  • We put stick-on foot pads to the test. We were "barefoot" on the grass, in the streets, on the beach and more to see if they really work. They are waterproof and they protect your feet from the elements. Could these stickers replace your shoes?

If conventions required footwear they would probably require more than these. They do make special shoes that look just like feet that could be used in conventions, such as what they make for a Fred Flintstone costume.

All that said, it is an interesting approach.
I went with the Xero "DIY" 4 mm sandal for the reusable and thin approach. Works well.

    10 reasons why its terrible:
    1. wasteful:
    2. provides 0 warmth in the winter and good luck walking in snow with those
    3. its nasty all kinds of dirt will get all over the rest off your feet
    4. getting into someones house you have to leave them on which again is nasty
    5. very unprofessional look
    6. provides no protection from stubbing your toe among other things
    7. doesn't stay on well (4:43)
    8. traction is terrible
    9. provides no support for your arches = exhausted feet
    10. it defeats the purpose of being barefoot

      2. u must be really dumb if u dont have warm enough shoes during winter. Nobody wouldnt be walking bare foot during winter anyway???
      9. Well we can argue if regular shoes r the best thing for ur feet either (especially when a lot of ppl probably use shoes that dont provide enough support anyway) and walking without shoes is pretty much the most natural way to walk anyway. Our legs r literally made for walking without shoes.

So irrelevant. Same goes for stepping on your toes unless you have steel shoes it'd hurt anyway. From my experience shoes can't hold the weight of a whole foot they just shrink under them. 1. Nails
Pads can't give you as much protection as a shoe!
      2. Mud
You don't want to get your feet dirty.
      3. Water
You also don't want to get your feet wet.
      4. Failure?
These pads can't even replace sandals smh

But, they're made out of cotton and spandex, so if you step on glass or a nail you're still screwed. Also sucks if something falls on top of your foot. Or if you stub your toe.

This would be good for a water park when they often don't let you wear flip-flops or water shoes on rides, and the ground is kinda gross. Could also be good for the beach, you can still put your toes in the sand but protect your feet from stuff.

    • @corettaha7855
      @corettaha7855 Před 5 lety +14

Skylar Ramsay they will probably just rule these out as well, especially after a few come off after vigorous use and jam some rides causing a few injuries or deaths, not to mention contaminating the water with all the nastiness they collect, and also grossing everybody out floating around in the pools when they inevitably come off.

Coretta Hattereaux there’s plenty of chlorine at water parks. These collect just as much crap as your feet would so that doesn’t make sense.
