This is beyond brilliant! I'm so impressed with how you figured out how to make each of the chairs. They're so unique.
The amount of details you captured on the first chair are so impressive. I tried to guess how you did it and I was way off 😆 The fabric choices are perfect.
I love how you aged the leather chair and covered up the cut edges. The removable cushions are so clever.
Thank you so much for doing this Collab! It was such a joy.
Oh, I'm so glad you made the pillows for the leather chair crooked and slouchy. The Gryffindor Common Room is a very cozy space, so it's perfect.
Yes, TiffSniffer from Etsy made the little afghan specifically for the Fairfield in 1970s colors. Normally you'd never tell how much a gift cost, but it was only $15, including shipping from Canada. She was very responsive and mailed it to me within days of our first contact.
THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😃😃😃😃😃
Thank you my friend! I was way off on my guesses on how you made things too lol! I am so so happy you liked them😊 Wow that is such a low price for that beautifully hand crocheted piece! It will definitely be treasured in my build along with everything you made! Thanks again for doing this collab, I still cannot believe how many things you made!🤩
You’re the Queen of teeny tiny minis! Everything you made looks so cool in the 70’s house.
The fabric you used is crushed velvet. Since you kept saying "velvety fabric" it sounded like you weren't sure it's velvet. Just wanted to let you know
Thank you! It was given to me in a package of fabric so I didn't know if it qualified or not lol!
Crushed velvet was tres chic in the ‘70s. Harvest Gold was quite a popular color as well as Avacodo green
You can actually use acrylic paint diluted with fabric softener, to make paint that won't chip if the fabric moves. I have used this to paint t-shirts and it has worked wonderfully.
THIS VIDEO WAS WONDERFUL!!!! I LOVE THAT YOU SHOWED YOUR MULTIPLE VERSIONS OF YOUR CHAIR PROCESS! EXCELLENT RESULT ON BOTH! TRULY LOVED GIFTS YOU RECEIVED FOR FAIRFIELD! QUEEN CITY MINIS IS AWESOME CHANNEL! THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS! ❤ I'M SMILING SO BIG!!!❤️❤❤❤😃😃😃😃😃!
Your comment has me smiling so big Gretchen!! I am so glad you enjoyed the video and the making of the chairs❤ Shyra's hand made minis will be so incredibly treasured in the Fairfield!!
@@BentleyHouseMinis YRS EVERYTHING SHE MADE WAS AMAZING! YOU BOTH ARE AMAZING ARTISTS!!! I JUST LOVE THE COMMUNITY HERE IN THE CZcams MINIATURE WORLD! IT'S WONDERFUL 😊💖❤️💖
Shyra nailed it with those coffee tables. This entire video was fantastic. Thanks for sharing. 🫶🏼
You were the inspiration for Queen City Minis to start her own channel! The legend just grows and grows!
She told me that and I was so honored!! I am so happy that the mini community here on YT is growing!❤
❤❤❤ especially the magic carpet chair, I imagined Mrs Weasley donating her favorite chair to replace something one of her twins may have exploded lol. I love this
Oh my gosh, I love that back story lol! I could totally see that!
Wonderful collaboration between two of my favourite mini-tubers❤❤❤
Yay! Thank you!😊😊
Lovely gift exchange!
I absolutely LOVE your Hogwarts chairs. They came out looking fantastic !!!
The cloth at the chair back & arms were called "antimacassars". Used in the Victoria & Edwardian eras to prevent the then popular macassar hair oil from ruining the upholstered fabric. How clever!
Thank you Lori! And thank you for letting me know what those pieces are called. How cool!
Fantastic! All of it is ammmazing! 🫶🏻🙌🙌🙌
Thank you so much!!
Two of the most talented miniature artists ever making stuff for each other's projects-what a treat for us to witness! Love it all. And thanks to both of you for showing us all how to make better minis ourselves. Couldn't imagine how long it would've taken me to get the basics down without your help.
❤❤ Aww thank you!!😊 I really love that we can share things with each other and this miniature community! Sharing techniques and ideas helps us all in this art form and makes it way more fun in my opinion. I can't tell you how much I have learned from the comments on my videos as well!
Well said❤ I really love being able to watch Master crafters work. Even the things that don't work out teach valuable lessons.
Yes please! I like tiny chairs!
Yay! Me too lol!
That's so fun. You both did an amazing job.
😊😊 Thank you!!
It must be great inspiration when you are at a standstill to get such a large collection of minis to get you excited about the project again! You've done an amazing job, Ara. Amazing.
Definitely a huge inspiration!! Now I want to make more things to go along with them!! Thank you DMMomma!
AWESOME!!!!🤩🤩👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🥰🥰💝💝❣❣
The chairs look great. The items she sent for the Fairfield are awesome. I grew up in the 70's and the style is so perfect! Love the Lava lamp.
Thank you Pat!! The 70's style is so fun to work with and I love all of Shyra's pieces!
Just amazing! Years ago when I was a kid, a neighbor lady had a whole wall of miniatures. No houses, just furniture and accessories. Mrs. Meyer's had an amazing collection. Even a small flea circus. 😊
They are amazing! I want to be like you when I grow up! Great video, thank you for posting and doing this for Shyra! You two and Whitney LaBrie, OH! And Miss Gretchen! (I forgot them at first...) are my favorite miniaturists, by the way! 🥰❣
Thank you Nina!! lol! Shyra has been so fun to work with on this😊
@@BentleyHouseMinis Yes, she's so good, too!
I effin love tiny hairs! You’re kinda great too! Love you, Ara! Keep up the good work! You have taught he so much!
😄😄 Thank you Megan!! I am so glad you like tiny chairs so much lol! and me😊
So cute!!
Awesome video Ara! I can't wait to try making a chair or two. Shira's little things look perfect in your Fairfield house.
Wow!!! Just wow!! 😍😍😍
Amazing as always..those side tables!!!
Thank you!! I know... they are just awesome!!
CZcams recommended your channel. I don't craft minis, but thought this would be fun to watch. Fun and intriguing, you do a great job of explaining, camera work, audio...yeah I'll be back.
I love them TFS💕
Thank you! 🤗
You both are amazing!!!
Thank you ❤
Simply excellent and brilliant the attention to detail is spot on.
Thank you Cindy!! I appreciate it!
Nice a collaboration!! Both your miniatures turned out amazing!! Greetings 👋
Thank you so much 🤗
The chairs are fantastic! And if anyone questions skeletons having so many lively plants just say they are fake plants. 😅 Maybe add a layer of dust.
OMG! We had those EXACT 1970's tables in our house! I remember them distinctly!
Hoo Boy! Two of my favourite miniature craft persons collaborating.Only getting to LIVE in Queen Mary's Dolls' House could be better............nay, THIS is better. You both amaze (and amuse) me with your talents. My talents are SO limited that I am going to leave the same comment on both channels................by the way, I am blessed to have found each of your channels just as you were getting noticed/started - the down side of which is that I have seen all of your videos and have nothing to binge watch.
Thank you so much George!! I take it as a huge compliment that our collab was better than getting to live in Queen Mary's Dollhouse😮 Wow thank you!!😊
love this, love tiny chairs!!
Yay! Me too!😊
I’d like to curl up in either of those chairs with a good book but the first one has such Big Comfy Couch vibes, I love it!
Me too!! I wish I had a way to make one in real life lol! Thank you😊
Fabulous 😊
These chairs are wonderful!
Thank you Nicki!
I really enjoy the co-lab videos, thanks. It's good to work together (little less hermitized) every now and again.
I just adore the notion that your skeleton family has so much greenery in their home!! You ad Shyra are both so clever! Thanks for sharing your process!
I do too! It's not something I pictured from the beginning of the project but it's fantastic and I now want to fill the whole house with them!
Oh, they turned out so nice!!! I especially like the first one!!! All the tiny things from Queen City Minis are wonderful additions to the Fairfield!!
Thank you Joni!!😊
The chairs are such a good match for the reference photos! They are both look ready for someone to snuggle in with a good book. 🥰 Thank you for including the first tries and the things that didn't go as planned. It's good to know that these things happen and how to move forward. 🙂
I always try to include the process as much as possible😊 Especially with chairs it can be hard to nail down the right shape the first time! I am so glad you like how they came out!
Love thar miniature hobbies involve a lot of upcycling. That's so awesome. Totally reduces waste.
The chairs turned out amazing! I can’t wait to see them in Shyra’s project.
Thank you!
Poooor Mini Ara, with no Mini Stormy!
Great chairs!
Love the chairs! The leather one would look great in a library in an old house. The armchair is perfect granny chair
My two favorite miniaturists collabing on what is/will be two amazing projects. :}
❤❤ Yay! Thank you Yezzy!
You both are so amazing. Love the chairs you made
Thanks so much! 😊
Awesome chairs. Just beautiful. You are a master of mini things. So fancy and detailed. You are fantastic. 💜
Thank you Ruth!! I am so glad you liked them!
I love it. It doesn't need to be exactly as in the movie. It's Ara's version; which is awesome.
Definitely!! I keep saying that about my Beetlejuice house too lol! Thank you Suzanne❤
Had to comment again on Shyra’s contribution to the Fairfield! I subscribe to her channel too and the end tables she sent you are just like some my mom had in her den. They were made of maple and were exactly the same color. Shyra is an excellent miniaturist, just like you. I really enjoy watching you both and learn a lot💜💜💜
My grandmother had some of them too and I remember using the double shelf area as a little play house for my dolls. It's so fun what a warm memory these tables have for a lot of people! Thank you Sara😊
Those chairs look perfect.
I love how the chairs came I also watch Queen City minis channel and I love her work as well❤❤
Next time you need this texture like in the rosette you should look for fuxico. It is really easy to make and has a similar effect
Interesting! I will look it up! Thank you!
My 2 favorite channels collabing 😍🥰❤️
😊😊
They look absolutely AMAZING! Well... I might be a LITTLE biased..... haha!
😊 Lol thank you my friend!!
Everything from both of you is stunning! Thank you so much Ara and queencityminis for the tremendous inspiration and, Ara, for sharing your techniques! I will watch Queen City Minis' video tomorrow!
Lisa
Thank you Lisa! I know you'll enjoy it too!
Both of those chairs are perfect! They look so comfy😁 Everything you received for the Fairfield are adorable. Your Fairfield looks farther along than I remember🥰 Can't wait to queencityminis video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Liz!! The Fairfield progressing has kind of been sneaky behind the scenes lol!
I have mixed a little baking soda with fabric paint to take down the glossy-ness and give a little texture ❤. Love the chairs!
I absolutely adore the velvet chair! I would love to curl up in it and read a good book!!
😊 Thank you! Me too!
OMG!❤ at the end...those little plants are PERFECT!
Right?? Just amazing!
I love these. The chairs look fabulous. You make everything look so easy, hard work, but easy. Take care 😊
That old leather chair was too perfect.. it looked just like the furniture in my great grandmother's house when I was a kid.. also that scarf is so beautiful
Thank you!! I am so glad you liked it!😊
These turned out so awesome! And it sounds like Shyra @ Queen City Minis really loved them!
So adorable love it
Not only did you absolutely knock the project out of the park, but thank you for your shirt restock that gives love to us 1:6 scale miniaturists! I often feel so neglected because 1:12 scale is more popular and not too much comes in 1:6 scale. Though it sounds silly, I now feel seen.
Fantastic job on the chairs. Amazing!
Thank you Kevin!
The chairs are brilliant! Thank you for all the new ideas and techniques for making such unique pieces. This was so much fun and I just loved seeing all the miniatures Shyra sent you in The Fairfield. She rocked it totally. Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Thank you Rachael!! I was so wonderfully overwhelmed with all the pieces Shyra sent! They have definitely reignited my passion for seeing this 70's interior come together😊
These chairs are fantastic! So well made.
😊Thank you!!
You put so much work and thought into the chairs and you can really tell because they are immaculate. (I also like that you’re considering selling them as a kit since you put so much work into them and now you can share them.) I thought the first one would be too big but with mini Aira you can really see how perfect it is. I loved the little rug detail on it. I especially liked how you took care of the edges on the leather chair as well as the little nail heads all around the edge. The gifts you got fit perfectly into the 70s house. I never think of skeleton ghosts haunting a 70s era vibe lol. I loved this whole collaboration, and I know Queen City really admires you so it was surely a huge thrill and honor for her.
I thought the first chair was going to be too big too because it just kept bulking up more and more with each layer. Thankfully having a 1:12 scale figure helps so much to keep my eyes in check. It's definitely a big chunky chair but still kits in 1:12 rooms which I am so thankful for. It would have been tough to start over from scratch lol! Thank you so much, I am so glad you liked both parts of the collab 😊
I absolutely LOVE your chairs! They turned out SO cute! I love anything tiny, I don't really care what it is, as long as its tiny. Also, I have those same end tables in my bedroom right now! I use them as night stands. They are such good tables that they're still standing strong, even after all these years. 😂 Can't wait to see whats next! 😍
PS Those end tables are PERFECT in your little house!!! They look amazing in there with everything else. Nicely done! 👍✌️🌸
That was fantastic! I was mesmerized by the details that brought each piece to life. Especially the leather chair! The details kind of took my breath away. Thanks!
Wow thank you so much! I really want to make a few more worn leather chairs in the future, it was really fun to age!
I just love the mini-you! She's so adorable ❤
If you want pillows to look more natural, you should try stuffing them with rice or sand. If the rice feels too chunky, just blitz them in a blender, so they get smaller.
These chairs are ADORABLE! ❤ You inspire me
Thanks so much 😊 I am so glad you like them!!
Your welcome! 😊 You're very talented!
What you call “The fringe” is actually called the selvage edge on fabric. These are absolutely adorable. They make me want to climb in an read a book.
Gawd, I love the Bentley violin intro - short and sweet. ❤💯
Always so inspiring. After I watch your videos I'm always itching to get making something. Thank you, Ara! The chairs are great, and the Fairfield is coming alive...except for the residents, of course...
Haha thank you!! That is the goal of my videos so it makes me very happy to hear it encouraged you to get creative too!
I would definitely love to see kits of these when you have time
Yay I am glad to hear that! I hope to get some more time to work on kits soon!
Very pro!!!❤
I like chairs,i like mini chairs,i like your chairs and i like Harry Potter 🤣🤣🤣 Although i´m a Ravenclaw the Gryffindor common room it´s special because so many things happened there through the books and movies, well done Ara!!! 💙💙💙
I am a Ravenclaw too ;) It would have been funny to sneak a little Ravenclaw reference into the chairs somewhere lol! Thank you!
I love what Shyra made for you. I don’t know how she works on something that’s so small. Crazy. I have been watching her channel since you first mentioned her on your channel, probably about a year or two ago. You both are very talented. I love that you collaborate with other miniaturists. Fantastic job ladies.🤗🤗
OMG! Those half scales items are so stinkin cute! You and Shyra are a couple of my go-to’s for inspiration! Her stuff looks perfect in the Fairfield. And those chairs! Magnificent! They looks SO good! ❤ I LOVED this collab!
They do look so perfect in there! Thank you so much Barb!
The plants and the macrame, lava lamp? How exceptionally perfect! Do you have a tutorial on the barrel dinign set? I am going to make one of those for sure!
Waow, this is such a great collaboration, thank you for sharing your work, and to Queen minis !
Love you both! Fantastic artists. I love all the items you two made for each other.
Thank you so much!😊
You are anamazing artist !!! 🎉🎉🎉
Incredible work as always! I always learn something new from you and you videos are a joy to watch! Thank you for another great one!
😊 Thank you Risa!!
So excited for this collab! I really like both of your channels.
Yay! Thank you!
I got my t-shirt yesterday for my birthday! 😁🥰❤️
Yay!! Happy Birthday!!🥳❤
Wow, another stunning result !!! 🙂
But I had to skip the aging process...I really hate when perfect things get grunged down...
Amazing job. It looks complcated but you did such a great job [as always]. I think I wouldn't be able to create so beautiful chair 😊
Thank you! They were both definitely a challenge but it was fun to try and figure them out!
@@BentleyHouseMinis New things can be scary and frustrating sometimes BUT to be honest, I always like to try new things as it comes to crafting [not that much as it comes to technology haha] 😅. Final effect is fantastic, so it was definitely worth to try, also - if you'll ever create more chairs in this style, you'll know 'how' and it'll go way faster, without trying 😁
We had those end tables!!! So great. Love the way you made the chairs!
I am over the moon about the end tables too! Thank you Pat!
The chairs came out amazing and I learned so much from your techniques. ❤❤ I’m going to go watch Queencityminis right now.
Thank you! I know you will enjoy her video too! She made so many amazing things!
Tiny worlds of wonder! So fascinating.
I have no use for a small arm chair, but after watching this video, I really want to make one😂❤
I enjoy the collabs you do. It’s always nice to see your style added to a different build.
Thank you so much! It's always fun to try to make something new I wouldn't normally be making!
@queencityminis 😮❤ love your work for this. Omg!!!!
I really like the first chair..
Shyra…head blown!!! 😊
I love this so much!!!! 😍 lets ALL collab!
I was a child in the 70's, and we had those exact end tables on either side of our sofa, lol. 😂
