Really appreciate this video review. You just saved me a lot of money
Ha, glad to hear it! I still use this head regularly. It lives in my slider case and makes set ups a breeze. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate this a lot. I've done a whole lot of video, from indie films to corporate and I'm always happy to find some decent low priced gear.
Starting over from scratch, I'm happy to see affordable gear actually work.
Sorry I'm just seeing this comment - I usually try to respond to everyone quickly. Yes, it's nice to find that sweet spot of good gear at a reasonable price. Thanks for watching!
Thanks a bunch for this video
Thanks a bunch for watching!
Nice video Matt. I’ve only just bought their Video Tripod legs to go with my Manfrotto 502MH Fluid head. It’s an excellent quality basic video tripod and for €85 I can’t complain. I’ll be keeping an eye out for more of their products in future. 👍👍
Cool. I love the Manfrotto fluid heads.
Thanks for watching!
Your review of it actually swung me to pick it up 👍
@@robkennedyphotography1766 it's a winner!
0:36 Good point and I'm not either Too Rich to buy cheap things but as always, when making a decision, price does that same nasty trick, again and again on me!!! Am I making sense, déjà vu or am I convoluted for you enough?! T👀
Nice!
haha just noticed you said you are a fishkeeper! That's why I bought this ball head! CZcams fish fame here I come. What's your favorite LFS in Atl?
Cool 👍 I actually am down to one tank right now. We have a 125 in the living room full of African Cichlids. I get all my fist from South East Cichlids in Watkinsville, Georgia. Butch is the BEST. Check them out if you're into Cichlids, he does a huge mail-order business.
Hi Matt, what kind of tabletop or surface did you used in this video. Really liked it because it doesn't have any glare from the lights.
It's just a piece of black foamcore. I get mine from a local frame shop. A 30" x 60" piece usually runs around $20-$25. Thanks for watching!
I talk about the surface in my Overhead Rig video. You can see it here if you want: czcams.com/video/YuquCYdE180/video.html
@@MattSpaugh Thanks for the quick reply!
Hi Matt, thanks for the great video. Do you know if it'll support the weight/size of a Canon C100 mark i?
The specs may say 'yes', but if I had a C100, I dont' think I would put it on this ball head. It's a stout little thing, but that might be pushing it - especially if you had a decent sized lens. Thanks for watching - hope that helps.
@@MattSpaugh Thanks for the quick response and the advice. Any ball heads you'd recommend for the C100?
@@BenSharples22 tough call. Kinda depends on your overall weight. You might want to consider the Innorel E34 or D40. I have not used either one but I would think that they'd have similar features and quality of build. If you end up with either one of those, let me know how they work out for you.
@@MattSpaugh Thanks for the suggestions, will be sure to check them out and let you know if I go with one of them.
hello What do you think about purchasing this for my yn600 pro light for effective panning and tilting?"
THis is made more for holding cameras, but if you're talking about the YONGNUO YN600 LED Video Light, I don't see any reason why that wouldn't work. It would definitely hold that much weight.
This ball-head has an arca-swiss mount. So you'd need to adapt your light to fit that.
Hope that helps, thanks for watching.
@@MattSpaugh Thanks so much Matt. I really appreciate your fast response.
I have a much bigger Innorel ball head and it has a major problem. The ball wouldn't move when the temperatures are below freezing. It's well worth the money to get a good one.
No matter how much you spend, metal tends to freeze when the temps below freezing.
@@MattSpaugh I agree metal freezes. But shouldn't be to the level of borderline unusable which was the case with my B44.
