I really do like your videos that you show how to do things. Some people might not know how to do that or might be interested in how truck drivers do things. Yes that recirculating filter seems to be the worst filter to ever change. Keep these videos coming. Be safe.
"for your steering wheel holders, not the super truckers" xD love it. wish i had found ur channel years ago haha
Good material. Stay safe and keep the videos coming
Thanks Mark
Look at you with the Hippie oils..lol
lol I blame my hippie parents :-)
Hey that really easy to do. It like you doing that in your house. House air filter you got to exchange it nice work. 👌
Love the vids bud
Keep them coming pls sir
Interesting video, J.J. thanks
Thanks Skullitor
That other lip is usually for an extra thinner filter usually a HEPA or anti allergy filter
Any ideas where I can get one?
@@JJtheTrucker not sure amazon maybe? Aslong as it is the same size as the other you should be fine. They do that in cars and some other stuff that requires air filtration sometimes. Also using your re-circ air is the best thing for your a/c system as it isn't constantly trying to chill warm outside air. Recirc brings cabin temps down much faster also should improve fuel economy, vehicle a/c used to use as much as 10% from the engines power. If you are concerned about fresh air I would buy some wind deflectors then crack the window a touch 👍
Cool!
I’m creating my playlist of the JJ, Dyi, for cavemen Jajajaja 👍
Hey JJ missed the chat but watching now. Keep on trucking
Thanks Danny, you too 😁👍
Started with my trainer Saturday. We been working in pretrip now we got it down we start backing training tomorrow starting with straight line backing.
Right on! How's your trainer?
@@JJtheTrucker its going good. I like the way he teaches. I spent 3 days doing noting but pretrip and stuff Tuesday is our first day driving we gonna start with straight line backing. About the only thing i don't like is he wont keep us out there for more then 4 hours a a day and we meet first thing in the AM so half the day im just bored with nothing to do.
Man, what did they do to your truck that got you from Dallas, Tx to Springfield, MO in an hour? We all need that software update lol.
Roflmao 🤣😂🤣😂
It was a software update to the Flux Capacitor.
So if you have the ape hanger shifter then the essential oil is not required? Good thing you used the little words so they understood. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Very cool video of an overlooked filter. Just think of all the filters out there with mildew etc in them and guys not being able to figure out why they keep getting sick. Thanks again Buddy. Stay safe out there.
Roflmao! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
you do not have to remove the blower motor to replace the recirc filter, need a 15 inch pick to reinstall it, just reach in and grab it pulls right out use the pick on the top right corner as you slide it into place, paccar dealers sell the bunk and cabin filters that have a cleanable filter if your looking to save some money over time,
Good info, thanks.
I heard Super Truckers prefer Chamoille oil in their filters.
Roflmao!
There's also a recirculation filter inside the dash, on peterbilt 579 if you remove the glove box it's located behind the actual blower motor, it's a small micro filter. That is the primary and should be 2- one on tip and one below it.... Just did all these on one 👍
You got me with that one! I was like how could the transmissions effect the air filter steps? Haha
lol
Try lychee fruit oil it smells like squash air freshener but naturally
FYI: If you push the button in the fan speed knob (light is on) you are running the system in recirculation.
Exactly, so don't do that unless you need to heat or cool the cab quickly and temporarily. Thst filter is a pain to replace and you're not getting fresh air.
Hahaha the ending … that made my day damn cinnamon drivers lol
Love the video! I had a quick question. Why do almost all the trucks run super singles verse the duel rear tires?
most trucks actually still run dual tires instead of super singles. Most of the mega carriers have switched to Super singles for the long-term cost savings.
super singles save 800 pounds of weight
Do kn makes semi truck filter ? They are washable and reuseable and u can spray air refreshments on it makes your cab smell good lol
nice video man. you still around for that hat? im finally in to upgrade
Yes, absolutely! What's your driver code? 👍👍👍👍👍
afternoon JJ from Kutztown Pa . you missed me on the live chat
Sorry bout that Richard, I missed calling out a lot of peeps to keep it short on time, but I did see ya there 😊
@@JJtheTrucker we are all good just wanted to say hey
Been binge watching your vids this weekend. A suggestion, the background music is a touch loud and over powers your voice.
Did you get the filter at peterbilt or the terminal?
At the terminal
How come super truckers can't use the oil step? They need to stick with the little Christmas trees, green scent, correct?
🤣😂🤣 Exactly!
That is the EXTERNAL in cab air filter. There is another that peterbilt never tells anybody about behind the blower in the dash. Its gets super dirty.
Yeah, that's the recirculating in cab filter. Hard to get to. I touch on it in the vid.
Recommended by Peterbilt to be changed annually. More if you use recirculating air.
Hi jj
Hi Ioanna. Did you make it to the live chat? If you missed it, I think the replay is available now. 😊
New profile Pic?
yes I watch the your live video and olso wrote a comment great live amazing stay safe jj
There should be 2 filters you pulled out one your missing a small one
I see space for a second filter or pre-filter, but nobody knows anything about it.
@@JJtheTrucker Peterbilt part number is F37-1018 (for a 2019 anyway). Dealer parts department has a schematic
no luck is bad luck
Is that to say "if you have no luck, then that's bad luck"? Or... "none of the luck that's out there is bad luck"?
This filter signs Made in China.
Get that thing in the wash bay !!! Good Lord ...disgusting and some wheel polishing wouldn't hurt ...your on tv virtually now ..come on bro !!!!
Didn't you see the weather? It was a rainy and snowy week. I got it washed before leaving the terminal.
And then I hit a dust storm in Amarillo.
