This was helpful to hear. I have not sold any of my fine jewelry to date, but I would consider selling some of my sterling silver Tiffany pieces as I mainly wear my gold pieces from VCA and Cartier in place of them now. I am sorry to hear you had to deal with narcissistic family members. It is very draining.

I started to declutter my fine jewelry items since last year, is so liberating! Now, I buy with more intention or just don’t buy. I have sold my love bracelet, love interlock pendant, all Tiffany jewelry. Love it every time I see my finely curated collection of jewelry. Plus, the stacked look is more cluttered than anything, not one item stands out, just a big pile of rings, bracelets.

I have a few pieces I want to let go, and when I put them in their boxes and prepared them for sale, it already felt much better and lighter. I feel like I definitely appreciate pieces I have more this way. I don't impulse buy, but am putting much more thought into my purchases after decluttering

But I know exactly what you mean and have the same issue with the white mop piece ( that was actually my first vca piece from hubby) soo sad …. I actually took it to their flagship store, and they said they didn’t see anything wrong with it at all.. but like you said at certain angles you would see like a “smear” like not as shinny as the other area on the pendant. I was shocked at this quality issue. At the time I have worn it no more than 10 times.

Personally I loveeeeee all my guilloché pieces, earrings, necklace and bracelet but for whatever reason the ring didn’t speak to me 😉. I like big bold statement rings in fashion jewelry and in fine jewelry as well. I do like the double motif and the magic motif rings from VCA, what are your thoughts on those? Yes, I got them a lot cheaper back in the day, before many of the price increases, so I am definitely holding on to those ;) and yes, I love them haha XOXO
Totally hear you on the ring color for VCA. Van cleef gold (YG and RG) oxidize much faster than other brand in my experience. I clean my VCA jewelry so often because of that (proper cleaning, not just wiping with the jewelry cloth).
