  • Traditional motorcycle speed races started in 1929 as the initiative of František Hladěna who organized the race on the grass fields of the Pardubice racecourse for the first time. Since 1930 international racers have taken part in it, and since 1964 the races have taken place at the gravle course of the Speedway Racing Stadium in Pardubice -- Svítkov. The first prize is the renown Golden Helmet, regularly manufactured by the Jewelry Lejhanec since 1990. The most successful racer of all times is Ole Olsen of Denmark who has won the trophy seven times.
