I think Judge Lynn nailed it in her summation - these two are trying to make a family/relationship when they have no idea what one is, having never been in one. Kara does not have a caregiver personality, partially because she's too young to understand the concept. You can't wait for someone in need of care to tell you they need their medicine - you have to know the treatment schedule and make sure they are following it. Brandon appears to forget she is that young and expects a higher level of maturity... but she's still a kid with no life experience. They both have a LOT of growing up to do, but I don't know if they can do it in time to make this work long-term.

This is so true. When I was 18 I dated a 27 year old and was with him for 5 years. I was a complete emotional wreck when we split. I was inexperienced, straight out of high school and didn't date when I was in there and the relationship was basically me proving myself worthy of him and constantly trying to come up tops over every woman he had waiting on the sidelines. We split because I cheated. Granted I wasn't perfect either but he moved in with his new girl a week after we broke up. Looking back he never could be alone and I was constantly kept on my toes. My self esteem took a knock because of that relationship but yeah. These big age gaps amongst younger people are grounds for exploitative and insecure people who exercise power dynamics. Still healing from that but I'm glad I'm not there anymore

This is so true. When I was 18 I dated a 27 year old and was with him for 5 years. I was a complete emotional wreck when we split. I was inexperienced, straight out of high school and didn't date when I was in there and the relationship was basically me proving myself worthy of him and constantly trying to come up tops over every woman he had waiting on the sidelines. We split because I cheated. Granted I wasn't perfect either but he moved in with his new girl a week after we broke up. Looking back he never could be alone and I was constantly kept on my toes. My self esteem took a knock because of that relationship but yeah. These big age gaps amongst younger people are grounds for exploitative and insecure people who exercise power dynamics. Still healing from that but I'm glad I'm not there anymore

No such thing as being "too young" to be married. At 18 your legally able to do whatever you like. It's about two ppl who can come together and both decide it's what they want.
She grew up within dysfunction and so the stability of marriage likely works for her. Her childhood was probably not like those who spent their entire life in a functional household. With that being said, their relationship actually looks like it will be a good relationship if the husband does not let his insecurities get away from him. I pray they create the stability and family that everyone deserves.
