Scanners and diagnostics tools come in many different flavors, but this one also includes a battery tester. This additional functionality makes this a 2 in 1 device that can test regular flooded, AGM, AGM Spiral and GEL batteries and many different battery standards such as CCA, MCA, CA, JIS, DIN, SAE etc. The great thing is that you can run the codes using the OBD2 functionality, see live data or if your vehicle will pass emissions and using the same device test the battery inside and outside of the vehicle! You don't even have to disconnect or remove the battery.

Thanks for making this review video. All scanner companies, including Foxwell's advert for this very model of scanner, imply that all of their devices can scan and clear codes for every sensor in the car. Thanks for clarifying that this one only does the drive train. That takes it off my list.

the UK used to use Imperial Measurements (and still do for certain measumrenents,) until about mid '60's, so I've heard a LOT, while growing up, "Metric or English" but now more referred to Metric or Imperial.

If my car is cranking but not starting, and I want to confirm that its not something besides the fuel pump; will one of these analyzers work if the engine is just cranking or if just the ignition is on? Thanks for any guidance.

What do you think about the Ancel AD530 which tests battery through the OBD2 connector?… no need to put clamps on physical battery. Thank you for your input.

As far as I understand those are different tests. This one can actually test capacity etc. while those that do it via OBD can only see voltage drop from which they deduce the health of the battery.
