He's a traitor to the empire
@Just don't question me. the empire did take prisoners tho. Crosshair was just more violent due to the inhibitor chip and because of the newly transitioned empire. The empire needed to put fear over the galaxy first and this is one of the methods.

It's like he is trying to calm him self after that he did something messed up and knows it but can't help because of that chip in his head make him do it, but deep down crosshair knows he did wrong. As we saw at the end of episode that he might regret what he has done and dont know why
@@jannechu5862 From the way I interpretted it, Crosshair taking that shot really sent him over the edge, he is completely gone now, there is nothing but a cold, dark soul there. Even if the chip is removed, he has now permanently changed for the worse. Maybe he'll redeem himself in the future when the Bad Batch find a way to remove his chip, but he'll probably sacrifice himself due to being unable to live with his actions under the Empire.
It's probably the scariest time we've heard that line delivered.

The irony is the recruit that got killed actually WAS a better soldier; he was capable of thinking for himself and knew Imperial soldiers needed to present as peacekeepers, not oppressors! That’s how clones thought before Order 66, and it’s also how they won the real war!
They didn't win the war. Darth Vader did, by shutting down the droids. The clones just kept the droids at bay.

I just want to point out that the second Crosshair addresses the disobedient recruit, the other immediately stand straight and to the side.
This might be just me, but I love how Crosshairs' helmet looks like a cross between his original and a stormtroopers. It really sells the fact that this is the inbetween of Ep 3 and Ep 4. It's kind of funny to me especially since that would mean the first Stormtrooper is a skilled marksman.
It's a V1 Death trooper helmet for me.

I dunno - Crosshair and Hunter were constantly at odds in the clone wars episodes... not to mention that he was perfectly ready - and willing - to shoot the kid Hunter tried to save...
it's not the same. the inhibiter chip only amplified Crossfair's impulses. i said these things would happen.
Except Crosshair would have done this regardless if he had the inhibitor chip or not,as shown in the Series finale.
@@rustycookiepekka6875 I mean look at Wrecker. Would you say he was cruel?

That's one hell of a way to break in the new recruits. Welcome to the Empire.
God, I love crosshairs voice...
Crosshair's VA is so perfect for his role. It sounds chilling, unhinged, and effective which is how I would describe Crosshair at this stage in the show.

Dee Bradley Baker voice of all the clones
He sounds like Makarov from Modern Warfare
The Empire soldiers with Morales, rreally interesthing
You can see why they were the first to go though
This was in the early days when they were testing out non clones, so at this point, anyone signing up is still under the similar mindset of the Republic, where things like this didn't happen, or if they did, was kept under wraps. So yeah, it's gonna take a little time before the Storm Troopers stop showing any morality and just do whatever they're ordered too without question.
Regular army and storm troopers are completely different. Storm troopers are much like the Nazi SS or the Iranian IRGC, a splinter from the obverse military that are more indoctrinated and held to a higher esteem.
They really made sure to weed them out though
@@NarasimhaDiyasena I mean George Lucas did base the Empire and Storm Troopers as space nazis.

Rampart's plan to replace the clones would've completely fallen apart if Crosshair had simply told Tarkin that his conscripted soldiers were just as hesitant to follow orders as Hunter was 🤔
I think Rampart and Tarkin knew all along that one trooper disobeyed orders. They were just shocked the other three went through with them so there are possibilities.
@@dustyrc well he should have told em to have them be kept in check as they tried to disobey
Rempart is trying to save the Clones when you think about it - he thinks they still have a chance to contribute to the Empire's future
Tarkin considers the Clones a threat to Palpatine's rule (the Senate isn't fully under Palpatine's control - it still exists - and the Kaminoans wield too much independent power on it) and expensive as all fuck (remember, they've already started building the Death Star) so it was in Crosshairs interested NOT to tell him about his 'new soldiers'
I just realized that the guy Crosshair killed was basically his past-self, disobeying orders that are completely wrong regardless if told to follow them. If he killed who he was, it basically means that the old Crosshair is now dead and a new shadow takes over what is left
That's really interesting

"good soldiers follow orders"
The best ones know when the orders are wrong
Soldiers are not created to interpret orders. They are made to follow them. As long as it’s not against the interest of the faction or violated the rules then they do what are ordered to do. If they forsake their duty to the faction that made them soldiers, they are no longer soldiers. Good soldiers follow orders.
@@kingorange7739 just blindly following orders doesn't make you a soldier. It makes you a slave
@@1nfinitune533 a slave is forced into service. A soldier chose that service. They chose to be the enforcers of the faction they became soldiers of. If they cannot stomach following orders that are immoral then they shouldn’t be soldiers. It’s as simple as that. Soldiers were not trained and payed to question superiors. They were not made to preach their morality. They were created to defend the faction and strike down the enemies of it. As long as the order is not self sabotaging. No order is wrong to a good soldier
@@kingorange7739 Clones are essentially slaves though. They had inhibitor chips in their head that forced them to do what they were told to. They were created in millions to fight the war.
@@1nfinitune533 ok yes. I never argued the clones weren’t slaves. But normal Imperial Soldiers made their choice
Ironically, if this stormtrooper had successfully convinced the others to ignore Crosshair, and had actually taken the civilians prisoner, Tarkin would have had them all executed for failing to obey orders. This would have discredited Rampart's theory about volunteers being more loyal than clones.

“He’s more machine than man now.” Can be both figurative and literal. For Vader and Echo it’s literal for Crosshair it’s figurative.
