    many reasons, mine included:
    - being an athlete
    - having a heavy period
    - sensitivity to chemicals in pads / tampons

i would love to switch to something else since pads are pretty gross, but i can't use anything internal so my options are washable pads or period underwear which require a washing machine i do not have 😭 forever stuck with the horrible feeling of a pad

I soak and hand wash mine.

i would too, but sadly i have pretty limited mobility + chronic pain in my hands so hand washing is very painful and takes a lot of time.

So a product that helps with the wet cold pad feeling is thinx they are kinda expensive but I personally love them and a really easy low mobility way to rinse the blood in the beginning is stomping them in the shower (no need for a lot of pressure but just push the bloody water out) it's weird and looks like a crime scene but it's so helpful I personally do this a lot

I LOVE this. I also LOVE my washable pads. They hold a ton and the good ones wick moisture away from your skin. The only downside is it's not good for swimming. ❤

I tried switching but after trying 3 different cups I decided the cost savings wasnt there if i had to buy a new one so many times to find one that was comfortable. That being said, I may try a disk some day. Although I'm still a little jaded from all the discomfort with cups.

I felt the same way about cups but did try the Hello disc that she helped make and it’s sooo much better.

Ecoblossom discs are 2 for $15 owned by a veteran and have a ton of different sizes choices of both discs and cups.

Im allergic to disposable products. I can use Tampons about 1 day. If i use them more i get uti's. I get horrid rashes with pads. Even clog pads cause rashes. Period underwear are ok for a day or two. So the disc is the best

I moved to period underwear as I always used to leak with pads and they were sooo uncomfy. Very happy I switched as I'm now way comfier.
Cups and disks I'm not comfortable with using and probs never will be.

I love using a cup for my period, it doesnt have the feeling of extreme wetness that pads do or the extreme dryness that tampons cause.

I just wanna say huge thank you Kim! I’m sixteen and tried a menstrual cup for the first time. At first it hurt a bit to insert sitting down but I stood up and I could insert so easily. After wearing for a while I realized I needed to trim the stem and now I can barely feel it at all! So much comfier than a pad or tampon. Only thing: is it normal to feel like peeing a little bit when it’s in or am I just adjusting to a new object in me lol?

Talk to me about a double cervix…well we thought it was. It kind of looks like a figure 8 I am told bits oblong instead of circular and I find it difficult to use anything but tampons and pads. And cups gross me out but maybe I haven’t watched enuf of ur videos😂

I have a retroverted uterus so i feel you. I cant even use tampons without excessive pain! I am absolutely terrified of how much a cup or disc would hurt... let alone if it would even stay!

Can we also talk about vaginal dryness 👀
Cups don't do this, tampons and pads do.

@@saturnbatista2726 I would get it from both, and now after having children and eh.. a little extra dry 😑 but it's nice knowing that during this time I won't be dusty 😂

I want to start trying to use a cup since I'm a tampon user but due to my heavy flow I'm worried that it will be messy upon removal? I use ultra tampons the largest size and on my heaviest days I literally have to change them out every 15 minutes because they are already full and leaking. I believe ultra tampons hold 18 grams of liquid and if the cups hold 60 I'd have to change around every 4 to 5 hrs which is a huge improvement from every 15 to 30 minutes, but I'm just worried that when I go to empty the cup especially if I'm out it would be too messy to use. How could I avoid that and are there any tricks to avoid this also? Thanks so much and I appreciate all of your content. It's incredibly helpful😊

    Many reasons:
    1. My thighs are big so the pad gets all rolled up and gives less absorption space and leaking always used to happen 😫
    2. Comfort. Using a disc it’s the best! Gives more time to actually doing other activities like swimming or just work in peace lol
Also you don’t feel dirty and bulky during summer and elevated temperatures haha
    3. Odorless. Discs and cups are internal products so they don’t keep and actual smell like pads
Your channel definitely changed my life over almost year ago and it has been definitely the best experience ever! 🥰🫶🏽🥹

Ive tried cups and im really sad that they dont seem to work for me. Is there an issue with cups vs retroverted uterus'?

  • @BroRichSisDee
    @BroRichSisDee Před měsícem

I became sensitive to the chemicals in disposable pads, for some reason tampons doesn't absorb with me. I use cloth pads and now disc. I love cups but since i tried disc, I've became sensitive to the suction of cups😢
