- This has been one of my favorite Chopin Waltzes ever since I watched the 2007 movie "Secret" starring Jay Chou.

The movie version is a bit different arrangement than the original. This is the original version as was composed by Frédéric Chopin in 1847.

For people wondering how fast the speed of the chorus should be played, slow the vid down to 0.75x and that’s the true speed of the chorus.
What a wonderful piece.
To me this is the most beautiful piece in classical music expect that everyone plays the chorus to fast
Try Rubinstein's version. In my opinion, if you want to listen to Chopin, Rubinstein is the best there is.
You play the chorus six times so you should variate in tempo. Listen to a few pianists and you hear they play it different each time. I love this chorus because it sound very nice played fast as well as slower
@@TheBobiaan Is this the chorus? 0:54
@@Murcielag0scuro Yes, czcams.com/video/hOcryGEw1NY/video.html you can hear the variation of pace and accents clearly
@@TheBobiaan Just recently finished learning the piece. Thanks for your advice.
"too fast" "no feeling" well strike me dead, but I thought this was absolutely lovely.
I love this Waltz ❤️
0:55 sounds better at 0.75x speed
I agree
1:17 mi parte favorita, pedazo de genio... no habrá otro como Chopin
Ok
The 'piú animato (fast part)' part was too fast, it was almost twice the original speed, but it was amazingly played still, with overflowing emotions and it's one of the finest interpretation.
I think it's done by the computer
its very beautifull!!!
.75 speed is just about perfect imo
John Smith maybe but depends how you want the mood to be. If your in a dark room and your crush is sleeping then it’s okay like that.....
@@JoelElias2_1 why are you in her room while she's sleeping?
@@swip looking at this comment idk what this means. This was 3 years ago.
@@JoelElias2_1 lol fair enough.
Thank god people are saying it's too fast, with this speed I'd be focusing too much on not breaking my fourth finger
Why are playing a waltz prestissimo I'll never know
That's what I am thinking.
You could play this at the same speed with practice.
Of course, but I have to learn it quickly for a particular event
I just reduced the playback speed to 0.25
Wow what a genius masterpiece
Amazing
Beautiful pieace
Everytime I think of a motive Chopin’s already used it in some shape or form.
Dang it
I really love your videos ! Especially the care about the colors and everything, it makes me in the right mood everytime to enjoy the music !
You have something with Chopin, those days, don't you ? x) Is you favorite composer ? Well, i'm not complaining, love him too :p. But I would enjoy a bit more of Beethoven if you have some in your midi bank x). Like the Appassionata (especially the 3rd movement) or the Pathetic (1st movement), that would be sooooo great x)
Continue the good work ;)
Wow wow this song was great and great and great
0:56 was very bad, it was sped up which actually ruins the emotions of the music
Agreed, it changes the whole tone of the piece
Doge Music I disagree this is beautiful quick or slow
Marshan122 but better if slow
I actually like the quicker version but it should've started slow and then sped up
Try 0:56 at 0.5x
Got here from the movie Secret, now my fav. Chopin piece.
play it at 0.75x...
Not even. Its gotta be at 0.5x speed.
@@babyskunkcat no
The correct way is 0.25 speed but for my interpretations it's perfect with 0.75 speed
Everytime I hear this -song- piece I remember of the movie secret.
XtrAMassivE
Piece not song.
Thank you for the correction.
that piano battle is amazing...they played it slower :)
Well done
be aware of alot of wrong notes in this file
I've learned it at music school, not this fast but every notes are right one
Flumeon incorrect at 1:31 after the chord it plays a F sharp by itself which is not written in the sheet music along with many other notes through check you sheet again.
You know there are different versions, right?
Addison Cagan the f sharp is right
@@realityrupture536 buy if we're talking about the original one Chopin made, a lot of the notes are incorrect
i actually like it being really fast, it sounds so nice. it is a little abrupt how it comes in at light speed 😂😂 but it’s still really nice
Everyone’s an expert lol
It’s sounds nice lol
Awesome.
People say it's too fast. I say play it how you want. It sounds perfectly fine to me.
Playing this as my second exam piece. Wish me luck !
Ss Animics i want to learn this! :(
I love this version !!
I believe there's a minor mistake in the chorus: there's 2 times the same note when the right hand is going up (1:14 for example), so the chorus lasts a bit too much
Yes.
`Eylith. Hello, would you please elaborate a little bit more? ( As in pointing out the exact name of the wrong note and saying the correct note that should be) I know it is a bit late but it would help me a lot. :D
The A is played twice and should be played once...I think
Моя любимая и просто восхитительная музыка вот уже 7 лет, как я её впервые услышала...♥️
Too fast. Too many today use Chopin to demonstrate technique, but loose the expression.
I know right, what is romantic music without rubato.
And it has several mistakes and doesn't tell you the fingers position.
Well, it becomes more emotional for me if the parts were actually faster.. it's interpretation.
lose*
oogieobanyon I would definitely have to agree with
thanks to this channel i can finish this song
Why does everyone say it's too fast. This thing is the definition of a masterpiece. Cmon.
Speed isnt the only factor when it comes to music, you have to think about technique, expression, accuracy. The metronome, how close it is to perfection. But there is no such thing as perfection when humans play music. Dont listen to the notes being pressed listen to how it's being conveyed. Music sends a deep message.
A better explanation (I don't know what this guy ^^ is talking about) for why everyone is saying too fast is because it is. This piece was not meant to be played that fast, ruins said masterpiece.
Also, its a WALTZ. Please at least have basic knowledge.
easy.good job
Perfect for dance
Please re-upload with the correct speed for the bit at 0:56
0:11
people say it's fast but each person interprets in a way
exactly
Your interpretation should still make sense and not ignore the score. Chopin wanted it to be più mosso (more movement, quickly) but not four times the speed of the other parts.
@@dankeykang868 Actually Chopin let the people interpret the pieces has they want
@@Arias2948 nope, he fought with Liszt bc he played his pieces too fast
Ali Mouayed lol this interpretation belongs to a computer not a human
wow
Error at 1:03; the A should only be played once (instead of twice).
i found the same error so i replied but i saw your reply too. Im glad that there is someone else out there who found this error, honestly its not just this piece but many others that have little mistakes like this. This app known as "synthesia" is not very precise when it comes to the score
The „too fast” part is actually mentioned to be faster. It’s _piu mosso_ here
Not too fast
too fast
wtf is beautiful!!!!
wtf what do u mean?
+Kayato Turhan 😐 .!.
?
He meant its beautiful.. i think he didnt get its for learning
Temaso
Great playing! I just uploaded this piece too!
*CHOPİN*
It's like a lost man trying to find the way.
I'm so glad this piece is so easy.
yeah sure lmao
goodnight to everybody except people who play the main chorus in Waltz in C# minor by Chopin at a really fast speed
2:00
thebesST04- cottoi what about it
0:07~2:19
And too furious
too fast!
then change the speed
some tips for the 0:55 part? i have trouble sync my both hands but can play it perfectly with one hand on both hands or very slowly
He played it too fast watch kissins version
you get more trouble of syncing it at 1:18
Can somebody tell me all the mistakes in this piece made by PianoReader?
The main problem is the chorus, aka the part at 0:45 , it plays way too fast, ruining the whole feeling of the piece
0:55
He is "chopin" the sound to much.
PlayAMelody bla bla bla
Mi profesor de piano me dejó está melodía uyy esta muy exigente pero se va a lograr
Too fast ? No, there isnt only one way to play a piece, I'm glad I found a faster expression like this.
What instrument you choose, it doesn't sounds good as grand piano
The tempo changes are a bit too dramatically abrupt and the mordents and appoggiaturas are a bit wonky, but this was decent.
ooooooooooooo
0:15
I have a question, is this piece difficult to play ? I can pieces like Fur Elise and I don't if this one is too hard for me.
u can learn first 30 seconds in 1 hour easily, then it's hard part mb 3-4 hours of learning and memorizing then easy to learn 30 min then repeat. Then practice. I learnt it in 2 days ≈2 hours on each day ( i am not pro i started to practice after i played fur elise and nocturne no 20)
The 2nd A4 in beat 30 is wrong. Its 19 notes from A3 onwards not 20. It even sounds wrong in the end since this note does not belong there.
If you play it at 0.75 it sounds better
w
It is played slower in the real version
imagine people dancing this
Totally wrecked the second half. Listen to Rafał Blechacz play it!
It's fast but it's better this way!
too fast! It's a waltz!
Do you think this is too much fast? Hear the "Minute Waltz"
Or I think it's too much fast to THIS waltz
its actually a Valts which is a fast waltz
it is valse not valts
chopin didnt intend for his waltzes to he danced to i believe
This is not an English waltz, this is the correct tempo. (Mind you the tempo changes are revoltingly inaccurate, it's still the right tempo.)
The connection between different melody isn't really well, yup you can feel it
On some electronic files they play with soul... not this one
it is left wrong 0:28 there is a c major error ... it should be c # ??...
christabel.o. j no that parts correct, though i believe its written as a b#
Tempo 0.75 at the fast part is better
put it on .75,feels better
This tune made me sad 😢
hi I am 2 years old and I can play this
were is emotion?
Flaviu Ciataras it's a computer playing lmao there is no emotion
Wrong note at 0:23
The piu mosso part sounds like Chopin on steroids
i reecomend you to do it more slowly because is a walts
:)
this is the very first piece I learned. I couldn't get the pase of the chorus, or so i thought. Now that I've read the comments, i now see that the chorus was too fast. And thus I learned that I am on the right pase.
I am speed
Algún ser humano que pueda aprender esto por CZcams???? Es casi imposible por suerte yo solo leer la partitura ya :)
Leeo la partitura******
evgeny kissin plays this piece as if it was 0.5 speed.
Alright! Taken me a couple months, but i fiiinaly learned everything up to 1:16.
No way i could've ever played it at full speed without the help of this video also:
czcams.com/video/iF4FpVyXuNE/video.html
Why on earth does it hit warp speed like that? It's so separated from the rest of the piece. It was distracting and disorienting.
Paul Estrada it is piu mosso. But still way to fast
error at 1:15. According to the score it's supposed to be one A. But the RH played A twice
Maybe a lil bit of rubato....
*Chopin Waltz? Too easy.*
fast. but not bad
1:09 second bass g-sharp should be octave lower. just sayin, nice video otherwise, its really pleasure to watch it (and listen ofc :)
Too fast,it's a waltz!
A little bit too fast going into 0:55. Going on from there, its too fast.
Not fast enough
Just listen to it with a speed of 0.75x, then it really does sound like a waltz
0:54 is too fast. This should be slower!
the chorus is too fast u need to be a little bit slow for that because the fast doesnt fit the song too much.
wayyyyyyyy too slow for me :(((
