    worked well - i didnt have to take off the wheel arches completely as those clips suck, but it worked - i also realized after forcing the bumper completely off that there are 4 more tabs holding it on on the lower part of the bumper - I broke 2. Not the biggest deal, but they're there and why the bumper doesn't come off so easily towards the end of this video at 17:49

      Yes some of the clips will break and once all of the clips and screws are removed you have to pull it off

    What brought me to this page was looking for the weird reason that any vehicle has the turn signals way down there. With that and the itty bitty brake lights on a lot of Mazda, Toyota and Lexus vehicles it feels like there is some weird trend towards brake lights that you would think are not immediately noticeable. The one notable difference is that Mazda and Toyota (sometimes Lexus) seem to make those itty bitty things annoyingly bright rather than just having a more even light distribution. Just look at some Rav 4s and you will see it. They have brake lights that look normal until they illuminate and you see two nonsensical bright dots.. One night I was in traffic and a BMW M50 ahead of me in the next lane looked so much better with its even lighting. It was so uniform that you would think there was a fluorescent tube in there if you didn't know better but really it is just better tail light design. It is not just about having a good looking vehicle but safety. Why those tiny Mazda and Toyota lights have not been banned in the USA is a mystery! I would have made it so that if a shipment of vehicles came over like that from any place they would have to be sent back or corrected *ON THE SPOT* or there would be fines that would fully wipe out any profit on each vehicle! Are those idiotic designs normal in Korea or Japan? Or did they just get tired of selling us a vehicle with a sensible design? Maybe they realized their vehicles weren't ugly any more and felt that they needed to make them ugly again!

    Hi boss thanks for the video someone backed into me today and hit my bottom area with the bottom signal lights I was wondering if I had to starte unclipping from the top tail lights area to get the bottom out or I can just unclip the bottom…thank you

      In order to swap out the bottom half you have to take the hole bumper off because it’s screws that’s holding the two piece together

    Great video. Thanks for making this. I was able to easily remove tail light because of this video.
    I’m working a project and I need access to turn signal wire at tail light. I see couple of wires going down from tail light housing. I believe they are for turn signal and reverse lights. Now, I don’t want to cut the wires. I see a plug little down the taillight housing and I can barely touch it if I put my hand down.
    Wondering if there is a way to access that plug or is it possible to remove just the panel covering it without removing entire bumper. Thanks!

    • @BumperdoorDIY
      @BumperdoorDIY  Před 6 měsíci

      It dispense if the wire is running down on the outside yes you have to take the bumper off or just partially move the bumper or if the wire is running down on the inside just move the trim panels from out the way

      Wow! Thanks for the reply. At 13:10 you showed how to remove an electrical plug. Is that the only plug you had to remove for the entire bumper?

    I saw that you removed the interior plastic on the lift gate, what tool did you use to take that off? I have a hole in mine and want to replace it.
