What I love is this pedal demo is that it sounds like you’re using 3 pedals - an ambient reverb, a reverse delay, and some sort of overdrive - except its one pedal. Insane.
I can’t get past this loop track. It is musically addicting. What a great melody. Beautiful tones. Sublime playing. What a beautiful man you are both inside and out!

I've seen many demos about this pedal. Each with their own unique way of using this pedal. Chords of Orion was the best. This one a close second. If and when I get of these it will be used to create a melding of neo classic and Genesis styles. This pedal is groovy and far out! Great job dude!
I love the way ambient pedals like this sound, but I don't want to spend more time turning knobs than playing, and I always wonder how they're going to sound in a mix. Your video answered both questions for me. Now I'm in full fledged gear lust for this pedal. Thanks!

9:22 mark irrationally pre ordered the pedal. Wanted to start an ambitious ambient project but was looking for a pedal that wasn’t the standard multi effect pedal. They just seem so outdated now. They all sound good but not experimental enough for me. I need make sounds not included in your standard board. Thanks for the demo. You helped me a lot. Now how to convince the wife! Cheers! I can't decide about this pedal. For sure it's cool but I'm not sure if it's useful for me. I have the same issue about Empress Zoia, they both seems very rich pedals, but I still couldn't imagine them on my pedalboard.
Great demo (although I think you are overloading input levels in a few cases?), thanks! I have similar tastes and application for this pedal, I love it thus far. Happy New Year!
Disappointing really. Was hoping the Microcosm would add more uniqueness. I think the Eventide has those sounds covered & more. (Plus the H9 will survive the stomping better on a board & has a more intuitive UI). I can't imagine being on stage, looking down and trying to tap out the right preset I'd saved with my toe covering up the LED's. (Gimme bold numbers I don't have to decode.) Micrcosm UI seems much better suited for desktop-tweakers than performers. - Ultimately, none of the extra "characters" really created a sound that couldn't be achieved with a combination of other pedals. (Even the differences in the "wave shape" seemed sorta ho-hum). People may argue that the complexity of the loop taps CAN create unique.reverb variations, but will they cut through a mix in a way that matters? That listeners will notice in a song? That justify $460+ ? - At the end of the day, it sounded like a reverb with a filter.
I just got mine. Now I'm trying to figure out where to put it in the effects loop chain. I'm assuming it will go after all the other pedals. After the last delay, in the chain.
Great video! How did you build that nice drum track? Would be awesome to get an overview video of how you track a full song (unless you’ve done it before and I lost it ;))

Hi, I've just bought the Microcosm to be imported to the UK, after watching this, i'm even more excited! Quick question, I had the Infinte Jets and it wasn't true bypass, even though Hologram said it was. The sound was still shaped when turned to completely dry, I'm hoping that's not the case with the Microcosm? Do you know if it's been fixed on this? Thanks
hmm, i'm not certain and i actually have it on loan to a friend so i can't check. i've found the folks at hologram to be really great and i'm sure they'd be responsive if you were to ask!
The In The Mix part sounds awesome, but in every individual effect demo the sound crackles and distorts quite a bit... Not in a bad way per se; it's a nice, warm distorted sound, but I would've liked some clean sounds as well.. I can only assume that's intentional, right?

Lol would be, my ditto looper broke recently so it would be cool to buy this as use it for clean tones too as normal looper! Great video man I really like this pedal
Where do you have this in your signal chain? Do you think it would take something like a Sputnik III or a low/med drive into it? I placed a pre-order for one of these but am not really an ambient guy per-se, was just looking for a weirdbox with a looper. Excited for this thing!
Oh how I wish you hadn’t done this demo Ryan. I heard some clips of this that sounded stupendous, but wrote it off as waayyy too complex. Ruined the theory man, you ruined it! BTW, killer track - as always.
I have yet to hear a good guitar demo of this pedal. It always interrupts the player. It fit better with keys or eurorack, but I can't appreciate it on guitar. Too 'Glitch'
