- What I ate today (high protein, over 100g protein)
another easy and healthy what I eat in a day! focusing on nourishing myself and FEELING AMAZING, not necessarily on losing weight or weight loss. I've been trying to increase the amount of protein I eat per meal to 30g, which means over 100 grams of protein per day! here's how I did that on this day :)

Love how you point out all of the fats that you’re eating. They’re so important for our health!
almost nothing about this is nourishing it’s almost all animal protein and fat… where’s the other parts of the food pyramid?
Fats are very important for your nutrition, but you should differentiate between saturated and unsaturated fats, so maybe go more with native oils and reduce butter and cream 👍
nah all fats r good besides seed oils@@ItsEpicRail
True but if your tryna lose weight fatty foods are too stay mostly away from especially nuts and nut products.
Moral of the story look at the nutrition labels and see if it fits your macros simple math won't kill you it will make you live longer happy calorie counting.
I appreciate that you didn’t just throw protein powder in all your meals - more of these please!!!
protein powder in greek yoghurt tastes like dessert tho and its so convenient. a life saver for college students with negative 10 minutes to cook every day
I definitely agree with you, protein powder has its place but people just dump it on top of everything to get their protein for the day 😅 like you can actually eat protein without having powder on everything guys...
You would appreciate this out of all people: SOUR CREAM in scrambled eggs. Just a tbsp for about 2/3 eggs
Do you cook it? Like together or
@@Fatima.ameen3 yea! right when you drop the eggs in the pan add some sour cream and mix it in so it melts into the eggs doesn’t have to be like completely mixed in just enough, and then cook the eggs like normal salt pepper
I always put a dollop on my eggs. Add salsa too and/or avocado. Its delicious.
A bigger hack is using high protein Greek yogurt instead
@SpiteHookso what
It's refreshing to see a young woman with a normal, healthy appetite. You are beautiful & enjoying life. That fresh & homemade food looks wonderful!
That is actually a meal in the north of Iran. We fry the cheese with oil, turmeric, and lots of dill. Then we add eggs and mix everything together
Wow, you look gorgeous! You are absolutely glowing!!
Awww you’re so sweet!!
Try blending the cottage cheese until smooth. Mix about 1/2 cup with 1 tbs basil pesto and use it as the filling for a three-egg omelette. It comes out to about 30g of protein and 400kcal (depending on egg size and brand of cottage cheese). It is SUPER GOOD!
I started doing the exact thing a week ago... 100g of protein a day has helped so much with unneeded cravings. I plan to do this for a while
God bless you❤
Same; I feel great, and my effort at the gym has become so much more noticable!
I love that you counted protein not cals in this! ❤
Listen we gonna need that shepard's pie recipe
High protein low carb diet definitely works. We've changed our diet and are 10-15 lbs lighter without changing activity level. No cravings....feeling much better. Carbs are definitely the culprit for many folks.
EVEN BETTER IS ADDING FETA CHEESE INSTEAD. My grandma made it for me anytime of the day!! It was our fav thing to make together! Now it’s my daughter’s fav breakfast. A MUST TRY. Don’t salt it tho!!
The eggs are better if you blend them up. You can also make Starbucks egg bit dupes by doing cottage cheese, eggs, toppings of your choice and baking them in the oven over a dish of water until it sets. To die for!
When you say "blend", you mean like, in a blender like you do when making smoothies? Wouldn't that turn it into a méringue? (like, from the speed of it)
@@adamel-nagar8258 Yes, blend as in a blender. I have an emulsion blender which is like the handheld version and no, meringue is just egg whites and like cream of tartar or something, not sure off the top of my head. It turns into a CUSTARD and it is delicious.
@@hushpuppy698 Ahh interesting. Will definitely give this a try! Sounds like the consistency would be a lot smoother your way
@@adamel-nagar8258 You really should! blend them with the cottage cheese, add along with toppings in a muffin tin and bake on a cookie sheet filled with hot water @ 350 for 15ish minutes or until it sets. So good!
@@hushpuppy698 you're a legend, thanks for the tip! I'm not crazy about eggs (even tho I know how good they are for you) so I'm excited to try this, hopefully it'll be my new regular breakfast!
OMG! for like three weeks the only breakfast i had was cottage cheese scramble eggs on sourdough toast with a thin piece of salmon on top and oh my god, it was heavenly! So much protien too.
Awww you and your friend are adorable, the herb garden is so pretty :)
Your friend’s garden is beautiful. And I’m craving Shepherd’s pie after seeing that delicious dinner. Yum!
I just bought cottage cheese for this purpose I can't wait to try it
it also can make a sweet breakfast/snack! cottage cheese goes great with frozen fruit + raw honey or sugar-free maple syrup
Damn I love all these simple meals! I was getting tired of seeing avocados and too much variety in some what I eat in a day... toast, eggs, chicken, cottage cheese. I love it!! So simple. ❤❤
these foods look so cozy. Can't wait for soup season.
Can I suggest cooking the scrambled eggs for longer on a very low heat. They'll be less clumpy/rubbery. Marco Pierre White will show how. I'm going to try the cottage cheese version.
Cottage cheese in eggs sounds like such a good mixup. Trying this tomorrow!
Fruits? Vegetables???
It's my favorite way to eat eggs I even add a packet of tuna. So good and high in protein.
you can blend the eggs and cottage cheese for a better texture, i blend it with cheese and put it in an instant pot to make egg bites or you can bake them
I started doing this & it’s amazing! They just taste like cheesy eggs. My husband was a hard no on anything with cottage cheese. I made him these & told him after he finished it. He really liked them & said he’d eat them again
This tip helps a lot as I am struggling to eat enough protein and cottage cheese is a staple in my fridge
Wow! A new cue about protein breakfast 🤩thanks! I just eat protein yogurt usually… it become boring…. I should absolutely try yours breakfast
Dude Shepherd's Pie is my comfort food. Best thing to ever exist.
I’m going to have to try scrambled eggs with cottage cheese. That sounds super good
love it! I need to eat more protein… I have been finding ways to put eggs in everything now that they are affordable. also I love making ground beef Philly cheese style with chopped peppers and onions then melted cheese on top. Sometime eat it on buns or bread could be topping for rice or nachos too! high protein.
I just had this thought today, will make this into a burrito.
Love these videos. So satisfying!
I know this is longer but try forming patties from egg and cottage cheese mixture. They are like protein pancakes and I love them
My grandma used to do it. Amazing
First I LOVE YOUR VIDEOSSSS❤❤❤❤
Ricotta in scrambled eggs is really good too. Do you think the cottage cheese option is safe for people who hate cottage cheese?
Try to do cottage cheese, an egg, salt, sugar and a flour, then make like a pancakes , that's very nice and filling. We grew up eating that. Like 70% cottage cheese plus other ingredients. We liked it pretty sweet. It's great for breakfast and energy. ❤
Ive been doing that for years, but use oat flour to make it gluten free because i have celiac n its one of my faves!!
@@JaneDoeowo I'm gluten free, could you pleease share the kinds of proportions and if you use anything other than oat flour ie starch? And how much sugar you use? Thanks!
Thank you for inspiring me
What a lovely video
Did it make the taste better tho? Or should i eat it separate
Sour cream also makes some delicious eggs
Cooking the cottage cheese won’t that kill the probiotics?
I will try. Don't sound bad
Thanks for sharing! I'm going to need your friend Fiona to share her Sheppards pie recipe, please and thank you.😢🙏🏽
Unless you are actively weight lifting and trying to build muscle, 100g protein is very unnecessary especially for a woman.
I personnaly love the garden
That's shepherds pie has me wanting some omg
Do it every day for life!
Never tried cottage cheese with eggs but everything looks great
My grandpa used to make that scrambled eggs for us when we were kids, scarmbled eggs and an omellete is actually the same word in my language so we called it "Grandpa's omellete". i still make it but it was so much better when grandpa made it lmao.
glad tiktok caught on
I love cottage cheese in my eggs but people judge me so bad lmao
Heck yeah super YUM!
I hate having to eat so much , I’m going to have to do this
That’s good if your not trying to lose weight and and nourishing
That's awesome 👍
Cottage cheese tastes like cheese curds because that’s literally what cottage cheese is.
Did you used to have an eating disorder? I’m just wondering cause you are embracing food so much, and it’s beautiful 😻💕
"cottage cheese in eggs tastes like melted cheese curds!!!" --- literally talking about melted cheese curds
I want little bit build musle so can I 100 gm protien? But digest system is very slow my weight is 65 hight is 5.4
We add pepper and call them sneezy eggs. Idk why. Lol
Eggs scrambled with cottage cheese has been a thing for years!
Not weird at all.
Isn't macro counting and eating whatever you want mutually exclusive?
Yes 😂
but what she wants to eat is 100g of protein so
@@helena3536 Yes, in eating whatever she wants to eat specific amount of protein. Please.
All the meals look delicious 😋 ❤
So Good!
I loved your Video. Great choices of food!
Niceeeee !!!
so I'm not a fan of shepherd's pie but if I could have that recipe I'd try it it looks so yummy
Her garden ❤❤❤
Oh my God now I am hungry
We love nourishing our bodies with food ☺️🎉
In my pregnancy I can't seem to eat fruit or vegetables unless cooked. Not even juice. I really want to have good diet but it's difficult. When you food aversions don't let you.
Ayo that's paneer egg bhurji in India we make it so often
I started eating more Cottage cheese and now making egg salad sandwiches lol
Try cottage on grilled broccoli 🥦 with onions 🧅
They are good but I like to add relish or pickle juice while I cook
Huh, I do the cottage cheese in eggs to use up the cottage cheese I bought to make fluff salad...
Do you guys get tired after meals this size?
I need that chicken soup recipe
😍
what is it with you and shepherd pie
Ive been on a high protein journey myself. Ive learned 40 t0 50 grams of protein in each meal is ideal to maximize the gains ! 😊
How do I do that? I’m 5’1 and I don’t need much food to feel full. I’m having trouble getting enough protein even though I try to eat food that are high in protein such as chicken, Turkey, beef, eggs etc. And protein shakes occasionally. I get about 80g of protein a day
@@ScrumptiousRump depending on how much u weigh. U want about a gram per lb. 8 0z of any lean beef, chicken or fish could provide 40 to 50. Maybe find dishes u really enjoy but weigh out 8 0z of meat in each dish. Try mixing it up with a protein shake with 1.5 servings of greek yogurt with some berries that could be about 40-50 grams. u can get 20 grams from 3.5 ounces of cheese. Many foods have protein !:)
@@ScrumptiousRumpLegumes are also a good source of protein :)
Cottage cheese is literally cheese curd lol
its got some cream doe
I feel like we could be best friends. That’s just my style of cooking
Just an fyi those eggs are over cooked. (The liquid on the plate is an indication)
They’re even nicer if you remove from heat at the just before fully cooked stage.
Cottage Cheese is super food, Greek Yogurt is perfect for anything and vegetables are a gift from heaven
THANK YOU. perhaps I can eat some eggs now for that zinc!
Cottage cheese isn't unhealthy, either!
Side note: My dad would literally torture me many mornings throughout my childhood by cooking us eggs and making sure I eat them without gagging.
That is way too much protein to consume in a day. Do people not realize the effects of too much is not a good thing?
Recpie for sheprd pie
You eat good👍
I thought the eggs was pasta salad. Lol. If it takes like cheese curds, im down!
200 cal of egg whites is 40g of protein compared to 3 whole eggs which is 210 cal and 18g of protein!!!
It’s the easiest way to get sick for IBS patients
What is the recipe for the shepherds pie?
Mayo or butter on the bread would make it even more bomb
Cottage cheese is literally cheese curds in whey 😅
so delicious❤
I like how the young people are starting to eat better wholesome foods, not crazy vegan plant based chic pea soy bean garbage.
Americans eating dry toast should be a war crime 😂 In the UK we always put butter on it
100g protein is so unnecessary for the average woman. it’s hard on the kidneys to filter and digest. your body can also only absorb so much and studies show that any excess has no benefit. better off focusing on health promoting foods like fruits
Going to gym they recommend eating 100g protein, to build muscles. How much is excess??
I disagree . This is not true sorry. But to each their own.
That is an ok amount depending on how active she is. The recommendation when your goal is to build muscle is 0.7-1g of protein per lb of your weight. 0.35 g of protein per lb is the recommended minimum to prevent muscle loss. I haven't been strength training lately so I aim for at least 0.35. I'm overweight, so it comes out to 68 g of protein per day.
Its .6-.8g/lb. The 1 gram is information spread from bodybuilders and untrained influencers. But even at that amount, once is unlikely to hurt themselves. @@amaragrace94
Perhaps include some more greens as well for micronutrients 🤔
Right? Long term, this will DESTROY the kidneys. Excess protein is damaging to the body.
How do those eggs taste? Because I hate cottage cheese but it's so good for you 😢
Cottage cheese slaps. Cottage cheese with pineapple slaps even more…
