      Congrats with your Air Fryer. It only shows the temperature because the air fryer doesn't know of course the amount of food you are preparing. That is why it doesn't set the temperature for you. For example, a whole chicken needs a longer cooking time than just one piece of chicken.

    I was wondering if it could be used as Microwave, to warm up food at home as well.

    • @AirfryDaily
      @AirfryDaily  Před 3 lety +2

      You can, but an air fryer tends to dry out food. So I recommend using a baking tray and a lid to place on top of the tray to keep moisture inside of your dish.

    what do you make of the numerous amazon reviews complaining of smoke produced by the philips xxl air fryer? why is it a common problem in these reviews? videos on youtube all look ok to me, so i don't get it.

    • @AirfryDaily
      @AirfryDaily  Před 2 lety +3

      Great question. I will make a video on this. It is because only the Philips Airfryer XXL sucks air instead of blowing like all the other air fryers. This means that fat (like oil) can get sucked against the heating element and then burns. So this results in smoke. The Philips Airfryer XXL is a super powerful air fryer, with 2 fans. But the main downside is that with some products it can result in smoke.

      @ded_lej Před 2 lety

      @@AirfryDaily alright, you have a quick bit of advice to prevent the smoke? i'm probably going to pick up some avocado oil since it seems like it's got a higher burning temp. lmk, thanks.

      Yes, you can. But make sure it fits. You can make a whole chicken in almost every airfryer. I recommend heating it at around 160 degrees celcius for 60 minutes.
