This refugee camp in Cox's Bazar Bangladesh is a grim reality of the Rohingya situation and it truly shows how they are a forgotten people. Wow…I was once a refugee in Thailand getting away from the fall of the Vietnam war. I was 5 yrs old and remember vividly about the camp. The lifestyle in this camp is similar structure to the camp my family was in. We were barbed in and not allowed to leave the premises like this one. Luckily my family was fortunate and get to come to the USA. Now, I am teacher for 24 yrs and have been giving back to my community and volunteering to projects in my city. Best wishes and hopes to these people.

These more than one million refugees have become the biggest burdain of our country yet we must provide them as much support as we can from a humanitarian ground. Rohingya refugee issue has been raised and discussed so many times in international forum yet the westen world doesn't put much pressuse on the janta Mayanmar government, probably on of the main reasons is that these Rohingyas are muslims.

Government has recently built multi-dollar housing for rohingya’s in Bashan chor Island in coast of Bangladesh, can accommodate upto 100,000 rohingya people & has all modern amenities. The reason for this is to put much less pressure on kutubpalong refugee camp.

Those Bangladesh kids are the future leaders of Bangladesh.
Their government must provide all the needs esp proper ventilation for all those innocent and smart kids.
I got emotional, too when I witnessed the life of those families living the camp most especially that family with PWD(person with disability) members.
InshAllah their government must provide all the resources they need especially for those with special needs.

These kids are residing in Rohingya refugee camps .They are actually from Myanmar.Myanmar Govt brutally killed hundres of thousands of Rohingya people,that's why they flee to Bangladesh.Bangladesh was kind enough to extend supports to Rohingya people.

The Origins of the poor Rohingya People can be read under Maurice Collis's The Land of the Great Image in early seventeenth-century where the Portugese brought SLAVES from Bangladesh (the area that was then) for the ARAKAN KING (that time not under Burma Rule) to work in Rice Plantations. Something should be done for Rakhine people. Sheikh Hasina did not say anything even though the United States asked to include Rakhine with Bangladesh. In my opinion Rohingyas should be allowed to choose through voting. Rakhine people should do that if they express their grievances through voting. 1. Included with Bangladesh 2. Included with Myanmar 3. Rakhine is an independent country.Do you want the Rohingya people to live in peace?? What action would you take if you want? They may be poor and helpless and we should stand by them. Rakhine will be included with Bangladesh if they want.Or whatever else Rakhine state polls give a pretty good idea very soon.
