    I just use the M.2 -> USB external case, backup all the data then reinstall - no need to make your customer buy another NVMe drive when it is not necessary.
    But I usually fix the blue screen using normal methods. It's not that hard to check event viewer files on a different PC or import a registry to modify autorun, or fix windows boot manager etc. Full system reinstall is the last step. Almost all customers appreciate this, because they don't need to reinstall everything just because their PC had a driver gone bad or other minor problem.

    Looked like a cheap ssd, these can be filled with issues causing situations like this. Best thing to do is back up data to another drive and use a good name brand ssd for the os drive

    Had the same stuff later. Firstly, system hangs, losing system SSD, then BSoD. Firstly, try to plug it into different SATA port or with different cable

    Best option: RMA the Motherboard, which I did, now... no more CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED, no more RAM XMP issues. I did all the troubleshoots above btw, before RMA.

    The last windows versions are pretty stable. Most bluescreens are hardware related not software. That is why we could see it fail over and over. And next time take the ssd out and put it in a dock or something and backup the customers files jeez.

    I too am facing some blue screen errors with code " Video mismanagement failure", "page fault non paged area" and "nvdllm". So i decided to use DDU and clean uninstall graphcis drivers. The laptop ran OK for two days and thena gain i got the blue screen with the same error. Now before all this I had reset the Laptop with clean drive through local reinstall from device option. But as soon as it started ot got stuck at 1%. I waited for 15 hrs and then out of frustration I turn off charger switch and instantly turned it on. It showed a blue screen and then started installating windows normally. I think the windows aren't installed properly. So should I install windows from cloud or local reinstall from device? I have already tried local from device so maybe i should try cloud this time

    • @sgtcrofty2053
      @sgtcrofty2053 Před 6 měsíci

      Yeah try the cloud option. If you have no luck factory reset it via a factory image from your laptop manufacturer

    In my case I can't even start the safe mode. It reboots over and over again with the same blue screen and Windows does not even get initiated, no simbol, nothing. My laptop is a Huawei, "Huawei"is the only thing that appears before that blue screen

    The blue screen continues to appear every time I install Windows. It only runs correctly for a certain period and then the blue screen appears. Knowing that I installed two types of hard drives in the laptop, is this the reason? A friend told me that the device cannot withstand the load and heat, and problems begin to appear. I want I would like to check with you regarding this matter.

    Or you could boot to a live linux environment from a usb and use that to back the customer's data up
    Or maybe plug that ssd into a different pc you have and back their data that way.
    No need to scam the customer of the price of a new ssd.
    Maybe that's just me

    You should have just booted into Linux for data recovery and copied to an external drive that would have been easier than getting a customer a new SSD then tried to run sfc/dism from a Windows install usb. I assume you tried DISM and SFC and it failed?

    Get a cheap sata ssd and make a backup copy of windows with macrium. Shut down, leave it unplugged for when this day comes. Second, have a dedicated usb setup with windows creation tool and leave it for when shit really goes wrong.
