Simple a stress free life. Also her entire existence is maintaining her looks. She don't work a normal job. Doesn't have to worry about bills. So she maintains her looks. Occasionally gets some acting role. All acting really is. Is chronic lying.

"This movie wasn't weird enough!" uhhhhh did we watch the same movie?? This was a perfect way to carry on the torch of the Stuart Gordon Lovecraft universe and I am blown away at the amount of dedication from everyone involved.

Just watched it . Not bad ! Love Barbara Crampton.
They took the Blumhouse approach and throttled everything back. They never just went there at any point. I really appreciated the throwback vibes to Stuart Gordon. But again, Stuart Gordon always went there, so I don't know how I feel. The best part was watching the rear facing camera and she kept backing into the dude.

I really felt for beth, when she swapped into Asa's zombie body. That was painful to think about. But yeah that was not enough, again I feel like this is to build a sequel but I'm not sure if that was the direction they're going
Gordon was set to direct this but his death put a stop to that.

I'm not interested in forced nudity, but I'm irritated by this trend of movies about sexuality avoiding nudity at all cost to the point of being distracting This, Sanctuary, the new Hellraiser, that Ana de Armas erotic thriller from last year, etc.
Shoutout to Brandon Cronenberg and Julia Ducournau for going there when necessary.

Do you guys know if there will be a part two? Maybe with more “flesh” and explanation/background on the entity?
It was good. Not favorite. I chuckled at the sex scenes. I feel like considering all players were sexy it should have been more… not cringy. It’s not that I have an issue with nudity, sex, wild sex or even SA because I lowkey think this was SA at some points. But, I can’t put my finger on why I had an issue with this.. Not even an issue. It was just funny. And clearly, it’s not suppose to be. So, I felt wrong in feeling that way. Like laughing at a funeral. That kind of naughtiness.
Maybe that was the intention.
If Lovecraft made a low budget syfy original movie.
Trailer looked SO much better. I thought I was going into a psychologically intriguing, clever, dark, sexually deviant, body horror, fun as hell and disturbing gore show.... instead I got a silly ass B-movie imitation with some decent ideas but ultimately something with the depth of a kiddie pool and horrendous performances.
Heather Graham was adorable though. That helps.

So they didn't go full on like the commercial advertisement was showing probably check it out anyway. 🤔 Reality, killer I did check that out a couple of times The actress from the remake of sabrina the teenage which but that shit is better. 😎💯
This movie kinda blows. Really disappointing for a fan of Lovecraft and the original story. There are some things I liked about it though. After seeing such a high rating from critics and viewers, I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking that. You guys really hit the nail on the head here, I think.

Lovecraft would have despised this adaptation. They either didn't understand his original story, or they just didn't give a damn. Yes, the very basic concept is there, but they obviously felt they needed to "reimagine" it. Wretched, pandering, over-the-top crap.
It is definitely not great unfortunately
First thing i said was this looks incredibly cheap and was incredibly cheesy but not in a good way. Very disappointing.
