Training More Country Doctors

  • The UC Davis School of Medicine recently launched a program called Rural-PRIME to train medical students for a career in rural primary-care medicine. Programs in Medical Education is designed to produce hundreds of physicians who will help fill this state's need. UC Davis is one of seven campuses involved in the University of California program.

    10% of doctors serving 19.3% of the population. Severely understaffed compared to city doctors.
