Congrats on another great ship design! It is amazing how you are able to consistently build A class 180 speed ships with so many habs! That is a weird placement for the grav drive, I never seen any other ship designer place it up front like you have with this ship. I was wondering why you didn’t place the grav drive above the reactor? It seemed like it was placeable there? fyi there is a way to eliminate unwanted or unnecessary ladders by placing port holes or equipment plates above and/or below the ladders and nearby locations where they could pop up. This works a lot of the times (there is a CZcams video on how to do it). I was able to remove all the ladders in my modified Ecliptic Claymore III by doing this. I have two suggestions for your videos, which are already awesome: 1) I wish that you would do a walkaround and walkthrough of the ship before you dissect and show us how to build instead of afterwards. Do continue to tell us what each hab is during the walkthrough so that we can relate to them afterwards when you show us the build sequence. 2) I wish that you would show us the back part of the ship where the engines are mounted. You usually forget to let us see that. Perhaps it is just an oversight, lol. Anyways keep them great ship builds and rebuilds coming! My biggest concern is that I cannot make more than one or two of your builds with the 10 ship ownership limit for consoles. Increasing the total number of ships that we can have is my Number #1 mod request when, and if, mods come to the console!
I have messed around with the equipment plate to block ladder placement idea. I just don't like to do it. Also I guess it's easy for me to make so many ships because I'm constantly going through the Unity and resetting everything.
Oh as far as why I put a grav drive under the cockpit. I originally tried to up a 2x1 hab there but It doing so messed up the ladder placement. Also I didn't want to get rid of the tail 🙂

Have they fixed turrets to not fire on allies?
Do you mean turrets shooting even if there is an ally between you and an enemy? If so I don't think there has been any change that I'm aware of.
