England to Ireland to find my wife and go buy a house - (Solo Female Van Life Ireland)
It's finally happening, we are buying our remote cottage in Ireland! It feels like we've been waiting ages to start our 200 year old cottage renovation, and we have, but this week we should be closing on the sale and getting the keys to our very own little haven in the countryside.
In preparation, one of us had to go back to the UK, leaving the other one alone in Ireland for a bit of good old solo female van life, and the other, with an epic journey to traverse the whole of Great Britain alone! 😂
We can't wait to get started on our abandoned house, and we can't wait to share it with you, so fingers crossed it all goes through and our very next video should finally be our house tour!!

When we bought this house in 2019 it was so hard to pay cash. I might have already said, the hoops we had to jump through like prove we had the cash and prove is wasn't ill gotten gains, plus my wife was part way through a critical treatment for eyesight so we couldn't move until the course was over so we had to pay a two homes charge. I can sympathise with you working through the paper works inch by inch. But it make the day keys are collected more special than ever. So excited for you both.
And it only took 6 months to settle everything...Congratulations on your new cottage ❤❤❤❤

I cant believe the time it takes to sell and buy a house over there. I bought my hose 1 1/2 years ago, in september, and i got the keys 1 month later. I could have got them that day, but i "had to" pay one month of rental in my old home, and that gave me time to pack and get everything ready. That is in ol Sweden. I love the excitement and finally it is happening for you, and i can't wait to see what you bought. The excitement is KILLING me hahaha! Congratulations to the new phase in your life, i feel blessed to be a part of your journey. You go girls!

Sales in Ireland usually close more quickly. Delays are often caused by survey and planning issues, or title imperfections that must be remedied, as can be the case in any jurisdiction.

On the subject of PJs, over here in the US, people wear them everywhere. Sometimes they even wear their house slippers with the PJs. It's kind of ridiculous and yet, there it is.
The house buying and selling process over there is unbelievable! I feel very sad for all of you that have to go through that.
I have friends here that found the house they wanted, had inspections done, made offer, got counter offer, accepted and today closed the deal, all in One Month since they too are paying cash. They should get the keys tomorrow!

Brilliant news and great video as usual! Some tips Louise: buy pajamas trousers that don't look like pajamas...plain ones usually work! And for cleaning the oven, put a pan of hot water in it and turn on to a low temp for about an hour making sure it keeps steaming hot... The steam will mean it will soften everything stuck to it and you just wipe it down ! Fingers 🤞
