Andre has rap lyrics available just can't put it into words. His expression is a happy medium. Hence the flute. Just like what Nas said about how he preconceived what others would think about what he says rather than just try. Could it be lack of words or lazy efforts.😢
I really appreciated the fact that he didn't release any music all this time because he genuinely had nothing to talk about, it says how much he cares about his art. He is one of few musicians I really appreciate for their authenticity and talent. I'm really excited to listen to his new record.
I have definitely seen Andre 3k in the most random spots in Philly for a stretch, with his flute. This was within the last 3yrs. People would walk by, double take and immediately hop on their phones to call others to let friends know. Small crowds would gather around, but in Philly, strangers respect space so no one would invade his space without being mindful. One time I seen him and he rocked out with a vocalist who had been walking by, a complete stranger who started freestylin over his flute. She was beautiful, had an amazing voice, and they vibed for about 10 mins. Seen him another time just out reading a book in a downtown park. Not at all trying to bring attention to himself, and again Philly did not bother him. He is forever mysterious, unassuming, and definitely an authentic creative
The type of freedom most of his industry peers cant even dream of , he's still walking in his destiny as a musician and still playing music freely with no attachment to capitalism expectations in alleys and random places .Im sure his bills are paid ,has a relationship with his kids ,he's content ,he's lived a great life of duality hit a million records, has songs on CZcams with a billion views and still managed to recreate a simple life . Most of them Even if they dream of that kind of freedom but their ego wouldn't allow them because they'd have to give up the glamour, need for praise and validation and fame ,most cant

Missed you 3000. Whatever you do, you'll always be supported. Regardless of how big or small the audience is - you'll always be creating that light for someone.
Andre 3000 answered these questions very well! It's clear he is just riding the wave of where he his life is taking him. It isn't about trying to keep up with anyone else but himself. It's more than fame and success
This dude was such a huge part of my middle and high school years in the 90s. Seeing him so happy and at peace with himself and his life now is so wonderful. I love everything about this.
Incredible subject for an interview, but the interviewer was pretty meh. André 3000 would rock an interview with literally anyone, as you can see here.
Absolutely love that he is himself, down to earth, happy, comfortable, his soul is clean. Releasing music that means something to him. Preserving his family. Being social. Blessed! Keep your heart, Three Stacks. keep your heart! Great interview and great interviewer!
I love the peace and can relate to the social anxiety. The fact that he’s authentic to himself and is self aware is dope instead of trying to put out a rap album, beefing and talking negative- he’s being true to himself.
I LOVE that Andre won’t bend or fold to what other humans say or think! He seems happy within & with himself. He’s 48 & acting like it!!! This interview is what you call Grown & Still Got It Going On!
He’s got to be one of the most down to earth people ever. I appreciate his talent and perception of things. The new album is quite an interesting listen imo!
Its his peace that got me. Wish everyone in the world were at that individual state of peace. Amazing! I strive for that inner peace. Blessings to you Sir 3000.
I never saw Andre as a "rapper" but more a poet. Thats why this transition in his life makes sense to me , hes more spiritual in what he does and hes just a down to earth person who enjoys seeing life through another lens.
I saw that in the movie Idlewild. He's so much more different than Big Boi, but they balance each other out. Andre' is far more talented in my opinion though
First off, I WISH I could be at that laundromat with 3000, to kick it with him. He is truly a beautiful, humble soul. He's introverted, so it's not that he doesn't know who he is, he's just not into all the attention that comes with being famous. He's such a spiritual being who is loved on a global level.... you are loved Andre.... I hope you know that. Thank you for sharing your talents with the world ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m so glad to see Andre do what pleases him. I’ve always appreciated him and his commitment to creativity. I’ve missed seeing him and am happy for him. He’s so cool, down, honest and handsome!
What’s interesting is that seeing 3 Stacks out in the Alley playing his flute is actually not that wild given the history and trajectory of his career. He is a true artist. People forget how ahead of their time Outkast and Andre 3000 were. They did things artistically that set the bar really high. Many people have tried even today but will never be able to replicate it. We support you Andre, if you decide at age 60 to put down the flute and pic up the mic I’ll be the first in line to support ✌🏾
I loved how grounded he is in himself and what’s authentic to him and his joy and fulfillment. It seemed like the interviewer kept challenging him to own just being a “rapper”
Yeah I didn't love that part. I hate that people keep trying to keep Andre in a box. It shows you how dumbed down our society is and how people are so used to what's manufactured
I don't think he was trying to get him to "just be a rapper", I think, as a humongous fan of 3Stacks, he was doing what he could to try to encourage him to rap ALSO
This is the sad thing with life. Because if you don’t get to this place where you don’t care what people think ,you will be a zombie clone of what so person think you should be ……..
Yes! He's a creator not just a rapper. His creative energy is channeled and evolved to a different medium. As receivers of creative energies, we shouldn't limit the energy. It's fluid and ever changing.
What I love about Andre is how genuine of an artist and a human he is. At 16:47 you can tell the interviewer didn't really want to ask him to play. But Andre made it feel like he was just any guy, like almost excited at the prospect of playing for someone. While other artists charge 10, 50, 100k for a show. Makes me think of the times music was just small gathering around a single instrument, before is was made into a business. When artist were still reliable. Gotta love 3stacks
I am 72 (near 73) and what he’s doing speaks to the core of my bones. I feel so validated and inspired by his creations. I can’t wait to listen to what he has created. I’m going to get some solid blue overalls and I’m going to make them my own. What a blast to hear his take on his adventure in life. New Blue Sun. Can’t wait.
Well said!!! I too, feel Andre is giving us the space to appreciate the "chill", "serene", and "simple" everyday life and be "OK" with it!!! I love luxury items and outings like the next person, but in honesty, true gratification and joy comes, when you are in the peace and quiet by yourself; many times, with nothing but a great scenery, driving in your car, or in the quiet of appreciating your life and the blessings bestowed upon you... Andre 300 is giving the world a canvas to sit down and welcome peace.... Beautiful project!!!!👑🎼👑🎼✊🏽
I agree I have a feeling his music could have rap lyrics or something similar but with a different style and twist we haven’t heard before. But new is needed in music!
It is phenomonal to assiduously listen to Andre 3000. He is a mature evolving artist who comfortable with his professional decisions. Like his fashion sensiability; he is free.
His energy is so beautiful. I love that he pushed past his anxiety to put something out in the world. This was a well done interview. You can tell the interviewer is in awe, and a little nervous, but the vibe is so chill.
This whole interview was a delight and has given me an even deeper respect for one of my favorite rappers of all time. I love how Andre cares so much more about his art than just making a "rap" album for the sake of it. Very intelligent artist & he seems like a kindhearted person too.
Yeah, it’s wild seeing comments here thinking this interview comes across as “sad” or “confusing.” Dude has reached that place in life where one has a really healthy sense of themselves and what works for them to keep learning and living and staying mentally grounded. He knows who he is and what it takes to grow as an emotionally healthy person. I also don’t think many people really understand how much of an intense headfuck fame would be, being in the public eye to that of extent. Andre seems like a very grounded and secure individual, and to find that when millions of people know who you are is extremely impressive and encouraging.
@@PaulPawlPall I totally agree. It's weird seeing anyone call this interview sad when if anything it had me smiling through most of it. Andre seems to be at a more contented place in his life where he doesn't desire to make music for the sake of having "hits" or being cool. He just wants to express himself artistically with as much authenticity as he can. That to me is a sign of a person who knows himself and has integrity.
This whole entire message, and all encompassing project is such a beautiful piece of art. There’s such a “I had no idea Andre would do this, but that’s so Andre 3000” ….like the secret essence of who he truly is. It’s perfect. Just my take.
Andre, I’m 31 with 3 kids and a husband and have for so long felt like I do not fit in with the world and struggle with social anxiety. Thank you for opening up because now I don’t feel so much like an OutKast and I’m inspired to flow and be me in any given moment instead of adjusting to the “norm” sincerely, thank you
I’m 56 I still have a challenge with social anxiety. My long time friend invited me to her sister’s party recently, I really wanted to go but I had anxiety all day just thinking about being around a bunch of people. Peace and Blessings to all that struggle with social anxiety ❤

I think I can speak for every Andre fan out there and say that it's so refreshing to hear/ see him again and even more pleasing to realize how free and happy he is.
I love his unique style and swag. Appreciate his honesty and humility about social anxiety... I can relate. Fame is overrated. Living a simple, quiet and authentic life is the real flex. Kudos Andre 👏
Thank you for being that artist who my now adult children and I could love and experience together. The last time I saw the group was in Centennial Park-Atlanta… it was an amazing time❤️
Andre is one of the rappers who did not go crazy with fame. He looks great and is maturing wonderfully. He has excellent insight into his own future growth.
I'm excited for whatever he does. ❤ It's so touching that what he loves is feeling fresh and new as an artist. So many of us avoid trying new things because we don't have the humility for it. Especially folks who are so accomplished! Truly so inspiring ❤

3k said he didnt know what to rap about but sure had alot to say in this interview
Music without words is so peaceful. Delta blues hits the soul different. Sometimes words get in the way of the feeling
I agree but wtf is this new stuff lol
@@mitchel5767Elevate your mind bro. Just because you don't understand don't mean you should be afraid to listen but then again it's hard to not see 3stacks as a rapper. Lol

He seems so much more at peace, Im happy for him. He was struggling with his existence for a long time. Pumped to hear this album
Missed you 3000. Whatever you do, you'll always be supported. Regardless of how big or small the audience is - you'll always be creating that light for someone.
You can tell he’s living a peaceful life. He looks fantastic ❤️.

Nah
Andre 3000 answered these questions very well! It's clear he is just riding the wave of where he his life is taking him. It isn't about trying to keep up with anyone else but himself. It's more than fame and success
❤❤❤❤❤I love his vibe. It's so laid back and so unbothered. He gives off that aura. I feel so relaxed just listening to him. Do your thing, Andre.
His wife is a beautiful Thai woman named April who is responsible for his evolution . They are always out and having fun locally .
This dude was such a huge part of my middle and high school years in the 90s. Seeing him so happy and at peace with himself and his life now is so wonderful. I love everything about this.
Seeing Andre happy, inspired, and so well adjusted warms my heart. He didn’t have to be this vulnerable but he did. Thank you. Incredible interview
After his verse in "Life of the party" I was afraid he was in a dark place, I'm so glad to see him like this now
Incredible subject for an interview, but the interviewer was pretty meh. André 3000 would rock an interview with literally anyone, as you can see here.
Exquisitely fine wine ❤
@@jerslensI agree…I’m kind of confused about the choice of interviewer. Some of the questioning fell flat…
I absolutely LOVE the idea of just casually becoming friends with Andre 3000 at a laundromat. What an awesome interview.
Words can't express how just seeing Andre, let alone hearing him, has lifted my spirit! So grateful for this opportunity 🙏🏽

I would love for him to write a book talking about his life after OutKast. He has a beautiful heart and voice.
I saw that in the movie Idlewild. He's so much more different than Big Boi, but they balance each other out. Andre' is far more talented in my opinion though
I agree with you totally.

I've always genuinely loved everything about him & he just reminded me why. Congrats to him on his evolution

"YES"!!!!!
Beautifully said!!!!!
They were very futuristic!
Andre 3000 has always been down to earth & forreal I love his new music & will be purchasing it wish him much success 💐💜
Can’t wait.

@@foeshizzelHow you gon tell somebody else what they gonna do with they life? 😂 you sound like all these people tryna tell 3Stacks what to create.

It's interesting for sure. Reminiscent of Pharoah Sanders and Sun Ra.
I love overalls too. Amen to living free and creative
Andre is gonna change the game again. The culture is moving into a new direction, he's actually giving us art.
Nah ....
His authenticity and honesty of not giving us what he know his heart wouldnt be into is honorable.
One of the best interviews I have ever seen. Seeing Andre so mellowed out and speaking about his current life really puts life into perspective.
