The reason that it runs out of fuel fast is because rocket engines are already less efficacy then plane engines and on top of that plane engines use the air intake to get oxidizer into the engines then they mix that with plane fuel but with a rocket engine there are no air intakes soooo that y that might be a terrable explanation I did not go into detail at all
