Cake decorating time lapse: hand cut mosaic (Gaudi cake 2nd tier)

This is the 2nd video in the Gaudi cake tier 2 mosaic decoration. I coloured and hand cut a squillion tiny little tiles (including some hand painted ones) mostly in blue but with a few warm colour accents. I set about applying these to tier 2 in mosaic fashion, cutting each one individually to sit tightly against its neighbours. Hidden patterns sit within the design. This tier took me well over 20 hours to decorate. It's a display cake so I could afford that time, had it been a 'real' cake I would have pre-made the mosaic in larger panel sections which could have been applied more quickly to the cake sides.
