Thanks for watching!
Where do you place your bottle jack to lift the truck in front and rear when changing tires? I have the same exact truck and have Lance camper
I havnt changed a tire with this truck/camper yet. I have done it many times on a 2010 Silverado 4x4 and I placed the jack under the frame either far back or up close to the front tire. I used the rear hitch once and the diff head before too. I always had to put some 2x6s under the jack to get enough height. It gets a little sketchy for sure. I cant imagine a High-Lift jack being any safer but I could be mis-informed. I have considered getting a small floor jack but they are pretty clunky to keep in a truck camper. Either way an "overkill" approach seems important with matters like these.
Thanks for watching and good luck!
@@westernsoutherner1 that’s so sketchy to add piece of wood to raise jacks yes. Thank you for taking the time to reply!
Damp rid under the bed and in the camper.
Ha yes we keep some in there- believe it or not we are in such a dry setting there was only like an ounce of water in the bottom after a year or so... Good reminder though never the less in the event that we have a leak or something gets wet. I grew up in the southeast where its so humid your jacket sleeves towards the back of a the closet can get mildew- I love the climate out here.
