Absolutely insane example of the “never give up” attitude and one of the reasons why you have achieved the level of success you enjoy, now. I have just recently discovered your channel here on CZcams and have been perusing some older content, but THIS one actually had me coming out of my chair. That was incredible. 1st cast, line snaps and hand lined a 9lb'er I mean you coulda just went in from that point cause your day isn't gonna get any better than that. I don't understand why you only have 12k subscribers, your videos, attitude and advice are awesome. Glad you got a camera guy that's now gonna be with you cause you need a lot more content brother. You can make just as much on social media with your fishing as you can actually fishing BASS and you deserve it. Tight lines.

Man, I’ve really come to love a 7:1 for just about everything. I cranked 6:1 for many years but sometimes you just have to speed it up to catch up with a fish that’s running towards you. Especially smallmouth. 5:1 is too slow, 8:1 is way too fast.
Zaldaingerous exactly. People think I’m crazy when I tell them that. I’d rather have the control of the fish when I need it. Not trying to play catch up with a 5 or 6 speed reel.
Quick thinking to catch the line... What reel and ratio do you use to avoid getting worn down, but still move the bait quickly?

Yo Jason, I run an Odyssey Extreme 31 AGM cranking battery. I also run a Battle Born lithium on a manual switch (in parallel) for those long days that require extra juice.
