So easy and fun to play. The piano is so fascinating. What mood those few notes in C can create.

yes, it helped so much when you tapped out the rhythm. i couldnt really hear that rhythm in the song. but when you broke it down to rhythm only, and after i listened to your tapping over and over, did it myself, and then did it while staring at the sheet music, i finally got it! also it really helps to see the dotted eighths juxtaposed with the quarter notes, as opposed to the tied 16th + 8th notes that they have in the official sheet music. You play beautifully!

Many thanks for another great lesson! Very concise and informative.
I really liked the live lesson that you and Jon did on "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys. Since it isn't overly complex, I wouldn't mind a tutorial on "Fallin" by Alicia Keys :D

      Because it's written in 3/4.

am I crazy or at 5:23 theres a key on the left hand that is played that doesn't match the notes at the bottom?

This lesson would be much better with some improved tips on how to tackle the rhythm and build and practice polyrhythms.

I like to consolidate rhythms. Bit like learning to dance by tapping your hands on thighs.
    Great song thanks

Thanks for the video. I had a hard time figuring out the rhythm until you started drumming it out on your thighs and it just clicked for me.

It’d be so much easier to understand if you just said it’s in 3 over 4 time. With the left hand in 3 and the right hand in 4, instead of dancing around it.

Most of the people that watch tutorial can't read sheet notes, stop bitching about it.
