www.ballistol.com/index.htm If you guys want the little 1.5 oz cans call Doug or Pat 1800-253-2460 the little cans might not be on the Ballistol site but they are in fact available.
Pete, to avoid any problem messing up the crown I use a bore snake now. Especially good when you clean a revolver and you have to go in from the crown side with a regular rod and brush.
it never dries up John it always stays slick out of all the gun lubes ive ever used in a week my guns dry, thats just 1 thing theres many other reasons also but i got to take a shit so i dont have time to explain lol
Love the video. I personally do not get any lubricants close to the firing pin or channel. I like to spray down the slide with alcohol (a mild solvent in itself) This, plus a good clean burning powder will keep the slide like new. With respect to the barrel. It is actually treated. It is (up to 2011) Tenifer treated, The Tenifer surface treatment process for barrel and slide has set standards in this regard. The Tenifer process optimizes the molecular structure of the metal surfaces. :)
New glock 21 owner here thanks for the video and all the tips!!!! Really helped me out the first time I cleaned the gun. Keep up the good work and thanks again!!
I just fired my first 76 rounds out of my Glock 21 this morning. Grew up shooting but new gun owner. I really appreciate this video. Thanks for posting it!
I've seen plenty of cleaning videos, but as I'm gonna be picking up a Glock 19 in about 2 weeks these videos are still a ton of help. They are informative and I always welcome new videos. It keeps it fresh in the mind, if you've not done it before. Thanks, :D
Hey Pete, I went to a fight the other day and a hockey game broke out. Last week I went to a hockey game between two leper colonies and they had to stop it. Yeh, there was a face off in the corner. Keep your powder dry. DRF
True, true, DAME Pete , don't know when the last time I cleaned my Glock19. Reminds me of going over to my neighbors house to see what's going on. I think I'll go bring my gun over & get Jim to show me how to clean my Glock,;-) :-D Because I hate digging that crap out..He's already set up,we can BS for a few while we're @ it. There was a big gun show this just this las weekend too. But I didn't get a chance to go to. Hate salivating over toys I have no $ to buy. But it's always nice to look :-)
Channels like yours, and a few others that I watch are way more interesting than anything on the friggin' boob-tube!!! Over the past couple of years, that I've been watching,I've actually learned a great deal. Thanks brother!!!
Pete, if you buy Children's toothbrushes - the heads on them are smaller, and it's easier to clean handguns and small areas with ^.^ I got all mine on Clearance at Walmart for 50 cents each !
very important aspect of cleaning is inspection of parts for abnormal wear--you never know you might have a part failing for some reason--it happens from time to time, not personally with glock, but have seen a crack in a safety part once on a S&W long time ago
Thanks Pete! I also think cleaning is very important just picked up a Beretta bobcat and watched a gun cleaning video on it and Ballistol does indeed look like a great product Thank's for the link!
Winchester Talons, Federal HST, Remington Golden Saber bonded are all great choices also.....+P is ok but don't use +P+ ammo in a Glock unless you want it blow up.
I was curious, on the Hickok45 cleaning video he does not recommend spraying the slide with Ballistol because some of it may get in the striker area which he says is not good at all. He cleans his slide with rubbing alcohol and then lightly with a q-tip or something will put a little Ballistol on certain areas of the slide. Just curious what your and other peoples opinion are of this. Thanks for the great videos.....
here's my thought. You have ballistol but its multipurpose so it has oil in it. I thought you weren't suppose to have oil at all in the back part of your slide because it collects dust and dirt
If you REALLY want to get your guns clean, blast them off with an air compressor after you've cleaned them with Ballistol. You will be amazed at how much gunk comes out of the seams and pins. I also take a toothbrush, wrap it in a T shirt, and then scrub it. Ballistol is GREAT stuff!
How many glocks do you have? I just got my first glock, the Glock 21, and it's absolutely amazing! I've shot a total of about 73 rounds through it, and I'm probably going to keep this glock forever. I love it. I heard in one of your 21 videos that it's your favorite one to shoot. I'm glad I chose what I chose!
ok now your over thinking it bro this glock will shoot no matter what and your worried about a little ballistol getting in the slide? really? its not a piano its a law enforcement issued firearm.
I'm the type who like cleaning my weapons, after firing a must after sitting for a while a must, not so much as a full detail but a light cleaning (OCD)
I've found the odor to be quite awful, is the aerosol different from the Spray bottle? I want to use it, but the wife HATES it. I have no special area to do gun cleaning..
YO Pete! Don't forget to put this one in the Cleaning playlist! Also as a request, can you do a playlist with all your 1911 videos! Keep up the great works!
I have some silver streaks in my new Glock 19 barrel after firing winchester FMJ. Is this normal? It's not copper fouling. Is it just the finish wearing off???
Ballistol is the best plain and.simple. good vid.
as long as you dont change, no one is going to unsubscribe, man. Your channel is really more fun than the other ones, they are dull.
Pete, to avoid any problem messing up the crown I use a bore snake now. Especially good when you clean a revolver and you have to go in from the crown side with a regular rod and brush.
Great video!!!
My first legal buy is this gun Glock 21. Love the gun the recoil is alot at first but now I got the hang of it. awesome gun
good video Pete...guess I am old fashioned, I will choose Hoppe's 9 every time, it has treated me good for many years.
the spray cans are all in one the liquid bottle are for different strengths
it never dries up John it always stays slick out of all the gun lubes ive ever used in a week my guns dry, thats just 1 thing theres many other reasons also but i got to take a shit so i dont have time to explain lol
Man those little Ballistol cans are sweet might get one of them and just keep it in my shooting bag

Good video as usual.
I use Ballistol and I really like it alot. Like Pete said, it's all 3 in 1. It has like a pine tree smell kinda.
New glock 21 owner here thanks for the video and all the tips!!!! Really helped me out the first time I cleaned the gun. Keep up the good work and thanks again!!
Good stuff thanks!
No wonder Ron's firing pin channel got jacked up a while back.
I just fired my first 76 rounds out of my Glock 21 this morning. Grew up shooting but new gun owner. I really appreciate this video. Thanks for posting it!
I've been using only Ballistol for two years on all my guns. No problems GREAT stuff! Love it!
Rock on Pete.

hello pete i like glock to but the xdm from spring field is easy to clean as well.
in my opining.
I like to use the plastic floss picks and a cloth patch to get into the slide grooves. I trim the point off it won't go thru the patch.
Nice vid
I will have to check out ballistol
Thanks you
u dont need to clean ur glock until after hundreds of rounds but if ur OCD when it comes to keeping guns clean i understand
Solvent & oil works well enough for me. Maybe a bit of grease if you have a Sig.
Everything else is just fluff.
Good video, at any rate.
You would know!

Ballistol is hard to find locally here in mid michigan.
Channels like yours, and a few others that I watch are way more interesting than anything on the friggin' boob-tube!!! Over the past couple of years, that I've been watching,I've actually learned a great deal. Thanks brother!!!
I started using ballistol and have never gone back to the other stuff
@jr10- sameway i clean my glocks. Well worded.
Yea I've used Breakfree to clean and Militec1to lubricate forever. But I'm gonna try Ballistol on a couple guns, why not people seem to love it.

You could put some electrical tape around the braided part of that brush to keep that from happening.
Pete love ur fucking videos. i been ur subscribed for couple months i been watching all ur old videos and i fucking love it keep up the good work.
Great vid man loved it now I am going to by a 21 gen 4 is 637 a bad price?

Being a recently new gun owner I appreciate the video on basic stuff like this even though its common sense to most. Keep up the good videos!

Thanks Pete! I also think cleaning is very important just picked up a Beretta bobcat and watched a gun cleaning video on it and Ballistol does indeed look like a great product Thank's for the link!
who did you blow??
I'm goin to order some and try it on a couple guns, might as well give it a shot.
Winchester Talons, Federal HST, Remington Golden Saber bonded are all great choices also.....+P is ok but don't use +P+ ammo in a Glock unless you want it blow up.
Gotta get the rail
yes i do, on my 1911s but my colts made lose so no grease on that one
funny Eric loves it, its all he ever used on his ar and the rifle never fails
I was curious, on the Hickok45 cleaning video he does not recommend spraying the slide with Ballistol because some of it may get in the striker area which he says is not good at all. Hey Pete, I just went to Double Action today and bought my first 1911 - it was the Black parkerized ATI 1911. Keep up the great videos man.
You still sprayed the striker face.. That can go down into fp channel???
here's my thought. You have ballistol but its multipurpose so it has oil in it. I thought you weren't suppose to have oil at all in the back part of your slide because it collects dust and dirt
id love to try some i hear great things

Was that little plastic container at the end of the vid a pair of surefire sonic defenders?
Ballistol has a new can design? People say it smells weird what do you think Pete? I haven't tried it yet.
How many glocks do you have? I just got my first glock, the Glock 21, and it's absolutely amazing! I've shot a total of about 73 rounds through it, and I'm probably going to keep this glock forever. Well I did learn something. Good idea on the skewer sticks. Thank you sir.
ok now your over thinking it bro this glock will shoot no matter what and your worried about a little ballistol getting in the slide? really? its not a piano its a law enforcement issued firearm.

Non Clorinated Brake cleaner,? Works gereat for cleaning all Firearms & does not hurt the non metal parts.?
Ballistol is the best ! ... did you get a manicure ?
you dont need to put lube on the slide before putting it back together?
It's funny at first you were getting fucked with by the phones, now it's the computer hahahahah poor Pete.
Isn’t it bad to have any spray hit the firing pin on the slide? I’m new to guns
Naa it’s fine
I've never seen that color on a can of Ballistol. Is it new or did they change their theme? Thanks.
Have you tryed Frog lube?
Oh ... they look like Erics ... :))

I have some silver streaks in my new Glock 19 barrel after firing winchester FMJ. Is this normal? It's not copper fouling. Is it just the finish wearing off???

Can design. Red is the new design, White I don't think that design is out there anymore.
Thanks for the video. Would you use Ballistol on 1911s or any other firearms like a shotgun?
Thanks! Do you have a video about what to do with a firearm you are going to store for a while?
same clean technique here for my G21 SF
I was wondering if you could do a video on some 44 magnum revolvers. I am really interested in a double action 44 magnum revolver.
wow really? lol ok that will be your little secret
Lol damn you edited that out quick when you droped that round lol.
Hey Pete hows it going? I like how you always do request, and always keep new gun owners in mind, thats good the more people into guns the better.
