, I made a brush by hand for climbing. It was hard to put those hairs in for sure, I see one guy said you could use a funnel. Any other tips for this beardless brush maker?
