1:52 there is this CZcamsr a homesteader I don't remember his name he's got a little dog called minion anyway 700 people watched a live stream on his channel of paint dying
I just wish my boss would buy me a bridge Puller
love the tutorials , Thank You and Many blessings... SMR
I like Colten’s seriousness about learning as much as he can. Much respect for teaching him.
It's awesome to watch a professional doing his job. And seeing you teach Colton and Hillbilly your trade is really cool.
Agreed!
Those spot welding dent lifting tools are really cool.
It's amazing how much time you spend on a couple of small dents, but that's what makes you the master body man.
“All Snake” 😂
25 years in the body repair industry here, good to know I’m not the only one who feels that way…👍
My friend ran a good sized body shop in Illinois in the 90's. He got so tired of all states tactics, especially thier refusal to pay for factory sheetmetal, that he would call the agent on speaker phone with their mutual customer listening.
If you want to be upset, look up blackstone, who owns all state.
You can read about their stock market, real estate, government and more manipulations.
Just some poor little rich kids needing some more money.
Love the independent perspective which the boss lady gives, seems she has a good overview of the forgotten projects… Remember the Laymo Robby !!!!!! 😂
At least tarp it geez 😢
This video is the main reason I started watching your channel. I can't do any of the things you do because of health issues, but it is satisfying to watch.
You take pride in your work, and that's a rare thing today.
Yeah, it's the body work that got me watching. It _is_ very satisfying to watch. Personally, I can't do it due to lack of skill and discipline - lol.
@AFloridaSon a lack of equipment and tools, too!
Bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb😂Bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb@@AFloridaSon
I don't know why you were surprised that the dent puller short was popular. Every time you post a video of doing actual body work, your comments section light up with people like myself who express gratitude for having the content we originally subscribed way back when you were working on a maroon tractor trailer cab. We love this stuff.
That was the same video I was introduced to Robby Layton!!!! Doing the best paint and body work in the nation! Since then his focus has been more 'recovery work.' Of course, I don't know what puts beans on Robby's table. Body and Paint or recovery....
Burn snow--------------- what a genius.
Thanks for the lesson Robbie. I've never been formally trained but I've been doing backyard body work for over forty years on my projects. I used to be real bad at it but I've gotten a lot better by talking to professionals, buying better tools like a stud puller and attending CZcams University. The problem now is, at my age, I don't want to do that crap anymore. It's tedious, filthy and my back doesn't like it either!
I'm not surprised that a dent repair video was your highest performing so far. The dent repair videos are easily *my* favorites.
Amazing to see the amount off labour involved with these projects, Robbie, you seem to have a very high integrity level with your work standards, your a man following my own soul’s beliefs, hope life rewards you in similar justice
If u want to be taken serious in any trade the work has to be at a serious level the trades r a timed commodity the more work u can get done in a day the more that is made and I'm sure robby and his team do great work just like we should all try and do
As a young SPC in Army I had a old SGt showing me how to do body repair on a damaged Humvee hood the corner was smashed. The Army's fix was if damaged enough just replace it if not there was fuel tank repair kits and sand paper then hit it with CARC paint. His off duty hobby was classic cars and wasn't having a crap show job of a repair on owr company commanders / 1SGT truck. I was a functional repair guy "If it works as intended it's good." I have seen how much work and time it takes to do a good or great job and the right knowledge, tools materials. Some of it I didn't have or want to buy let alone have the funds to buy.
People watched pulling a dent because this is what you know that we don’t. I can’t speak for all your audience, but goofing around without any substance isn’t going to bring me back for more. You have skills and some pretty cool equipment, share them. Show what it takes to start and run a body shop.
You have done some, your audience will grow if you do more.
You all rock!
Love learning about the actual steps! My guess is a lot of us are amateur diy’rs…I have filler and glaze in my shop for projects…don’t know enough about them!
This is what got me hooked on Layton. The body shop part. You have mad bodyshop skills.
I am in awe watching you work😂
GREAT VIDEO!! You should do a DIY video about what is needed to Paint a car/truck in your Garage. And a 2nd related video for mixing and matching paint colors in your Garage.
You should mention that sometimes in a body shop, the insurance estimate to repair a dent is 3hrs, and it takes 11
Another day, you know what time it is: Time to beg Robby to put a rollcage in whiskers!!
I for one was interested in seeing the attempt to burn snow.
Also, respect for how Robby looks out for the employees. One thing that may seem weird, but can be worth doing is saying people work with you and not for you.
Robby is a true artist, and does a fantastic job explaining.
I did think you were a little hard on Colton and Hillbilly, a couple of episodes ago, when you left them to try to sand the front of the Bombi and then came back disappointed in their results. You clearly learned of it and TOTALLY REDEEMED YOURSELF! (Insert Dumb N Dumber mini-bike scene).
Love the facial expressions when you are concentrating. A true professional who cares. 😊😊😊😊
Good Morning Robby and crew. Thanks for another great video!
nice to see how far the tech has come. i grew up in the lead era ... Thanks to the entire crew..
Dang dudes! That key bridge dent puller is next level. Memories of drilling holes and using a slide hammer to get big dents out. 😂
Progress at its finest, for the finest. Amazing work by all of you!
Try a “Surfoam” file to knock off body filler while it’s still a little green to help smooth it quicker. As soon as your fingernail will leave a line, then go at it!
🙏❤️😎🤙🛻💨
The skill and attention to detail is amazing. I wish all bodyguys did such a good job.
So satisfying to watch a master craftsman mentor others. Agree with others, this is the reason I started watching your channel. Thanks for sharing.
Love the tech talk part of the body work!
That dent puller is cool
Yay body work!! Says no mechanic ever, but I'm no mechanic so it's great. I find the paint and body work fascinating. I do love the builds and the recoveries as well. This channel has really matured into a solid production. Robbie's voiceovers for sponsors are really good too. But don't quit your day job. 😅😂
A very informative video, I can see why it costs so much to get body work done, good on you Robbie
Excellent. I love it when you are in teaching mode. You are so patient and thorough.
Just love watching you guys. ❤
About time, Robby works😅 nicely done.
3.5 actual hours on an 11 hour job WHILE teaching an apprentice is a good day.
I find those key based dent repair systems interesting to watch in use. Nicely done!
That was very satisfying. Been a while since we had a lesson.
Really enjoyed this one Robby. Going back to the roots. The exact thing that brought me to your channel. I really enjoy all that you do but this is the thing that keeps me here, along with the great people you work with and family environment. Keep up the great work my friend!!!!
Great video!! I was in the Automotive industry for almost 30 years ordering the parts on Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles for the majority of those years I think that a great bodyman or woman are like artist with some of the work they can do with bent sheetmetal. You can always tell how good they are by how much body filler they use & it's wild how precise & sensitive their feel is with things you can't see!
Thanks for these instructional videos. And i totally agree. After spending years in the collision industry I completely understand you're aways trying to remove those "good hands" from around your customer's throat.
Oh dang.. Robbie's choreographing the outro now 👍😎✊
It's so cool that Robby gives us a step-by-step procedure so we can follow that at home. In our living room. On the couch. 😁😜🤟
I'd love an episode where you tell people what insurance providers to avoid and the things they try and pull.
Robby I like how you treat your worker they got respect for you
Thank you Robby and crew for the lessons !
Cool instructions, my wife’s truck went into the shop and it took a month. Now I know why😊
I enjoy watching the demonstration videos and repairs.
That’s great seeing how you do it in your shop. How about doing one using tools we might have at home. Like a Harbor Freight stud gun and slide hammer or the glue on’s and slide hammer?
If you want to see low budget, professional autobody work, check out Lakeside Autobody. Jerry is old school and has been doing autobody work for a long time.
Great Vid !!! The true power of the internet !!!! Sharing Knowledge !!!! Thank U Robby !!!!!
I love these videos as much as the other stuff. I remember going through autobody in high school and almost took a job at a local shop but chose the Corps instead. I miss doing it but still dabble in some small painting projects for my car and truck.
Another Great Video 👍 Great content, keep up the great work!
Nice job teaching with Colton.
And now we know, have a good week and count your blessings amen.
Another awesome video and one that was very informative. Thanks for sharing!
Good video with the content people love! Keep them coming. Catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
the body work instruction is Great, you are getting famous Robby, great knowledge sharing, thanks Robby
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
You make it look easy and we know it's not 😊
Taking bed liner off is my big project. Glad to see him do that. And I have a cab dent. This was for me.
I love all your videos but particularly the body videos. I do some myself but as a hobbyist and I have learned so much from your videos. Keep em coming.
Good morning y’all ☕️🇺🇸. Good to see the Boss out in the shop 👍🏽.
Robbie & team.
Thanks for the education. You breakdown the process into logical steps, giving he confidence to do it myself.
Fine job guy's, thanks for the video.
It is so good that You explained about filling pinholes as I always had trouble with that. Good Tip!
I like these instructional videos. Thanks
Loved todays upload. Proud of you, Robby. Finishing a project in one video is a big step for you. 😊 I was kinda hard on you for dragging the bombi project out. I am realizing that there are alot of variables in getting a project done. I apologize for my previous comment lol
Interesting video . Thanks for sharing !
Good morning crew love ur content
My uncle was a body man/painter for 40 years. He appreciates and approves everything you say about bodywork. He finishes your sentences sometimes. Its uncanny.
Really nice. Does the 11 hours include final paint and delivery prep?
COOL VIDEO! GOOD WORK MAN. FROM NH
More like this please, along with description or links to things used like the Lucky blocks, degreaser, tape rolls, for the home garage worker?
The poor Laymo sitting out in the cold 😢😂😂😂
Pay attention to Robby , Colton. He will teach ,and will show you the proper and professional ways to insure you do the repairs At a professional level as they should be. I see Colton catching on quick and will be great at what ever job task placed infront of him.
Mr.Layton thanks for sharing your painting knowledge! It’s been fun to watch eeyore grow he definitely has an eye for detail! Keep at it Colton! No more naps though
🎉 Great job team 🎉
I want to see a video doing a sheet metal patch panel like a bedside repair. If it were on an 09 Chevy that would be even better.
GOOD JOB!
Great video, guys. Hate body work, but I like watching you do it!
Awesome video.. I wish you would do these more often.
Good job guys !
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Always learn something from your tutorials. Now all I need is the money to buy the cool tools.
I find it tough working with crazy shaped corners like that.
True that. Compound curves and body lines on everything these days....
Thanks for sharing!! 😊
here in my busted knuckle garage we dont have them fancy tools but its doesn't matter how you pull on the dent most important part is the tap tap. Thank you for pointing that out to everyone. I have a pic of my frame straightener / dent puller in my YT community.
Awesome video Guys
Awesome job boy's 👏
This video is great! I learned some tricks of the trade that will hopefully help me with some of the body work I need to do the my truck after two deer ran into the sidenof it.
Nice lesson!
I like this kinda work from your channel.
I've got a man crush on you 😊
But seriously, it's a pleasure to watch a professional do body work..
My uncle was a body man, and i was always amazed at seeing his handy work, he's nolonger with us, and i sure miss the hours spent in his shop..
God bless, thanks for the fun lesson
It's science Norbit!! 😂
Great video
Thanks for sharing 😀👍
I like the way you do it and hillbilly he gets things done
Great 101 instructions, now just need the years of experience behind what you make look easy!
Awesome video
