Kumar seemed to be delaying me a little on the way back. He was very happy to stop for a while in Balangiga, site of a horrendous massacre back in 1901, with the famous Bells only returned in 2018.

A hilarious reunion at La Maison Punjab, an excellent Indian-French restaurant in Tacloban, before heading back to Mindanao.
Would I make it to the Saddle on Panaon Island and on to the ferry? Just about...
