Literally art is just like that. Want to learn to code? Just dive in. Want to learn to paint? Just dive in. Want to learn to make comics? Just dive in. Want to sculpt? Just dive in. It's that way with all art, with dance, with music, it just takes practice, dedication, and motivation. It's not like being a doctor or something like that. It's just up to you and your creativity. Lessons are optional and for some even hold you back.

I think the best way to learn art is to observe. You don’t always have to be formally taught. I’m studying to become a writer, and when I say “studying” I mean that I’m reading books. And it works. My scores in English in school have always been through the roof, not because I like to sit and learn all the time, but because reading books and experimenting with writing enough just teaches me what’s natural. I think that in the same way, observing drawings, sculptures, etc. and experimenting while recreating stuff like that is really enough to get a sense for it.

Not really because as a prop the studio can reuse the same prop possibly for other productions. I would think that would save costs as opposed to making real food for each take, movie, show, etc.

For what I know, In the very beginning of the shoot of Harry Potter, all the foods are real but all of it were just wasted because it's all have been spoiled. So because of that, they make fake foods for the foods the cast will not eat for the scene but there still real foods and that's what they eat... 😊 hahaha sorry if that's too long.

Artulous no the artist takes time to prepare the burger to make it look that good then takes a picture. If people took the time to make burgers that looks that good your time and money would be wasted because they would probably charge 10x more than usual.

If they're visibly eating it, it's most likely real. If it's just in the shot, it's most likely fake.
I make miniature polymer clay food charms and it's actually incredibly easy. You can even add soap scents to it to make it smell like real food.
