Hello I have the same trolley it looks nice and runs nice like you said it's a little noisy also have some other trolleys some are from Bachmann and tyco and ahm......
I have the green Desire Street version of this trolley that I picked up recently. Mine is the same pancake Drive yours has. I believe there are more recent versions of these Bachman trolleys that have a can motor. I also have an A.H.M. trolley that pulls around a dummy car. The A.H.M. is actually quiet.
The trolleys that you really want are the Tyco trolleys from the 70s these Bachmann trolleys are a dime a dozen to me these Bachmann trolleys are too generic that's why I'll say the Tyco trolleys from the 70s are better all the way around
I don't have a tyco trolley yet and I do have the Bachmann Desire Street Brill trolley. I also have the The greenand yellow A.H.M. trolley that comes with a dummy car to pull behind it.

Awesome old bachmann ho trolley had that exact one when I was a kid I bought it at KB Toys in the mall were I live! Always ran actually pretty good!

They are a bit noisy. Wonder how the modern ones perform?

I could be wrong on this, but I don't think so. Bachmann has most of Hershey sets and think this is just a part of that line of products.
