Sifu Gary McKenzie was in my class at school, he is the most beautiful and gentlest of beings inside, he often defended myself and others from school bully’s , at school he was already a black belt, always in Kung fu shoes and shirt he held classes during lunch break.
I’d love to see him again for a reunion.
A great teacher and student of Wing Chun is Gary , dedicated and devoted to his chosen art form.

    • @davidwilliams4837
      @davidwilliams4837 Před 5 lety +5

You sink into the ground and the force given you "redirect" and send "down" into the ground. It's possible by ensuring the elbow is aligned to the shoulder, the shoulder is not "extended": it "hangs" and is seated. This connects your structure to your hips down to the ground. The more force, the more firmly rooted you are to the ground.
It is like a wedge beneath a door. Wing Chun "wedges". They do not move backward. A wedge takes on the weight of the opponent and adds mass to itself. It's a strange concept but works quite well. When done with the proper intention a Wing Chun user can simply move forward and the opponent cannot resist the movement.

The position of yi ji kim yeung ma (LO-MA), in this case you are using it improperly ... This neutral position, serves to develop all the existing movements in the principles of sil lim tao, such as central line, fixed elbow , simultaneity 'defense and attack, then the leg techniques such as tan gerg in balance and the development of kicks from this position .... So it will be' useless to be pushed while you stay on the neutral position, where to resist the thrust without ending on the ground, you will have to apply a lot of force in the elbows and in the lower part; on the other hand, one must be relaxed, freeing oneself of one's own strength ... In this way, wrong ideas and principles are transmitted on the real purpose to which LOMA's position is needed ......

when he was sparing with that dude doing the kicking his wing chung did not look the good. Not saying he is not good i am just saying in general wing chung still does not look that effective in street fight application. I think it is a good supplement art that would go good with some kind of grappling. Hands down most wing chung people would get destroyed by any kind of grappling art weather it be wrestling or Jiu Jitsu. It has been proven time and time again.

How can an intelligent man be brainwashed by religion? It always astounds me."Religion is the only area of our discourse in which people are systematically protected from the demand to give evidence in defense of their strongly held beliefs. And yet, these beliefs often determine what they live for, what they will die for, and-all too often-what they will kill for." `Sam Harris

You got some reading to do my friend, war monger and pedophile and things they say in order to discredit the Prophet Muhammad SAWS. And just to let you know, every Muslim looks up too and follows in the footstep of the Prophet. Learn about him and don't just repeat ignorant speeches from ignorant people.

    • @padmad3k63
      @padmad3k63 Před 5 lety

@@alif7658 Back in those days the average lifespan was like 30 years. A 15 year old guy or girl was very mature unlike these kids of nowadays who can't do anything without mommy and daddy holding their hands.
Prophet Muhammad had a great diet which is now being used by all these so called athletes, eating dates, nuts, green vegetables etc. We muslims knew about this 1400 years ago, and till now you're discovering the benefits of it. He even encouraged people to start doing sports, he was into archery, weight lifting and wrestling.
Muslims have invented a lot. The camera, surgery, surgical instruments, university with grading system, algorithms, toothbrush (was actually invented by prophet Muhammad SWS), soap, clock, flying machine, free health care, modern hospitals, algebra and math. ALL invented by MUSLIMS. Even the Geneva Conventions is based on the Islamic rules of war which was made famous to the Europeans by Ayubi Sallahedinne. In Islam you're not even allowed to tie up a prisoner or torture him. All the whites did was steal everything from others. The gas in the light bulb was invented by a black guy in the US, but he never got his credit because in those times blacks couldn't get stuff patented .. (the land of the free). When could women vote in the West? Till the 60ties. In Islam women could vote 1400 years ago. Yet Islam oppresses women according to people like you.
We're more Christian than any Christian, we follow Jesus more than any other Christian. Jesus (Prophet Isa) didn't eat pork like we do, prayed a lot just like we do, did a lot of dikr like we do, they had circumcision like we do (men only), the women in his time had to cover themselves like our women do (don't confuse this with the nikaab). He worshiped God, the same God as we worship. Yet these fake Christians say how fake Islam is while they changed everything they didn't like about Christianity.
You call our prophet a war mongered, why does South America, Central America speak Spanish and not Arabic? What happened to the Native Indians in North America? Australia, same story. Why do people in black Africa speak English or French and not Arabic? Man, if we Muslims wanted we could have conquered the entire world YEARS ago. Look who's responsible for all the wars now, US and Israel. ISIS and all those radical groups are all made by the US and Israel. Yet you call Islam dangerous, man you just made a fool of yourself.
      - White men killed 114 000 000 Native Indians in North America after which they stole their land and raped them. I believe Roosenvelt had wrote a law according to which all the land of the Natives belonged to the US. I'm sure it wasn't the Muslims who did that.
      - White men killed nearly 80 000 000 Natives in South America and stole all their gold. It wasn't Islam.
      - WW2 80 000 000 people died in that war, Islam had nothing to do with it.
      - Belgium had killed nearly 18 000 000 Africans in Congo which is a holocaust. It wasn't the Muslims who did that.
      - The US has been into 200+ wars since its existence. So who's a warmonger?
Really dude, you know NOTHING about Islam at all. Back in the days of the crusaders, the White Christians used to KILL the Arab Christians. The Arab Christians used to join the Islamic Army to fight against the White Christians. So tell me, how is Islam dangerous while we protected the poor ones? Muslims did trade with the Chinese centuries ago, yet there was always peace between the Muslims and the Chinese. And what did the Whites do? SO called Christians, they tried to conquer China, go read about the Boxer Rebellion. There where in fact many Chinese Muslims who fought against the White invaders. Yet according to you prophet Muhammad is a war monger and Islam is dangerous. Man, stop making a fool of yourself don't talk about things you don't know anything about.
He doesn't reply because he has nothing to say, he knows he's wrong. Thats a typical Shaytan in a human form. Oh well, hell has room for all. And yet they will say that they don't have the right to enter it and it's not fair. Oh you will see what you're denying now, and you will believe in what we believe but at that moment it's too late when the angel of death grabs you by the toe.

100% islam DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO LEARN CHINESE martial arts. It's Kafir's martial arts. Anything Kafir is NON HALAL and its HARAM. But it is good that he is not 100% muslim... has space to interact with non muslim and even let them touch him. Why don't just leave islam and don't let it limits you! A true master of Wing Chun will never let any doctrine like islam to limit himself.

      You misunderstood islam
      The religion
Islam tells you about how to live your life in a cultured and civilized way
It does not forbid or limit anyone regarding any kind of job hobby profession or art
The only thing which is haram is called which contradicts with the islamic law
No kind of chinese art or any other art is haram
And you don't mistook the meaning of any kafir
      Kafir means disbeliever
      And according to islamic law
We have not to keep aloof of or hate or abominate any person who don't believe in islam
We have to tell the right teachings to the person who don't believe with love
In spite if he will not agree
      Leave him
We are not taught by islam to hate any kaafir
      And let me tell you,
Those people who misinterpret the verse of Quran telling to kill kaafir ,
Those people alterate the real meaning and devise fake one
Those verses was applicable to only to the battle field at the time of prophet Muhammad peace be upon him
Those verses was revealed in the battle field at the moment of colliding
And you must think, from whom the prophet was raising war
