Why 15s over 12s? Those have to be pretty heavy
Would like to see a comparison of the 12” ZLX G2 vs the Everse 12”. My thoughts I’d get more for the money out of the Everse considering it’s battery powered and I love my Everse 8. But not sure will have to look up the specs and compare. 🤔

Loved the review... I have a question about something different (I am already a BIG EV fan...all I use) in one of your previous videos you had a screen set up in portrait mode, I think it was set up in a Wedding Showcase you were doing. I am looking to use the same application to show my Photo Wall... my question is are you using a screen that has a portrait mode already in the screen or are you using software that allows you to turn your screen to portrait mode and shoe pics and videos in the portrait view? Thanks
I think that was a rented unit, it wasn't my production in other words. I do recall what you're talking about.
Beside rechargeable what is the diffrent with the EVERSE series ?
Hi Joe, I purchased the Everse 12 from watching your review and love it. My question is I want to pair it with one of these. Will they look the same at the front ?
Honestly, they look VERY similar. I don't think a guest would know the difference.
All ev speakers look the same on the front
LED is in a different spot, but if you turn it off in settings it looks super similar

All everse stuff is battery powered.
Yes it Sounds different.
The zlx goes slightly deeper, and the tweeter is much more powerful, because it’s a 1,4” compression driver compared to a dome tweeter in the everse 8.
Also, the zlx goes about 5db louder than the everse. So almost double the volume.
I thought the ELX was the 2nd version of their entry level speakers. I think they have too many speaker lines. But I love their quality and style!
They have several lines, but they all kinda have their purpose
Is the performance the same as the Everse 8? Also you said 27lbs. I read 24lbs on another web site?
ZLX-8P-G2 is considerably louder than EVERSE8 (126db vs. 121db MAX SPL) and is just under 24lbs.
What setting woukd you use on the Elx 12 sub to pair with the 8 in tops?
Is there a 10" in the menu? Like a GLX10" maybe?

Nothing really new here, I have 12 of the ZLX's for my company now. Great review Joe but I'll keep what I have especially now where I hardly use speakers on stands anymore with 4 LD 44G2's, 4 EV50, 2 EV30m, JBLs and so many more speakers. I was hopping they go after the MAUI 44's with a bigger EV50 or EV100 LOL
Thanks for all the support of EV!!! Totally understand you are waiting on something else, but ZLX had to be updated. Might not be worth an upgrade for you as your ZLX are still great, but with lots of new features, improved performance and the same price ZLX-G2 ensures the family remains competitive in the market for a long time!
I heard there will be a ev70 and that it will be a beast.. but it’s not ready yet.

Is this a good match with Everse 8?
I would think so.
Very nice but too heavy. I use lightweight JBLs (watch my review) on their 8 inch which weighs just 17 . Nice cabinets though but weighs like the Mackies.
What's the difference between the ZLX15 G2 passive and the ELX200-15 passive since the ZLX15 G2 is 50€ more expensive now?
Not sure what the difference in price in Europe is or why...in U.S. ELX15 is $100 more than ZLX...main difference is in overall output and the ELX is louder and has fly points on it.

I literally just bought the ZLX15 G2 versions. I compared them with JBL and QSC and sound quality wasnt even close. Im on the fence about the subs though...
Wasn't even close, as in they weren't as good or far better than the JBL and QSC?
@@danielkhasin They were FAR better than QSC or JBL. It was astounding to me how good they sounded, so I bought 2 of them with 2 EKX 18 subs. Sounds AWESOME!!!!

Yes! The XLR jacks accept 1/4" cables in the center...I think.

Yawn. EV is bathing itself in mediocrity for several years. How about upgrading ETX and bring us a line array like the QSC L class...an ETX line array please! 🙏 don't MAKE me go QSC!
#1 market share and 1,000,000+ units sold of the old ZLX isn't exactly mediocrity. This might not be for you , but not everybody can bench press 415 lbs. R&D on the stuff you want takes time.
Plus the etx is still incredibly competitive with all current offering!

EV is dead.
It has been dead since Bosch bought it in 2006.
