@@sasha42196How can you compare your lifestyle to someone born in 17th century and has the last name “bach”?????? Focus on improving yourself whatsoever
Don't get me wrong his preludes his toccatas , fantasias are miraculous but when i listen to Bach the fugue part always shakes my soul , The greatest composer of all time ladies and gentlemen
It staggers the mind to consider the amount of music that Bach composed. How did he ever have the time to even write it out on paper, much less compose it?
@Sebu der Gamer Bach would spend more time actually writing down new music than he did composing it. Look at the amazing Ricercare a 3 from the Musical Offering. He improvised that entire piece on the spot in front of Frederick the Great.
@Sebu der Beaneater you're right, composing fugue is mindblowing hard. But we talking about master JS Bach! For this man, composing a fugue is as simple as drinking coffee.
The pedal voice at 4:06-07 is interesting. This is the only example I know of where Bach writes the pedal voice like this. So why don’t we find it otherwise? 4:06-07 is demanding to play fast with your bare toes. Well, then he also played with his heels, didn’t he? But in that case, we should have seen the same melody line in other organ works as well. Or was he still so young that he played so much slower that he could play it with his bare toes? Does anyone have a good suggestion? In later organ works, it is evident that he did not play with his heels, because otherwise he did not have to simplify the pedal voice as he does in a number of the organ works.(translate program)
That is very complicated mate , but one thing i can assure you is that Bach was so good at pedals , it's just perfectly composed especially in his fugues like BWV 537 and BWV 538 , I can't stop myself from replaying the fugue part 300 times
Taha, I am sorry afor my inadequate English. Thanks for your reply. But I don’t understand why you mention BWV 537 and 538. None of those fugues are a challenge for your feet. BWV 532 is much harder, and the pedal solo in th Toccata Bwv 564 is a real challenge.(at least in his own lifetime) The pedal soli from the Toccata BWV 540 is also a bigger challenge then 537 and 538. Remember that the pedals was horizontal back then, made it little bit harder than today when they played at the top or the bottom. And what about the fugue subject BWV 543 in the pedal? Notise that Bach had to remove one single note, else the fugue would be almost impossible to play fast. But maybe I misunderstood your points about BWV 537 and 538?
@@geiryvindeskeland7208 no it's okay mate , but i wasn't talking about the difficulty it was more about the melody like the BWV 537 the pedals in the fugue are perfectly composed and speaking about the difficulty the fist lines of the BWV 531 are so challenging as well .
"If Beethoven is a prodigy among men, Bach is a miracle of God"- Rossini.
Bach wrote this at somepoint between 1700 and 1703 so he was between the ages of 15-18... WOW!
One of his earliest organ preludes and fugues.
Let's see, what was I doing between 15-18....um, never mind.
Haha! Well I’m at the very latter end of that age range, and I spent the last three years listening to Bach... sooo.... 🤦♂️

A vibrant work full of youth Bach's courage and hope!
And he visits Buxtehude to further refine his organ skills!
Ahaha that pic
“Look MA no Hands”
Bach Awesome as he was over 300 years ago and today
why i never listen this music befooreeeeeeee
im lost in my life
2:32 look like cadenza of bwv 1050
His Ma was probably already dead by the time he wrote this piece

It's not hard, when you can write an entire prelude and fugue in a few hours. lol

He was so used to it, it just became an easy task for him whereas the average composer or ones with less experience would struggle
Splendid, once again thank you very much for your efforts!
wow that fugue is wonderful!!
2:32 cadenza of brandeburgo 5
Bravo bravo bravo bravo bravo
WUNDER !!! Tepper Michael.
ouch the speed of the pedal intro !!
oh , Michel Chapuis ... that explains it.
I find it slow
One of the very few fugues that has a Plagal Answer.

Why do we have to wait so long at the start
This prélude also starts with pedal? Also bwv 549 C minor starts
Fine performance! I think you changed one pedal note ;-)

Which organ is this?
I think it's the Schnitger in Zwolle, Holland. Almost 50 years ago I had this recording on LP released by "Das Alte Werk."
Such a pity Chapuis performed Bach without any sign of interpretation and feeling. Sounds like a pure MIDI file.
