- The Peaucellier-Lipkin linkage (or Peaucellier-Lipkin cell, or Peaucellier-Lipkin inversor), invented in 1864, was the first true planar straight line mechanism - the first planar linkage capable of transforming rotary motion into perfect straight-line motion, and vice versa. It is named after Charles-Nicolas Peaucellier (1832-1913), a French army officer, and Yom Tov Lipman Lipkin (1846-1876), a Lithuanian Jew and son of the famed Rabbi Israel Salanter.

Your videos are guide to reach my goal, Thats why I watch your videos,
Pretty Nifty ! Thanks for posting a cool vid!🌞
Thanks for watching!
VERY cool!!
Beautifully design it
Cool mechanism. I have made this from meccano parts.
Very good
Mmm... I see an industrial revolution coming.
Could u please tell me the dimensions
Hey, can you please tell me how to make this? I have to make this for my semester exam🙏🙏
Don't try, won't work
Start with a symmetrical kite, let's call it ABCD, where AB and AD are equal and longer than BC and CD, which are also equal. Add a point E on the line AC where BE and DE are the same length as BC and CD (also create the lines BE and DE). Add a point F which is exactly half way between point A and point E, and create the line EF. Fix points A and F and allow all lines to rotate around all points, and C will be constrained to a straight line.
That was a complicated description, hope you can follow it
Bro what material is used for making links
Aluminum alloy stripes
I tried building one, but lost my marbles
You can survive without those marbles
👍
Planar is not a real word in a second sentence. Planar means in plane. Any four bar is for example is a planar mechanism.
