Rich is more chill in a cockpit than I am sitting poolside with a drink. I’m putting this avionics package in my RV-14, amazing capabilities.Great video!!
What most impresses me with Rich is that there are so many planes that he's very knowledgeable about and when he's flying, you can see he's unflappable. Great video.
Just learned something new after hundreds of hours in Cessna products, including the T-210. I had no idea you can open the side window while in flight (admittedly at low speed). I have opened it immediately on touch down, but not in flight on short final ... when it's blazing hot outside in El Paso, TX. As usual, great video. That panel is something to behold.
Was thinking of getting the Tecnam P2010TDI but it’s outside my budget so going for the Sling TSi with Garmin G3X Touch coupled with the 750 and the Garmin Autopilot.
Rich, quick question. Back when I was still flying a TR-182 (very retired now...), I would always raise the 10deg of flaps and gear at the same time to reduce any pitch excursion. Same is true with the 210 ?
It’s common to raise the gear with a positive rate of climb and then flaps as the airplane accelerates past Vx. I think rule of thumb and differing opinions, but I think if gear as nothing but drag, flaps provide lift and drag so wait for acceleration before retracting flaps.
Do you think that piece of glass would be good enough all by itself? Or would you also want a iPad on the other side of the dash with four flight running?
Just a question. Do you prefer single-engine piston aircraft, or do you prefer twin-engine turbos such as a King Air, or a Cessna 402? It would seem that anyone who flies a lot would have a favorite aircraft or preference.
I was just up close with one the other day - did not fly it, but seems like a very solid airplane. My brother bought an RV 8. I flew it to Kansas for him and was really impressed. Vans has a very good reputation and I think the most produced kit aircraft so don’t think you could go wrong. Build quality probably varies so keep an eye on that.
@@FlyingwithRich I heard rv-10 they are fast with 260 hp. I also heard they are conservative with overall cost. I would love a review video if you come across one. I know they generally run $250k - 350 k. I seen one in Vegas for $273k that was very nicely equipped with cashmere leather and nice avionics. 4 seater is pretty cool to me

Thank you - my brother just bought an RV8. Got to deliver it to him. Great airplane. His doesn’t have Garmin but what a combination for you!

Agree. Rich is just so ninja!
I just bought this plane and found this video. I am the new proud owner and absolutely loving it!!
Great airplane! Enjoy!
Sweet 210 Rich! You have all the fun! Thanks for putting these videos out there.
Thank you!
Thats a beautiful set up in the 210 Rich! Even more shocked it already sold before you put up an ad! Again beautiful airplane!
Love to watch these videos, I did most of my time building towards my CPL in the area you fly, I miss it a lot. Cheers from Italy!
Cheers - thanks for watching!

You can fly with the windows open on this plane up to the top of the yellow arc.
I had a look at a Tecnam P008 with twin G3X screens, quite a nice set up. Thanks Rich

Another great one!
Thank you.
Good to see plenty keepin the blue side up, can't sell a secret wheels up with more OCR inventory thanks Rich

Thanks For watching!
Beautiful aircraft...
G3X = A+
Lovely 210. Greetings from Jamaica.
Thanks for the message!
Great aeroplane perfect cockpit.
I made 1 landing at Catalina Is. It says EXPERIENCED PILOTS ONLY. I found out how true that was.
Was thinking of getting the Tecnam P2010TDI but it’s outside my budget so going for the Sling TSi with Garmin G3X Touch coupled with the 750 and the Garmin Autopilot.
Awesome!
Nice 210..!
Nice ride!!!
Very nice!
Just curious, what kind of price would a 210 upgraded like this one cost?
That one sold for $380K.
👍👍👍👍👍
Rich, quick question. Back when I was still flying a TR-182 (very retired now...), I would always raise the 10deg of flaps and gear at the same time to reduce any pitch excursion. Same is true with the 210 ?
Bump, good question, just bumping so this way I see the answer later
Correct. If you place the gear down and the flaps 10deg the pitch is balanced.
It’s common to raise the gear with a positive rate of climb and then flaps as the airplane accelerates past Vx. I think rule of thumb and differing opinions, but I think if gear as nothing but drag, flaps provide lift and drag so wait for acceleration before retracting flaps.
The POH states gear goes up immediately, but 10 degree flaps do not go up until 85 kts.
Do you think that piece of glass would be good enough all by itself? Or would you also want a iPad on the other side of the dash with four flight running?
Don’t necessarily need one but I think you would be wise to have one for charts, etc. - so much room too have one easily mounted. Thanks for watching!
That is a great plane and with those avionics whatelse would a person want.
Just a question. Do you prefer single-engine piston aircraft, or do you prefer twin-engine turbos such as a King Air, or a Cessna 402? It would seem that anyone who flies a lot would have a favorite aircraft or preference.
Really depends on the use of the aircraft. All of them have pros and cons so difficult to say one particular is my favorite.
I love the Dynon Avionics
Who did the Garmin upgrade, and about how much did that upgrade cost????
I’m not sure who did the upgrade. I estimate $50 - $60K.
I want to test flight for you Rich on one
Will you do a video with a P210 if you get one in?
Would love too - haven’t seen any lately. Thanks for watching!
it dosent get any better than,Rich.......
What are your thoughts on Van RV-10?
