    Nice video. I have been the proud owner of a Silver '05 Modern Luxury LS430 (same wheels as yours) since 2012. Mine had 50K on it when I purchased it from the original owner for $29K. Those wheels are a $2K+ factory add-on. I still have the original window sticker for $64K+ in the glove box. Miles are up to 143K+ on my LS430 now. It is absolutely the best car I have ever or WILL EVER own. I always enjoy watching owners fawning over this car in videos. Great job.

    These were the best years of the LS on reliability. The mechanics who know these cars well will tell you this. I own one and it rarely has problems. But you must take good care of them. That’s the key to any car.

    Very nice car. Based on your description of the conditions, I think $8K was a steal.

    The car looks great. I like it a lot! 8K would definitely be a steal ....at the 28 minute mark, it looks like the front tire is bigger than the rear.

    • @ahmongus
      @ahmongus  Před 11 měsíci

      I had the camera on wide angle so it probably stretched the video a bitm i was also closer to the front too. Tires are 245/45R18.
      Thank you for leaving the comment.

    Love these LS430’s. What a steal. Two years ago I bought my 2002 ES300 w 160k miles About to turn 179k miles and it’s been amazing. Over past 2 1/2 years I Replaced 20 year old OEM parts (starter, alternator, AC compressor, exhaust flex pipe and struts and just 3 days ago front calipers froze up not entirely but enough so that it wouldn’t move when you put it in drive).
    When I retire in 3-5 years I may want a 2006 LS430, we’ll see what I find. Base model not the UL package.

    Wow beautiful car I picked up and 04 Modern Luxury with 179k last month for 1000 bucks the motor was seized I bought a used motor with 162k for 500 bucks before the new motor was installed we changed the timing belt and water pump kit with the Aisin kit funny thing is the guy I bought it from did rotors and pads all around as well as new tires before his wife blew the motor all in all I paid about 2800 bucks for mine when you factor in everything I did

    I think you paid $7000 for it only because it has high miles if the miles were at 100,000 I’m sure it’s definitely worth a minimum of 12 grand. Let me know and good luck. Beautiful Carl beautiful color.

    great find. I have similar model 2004. Debating if I need to replace the transmission fluid at 150,000. you have mentioned that you have done that. Have you done that at the shop?

    • @ahmongus
      @ahmongus  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I replaced the fluid myself. It appears the fluid was previously replaced too as it was still dark red. The 04-06 has a 6 speed transmission with non-dipstick so measure what you drained out and fill back in with the same exact amount.

    • @aypues
      @aypues Před 10 měsíci

      Yes, make sure to change all the fluid, not just a drain and fill.

      Thanks. It's available on Amazon, Ebay and Walmart. I got from Walmart because it has the better price.
      Search for this:

    Beautiful car! I'm looking for one of these, either a '05 or '06. What you paid? I'd say $9000-$9500.
    I looked at a '05 with 181k miles at dealer. They were asking $7995.
    I wanted to take it to a mechanic to get checked over but it wind up getting sold.
    Seemed to be a really good car but I was a bit cautious. I saw a few things that made me question the quality of work done.
    Did you see a carfax or such beforehand ? ..or getting some sort of inspection? One thing about buying from private owner(s) is you can get some history about car.
    I Live in WI, many of these have well over 200k miles, are beat/ damaged. WI is rust belt land so that concerns me some.
    If you wanted to sells yours, I'd be interested🤗
