I'm a young person, and I'm just confused overall and have no comment on the situation. One thing is for sure, though: occupying buildings and clashing with others is too far and should not be considered a protest.

I think the protest went too far and what was supposed to be a good cause, didn’t come with a message well articulated. To see my school and buildings that I put in work studying and getting degrees at being destroyed breaks my heart.

I love it when Adams gets it exactly right like he did here. Sometimes he's a political mouthpiece but this time - he is right on the money.

What happen to the peaceful and nonviolent protest that Mahatma Gandhi did that brought down the British rule of India. A guilt and shameful Hindu came up to Mahatma Gandhi and said in the religious war his family, his wife, daughter, and son, were massacred by the Muslims. He then massacred a Muslim family and felt deeply remorseful for what he had done. Mahatma Gandhi told the Hindu to find an orphan Muslim brother and sister whose parents were killed by Hindus and raises them as his family, but he must raise them in the Muslim faith.

Eric accused the Hamilton Hall occupiers of being "co-opted." Who co-opted the encampment protesters spurred to action right after Minouche Shafik's testimony at the Congressional hearing? Do Palestinian Americans need "co-opting" from "outside agitators" to feel for their brethren and sisters in Gaza? Are they incapable of reacting based on their emotions for loved ones in danger like any human being would?

Gawd.... ironically enough, he sounds so much like a southern mayor during the 1960s civil rights protests. Someone get this guy an American History book (I would say also get one for every Republican governor and member of Congress, but they hate history almost as much as they do science, math, and honest, well-run elections).

*Eric Adams* said, "The NYPD's precision policing ensured that the operation was organized, *calm* and that there were *no injuries* or *violent clashes.* [...] We will continue to use this level of professionalism." He sought to authenticate this statement as follows:
_To be clear, this is not our analysis of what took place last night (April 30th)-national independent journalists acknowledged what the police department did yesterday, and they were on the ground to see it._
Guess who else was on the "ground to see it"? Protesters videotaped the incident, and their cameras *tell a different story* from Eric Adams'. Check the following video link courtesy of Al Jazeera:

How about protecting the students from NYPD violence, and protecting their 1st amendment rights to protest? The government is wrong here. Were the students wrong on Vietnam? No. Were they wrong on South Africa? No. Were they wrong on Iraq? No. They won’t be wrong on Palestine, either. FREE PALESTINE.
