    I really do like your videos that you show how to do things. Some people might not know how to do that or might be interested in how truck drivers do things. Yes that recirculating filter seems to be the worst filter to ever change. Keep these videos coming. Be safe.

      @@JJtheTrucker not sure amazon maybe? Aslong as it is the same size as the other you should be fine. They do that in cars and some other stuff that requires air filtration sometimes. Also using your re-circ air is the best thing for your a/c system as it isn't constantly trying to chill warm outside air. Recirc brings cabin temps down much faster also should improve fuel economy, vehicle a/c used to use as much as 10% from the engines power. If you are concerned about fresh air I would buy some wind deflectors then crack the window a touch 👍

    So if you have the ape hanger shifter then the essential oil is not required? Good thing you used the little words so they understood. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Very cool video of an overlooked filter. Just think of all the filters out there with mildew etc in them and guys not being able to figure out why they keep getting sick. Thanks again Buddy. Stay safe out there.

    you do not have to remove the blower motor to replace the recirc filter, need a 15 inch pick to reinstall it, just reach in and grab it pulls right out use the pick on the top right corner as you slide it into place, paccar dealers sell the bunk and cabin filters that have a cleanable filter if your looking to save some money over time,

  • @OSheaShenanigans

  • @slovenlybard549
    @slovenlybard549 Před 2 lety

    There's also a recirculation filter inside the dash, on peterbilt 579 if you remove the glove box it's located behind the actual blower motor, it's a small micro filter. That is the primary and should be 2- one on tip and one below it.... Just did all these on one 👍

    FYI: If you push the button in the fan speed knob (light is on) you are running the system in recirculation.

    • @JJtheTrucker
      @JJtheTrucker  Před 3 lety +2

      Exactly, so don't do that unless you need to heat or cool the cab quickly and temporarily. Thst filter is a pain to replace and you're not getting fresh air.

    • @JJtheTrucker
      @JJtheTrucker  Před 3 lety +3

      most trucks actually still run dual tires instead of super singles. Most of the mega carriers have switched to Super singles for the long-term cost savings.

      Recommended by Peterbilt to be changed annually. More if you use recirculating air.
