I found this by accident, and wound up binging the whole season while parked on the couch. An unexpectedly good watch.
I discovered this show yesterday, a couple of hours after devouring some empanadas. Thank God for the timing.
Did they have the secret ingredient though??
I remember someone mentioning this on IG and came across it on Amazon Prime and I was in need of something to watch. Binged the whole thing in one sitting and loved it! I immediately went and told several friends that they should watch it. Honestly, loved the characters of both Luis and Dolores and their romance had a tragic ending but it was definitely one I could get behind--they had good chemistry together! But I guess Dolores' want for self preservation was stronger than the want of love, which I can understand. But also, she just wouldn't let the whole Dominic thing go--girl, the phone line was disconnected when you called him after your arrest, that should spell it out for you right there!
This was one of my most anticipated series, and I wasn’t disappointed. I do hope it’s green lit for a 2nd season.
Nah nah nah, do yourself a favor and listen to the podcast. It does not compare. 10 out of 10. I think the voice actors should have been the actors in the show too because they did a phenomenal job
I'll check this out. I've been watching Deadlock. It's kind of a dark comedy drama murder mystery, the characters are crazy lol

I'll tell you mate , the amount of times I'm just about to start a new show only to find that you've just reviewed it is crazy ! We have very similar tastes , on that note I have a recommendation for you sir , seth Rogens new show Platonic , it's good and he's not just doing his shtick where he laughs every 5 seconds , one to watch

Sweet, I've had it on my list to check out. Glad to hear it's different from Rogen's regular stuff. I've enjoyed him when he's more grounded so his natural humor shines through.
@MoviesAndMunchies definitely ! It's a much more nuanced and grown up performance , he needs to do more stuff like this as he's such a funny guy but he was definitely beginning to rely on his laugh for easy cheap laughs , he has genuine and excellent chemistry with Byrne aswell , a real return to form

I expected a higher couch rating with that review! Must be repetitive.
It's also not something I'd revisit. The repetition though was a biggie for me in terms of overall enjoyment.
Its kinda trashy but its something you absolutely get hooked on with great pacing and a simple yet great story that leaves you in need for more. What I liked about the show was the randomness in the decisions made like the constant fear of going back to jail and suddenly murdering gideon. Quite catchy
Please review SOUND OF FREEDOM! Amazing real life story of Tomothy Ballard who rescued 200.000 children from sexual trafficking. The movie is so respectful and beautiful (I've cryed 4 times watching it). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Binge watched. Disappointed that this hispanic woman who is a serial killer is made out to be some hero. She is giving the hispanic community a terrible example because they are so new to this country. My concern is that they could take this more personally and think this is almost expected from their culture here in this new country and behave the same way as Dolores. There are already a lot more murders happening because of the influx of people in America. I felt sick to my stomach watching this and speed watched it because I was already too invested by the time I realized how dark this show is. I will likely not watch any further series

She isn't made out to be a hero, i watched the series and her actions and monologues makes it obvious that she is a psychotic killer.
No, it wasn't in any way trying to make her a hero. She was bitter and mentally ill.
"New to this country?" Spanish-speaking people have been here for over 500 years. Longer than anyone other than Native Americans. The hispanic/latino community, like every other group of people, is filled with diverse individuals. Consequently, they should play diverse roles in film, literature, theatre, etc. Type casting any group as one way or another is stereotyping and patronizing.
Jeremiah was the closest thing to a heroe in the show and to me that was conveyed well
Show was def a 4.5. Or atleat 5 . it wasl awsome. Justina is an amazing actor. She reminds me of every hispanic aunt.
