A pleasure flight on Air Glacier's Alouette III shortly before its retirement after over 50 years of service. The flight took us along the famous Swiss mountain Jungfraujoch to a max altitude of 2200m across the ridge between Schwarzmönch and Jungfraujoch. This airframe was originally built as an SE-3160 in 1963, but converted to SA-316B in 1970. Thanks to Air Glaciers for this memorable flight.

Thanks for the nice video. For many years I lived in Lauterbrunnen, I remember the sound of the Alouette since they flew everey day overhead my house picking up my neighbour, Doctor Durrer.

A heli with 3-wide bench seats, the engine and gearbox are just bolted on, and no lame skids. It has a nice clean ratrod look, no extra weight of aesthetic stuff, and the full bubble-face.

Lots of time in these back in the Seismic days hauling Juggies and bags around the Overthrust belt. It was like cruising around in a 1963 VW micro-Bus....the one with the 23 windows....big big fun.
