Hi Bob, first job I did on my r90s was resleeve the master cylinder (under the tank). Apparently water molecules in the brake fluid cause pitting and eventually leakage.
Good luck and I hope it all goes well. A lot of blokes down here just replace the front master cylinder, rather than overhaul it. There are Chinese made units that they get cheap. I must confess the Katana does not have its original front unit. I had a friend who was running a factory sponsored race team here in Oz years ago, and at the end of the season he gave me one of the spare units they carried. Bigger diameter cylinder and braided lines, and I can make it lift the back wheel, which is not bad for an old system on a heavy bike with a long wheel base 😅
This is proper handy, I've to do mine before summer takes off over here.

Good point, I can remember years ago resleeving old steel wheel cylinders for that very problem. Thanks for watching the video.
