Very nice job! Interestingly, Dio and great Rainbow drummer Cozy Powell both ended up in Black Sabbath where they did great things. Like 99% of songs, this is not an allegory or metaphor. They followed this wizard and built him a tower from which he was supposed to fly, but instead he fell and was killed. The moral of the story here is that they followed a false prophet/wizard, and the singer wasted 9 years of his life, and many other dies to build this tower for something that was false.

Nice reaction, the band is awesome and the guitar solo was sick . I guess the peoples misery ended as they witness the wizard's demise.

Stargazer is an Epic Masterpiece. Rainbow remands one of my favorite bands of all time. Check out their live work, the 1977 Munich concerts has great songs to check out. "Mistreated" and "Catch the Rainbow" are fantastic. Some good songs from "Elf" - "Nevermore", "Wonder World" and "Streetwalker" are worth a look.

Actually I did get to hear him once. He was with Black Sabbath and they were touring with Blue Oyster Cult. Ifn you like dark themes and scifi/fantasy motifs, Sabbath and BOC are groups you should love
