The editing on this video is fantastic and I LOVED that we could see you at the beginning of the video! đđ
@Khari Keith no. No one gives a sh*t. And the same fake 2 messages are on every cpl videos I watch... And 2nd of all why the h*** would you be in a relationship with someone who you feel you need to hack into their social media account? If you can't trust them, break up with them! Problem solved
Nice to see the face to match the voice. The end result was fantastic.
amazing ! Cant wait to see more videos like these i was glued to the screen for all 8 minutes!
thanks buddy!
OHMYGGADD! my both idol đđ„° please collab soon đ„șđ
look who's hereeeeeeee. Love your content and art too SLEW! Good luck with the move to NY :D
I was so shock when I clicked on the video. lol. Love the painting as usual.
đ€Ł
Ok! You started the way I do with my pieces. I prime with the medium. You can use the acrylic without the medium, but it will eventually crack, even with heat setting. Mixing the medium with the paint helps it flow better, too. I also use the medium to seal the finished product. And, yes, painting on denim is trying. This looks incredible, Alpay. I am indeed jealous.
> for people who don't have a big budget <
Obviously, the higher the quality of paint you use, the better results you'll get, so you'll need less medium with better paint. If you're using cheaper craft acrylic, you ABSOLUTELY need the medium, or your hard work will end up peeling off. You can get GAC 100 or Tulip fabric paint medium. They're both great. Don't be precious about high quality brushes. Denim will chew them up. Use cheap nylon taklon. If you really wanna splurge on specialty paints, look into Angelus. That stuff is even good for use on shoes and leather.
good advice, thanks!
@@airdrummer55 I'm glad my experiments eventually helped you find answers!
@@kittiewoodheath4140 I love finding useful tips and info in the comments.
Strong is the force in this artists and his laser brushes!
Damn you painted it so well it looks like someones projecting that scene from the movie on your denim đđ„đ„
It just blows my mind seeing people be able to paint with acrylics AND oil
The background music and the glow color in the back made me smile. Godzilla, Obi Wan.. yep. I am happy that I saw a video with the collaboration so I could find your channel. I'm getting back into sketching again, and I like colour. Your channel is calming and educational and enjoyable.
Sometimes studying art makes me question myself. Why the fuck am i even doing this? Why torture myself so much? Why do i even think this is my passion when it becomes so hard for myself to get ready and draw. And then i see a video like this. Which gets me so pumped up. Customizing, doing what ever the heck i want. Create something for myself. That's the reason we draw. We want to express ourself by our own creation. It doesn't need to be a master piece. It can be anything that makes me happy and makes me feel cool. Thank you dude. I never liked painting as a kid i always thought it was kinda messy and its kind for i don't know masters. But you are the one who got me watching videos and make me fall in love with painting even though all i do is still draw without color.
I know that the surface texture was frustrating but I actually love the texture that shows through, I like the vibe of it!
It's almost like the dithering in 80s video games.
Your jacket is amazing. I'm not anywhere near the artist you are but I do enjoy creating painted clothing . I too have painted jackets over the years. Most frequent is Frida Kahlo's face on the back of a denim jacket. Then embellished her with beads and seashells on her jewelry and clothing.I've also painted on dresses I've purchased a at thrift shops . I'm inspired by you and will be doing more. Thank you Mr. Efe.
I think the fabric texture makes it look even better, it helps with the 80s look you were talking about, makes me think of pixels
Sooo awesome and refreshing to see your favorite artists voice finally in person! And love the result!! Thank your for inspiring me once again â€ïž
đ€
Hollyyyyyyyyyyyy finally on screen!!
Really amazing to see this , just few days back I finished painting Obi wan Kenobi and here you have also done it . That's how law of attraction works. Wonderful painting đ.
I think you did a great job. I think blue Jean is great to work in. T- shirt is the worst for hand painting. Itâs so soft and just hard. Iâve been painting clothes for a long time. Itâs fun and so many ppl buy it. I donât post anything online. Iâve always been fortunate to sell what I make. Being productive is hard. I love to draw and deadlines or needing to make something takes away from drawing. It becomes a job. So Iâm one who keeps to myself but I always have ppl who want me to show the world. I might but I have the fear of success. Iâm learning alot from your videos. Thank you
This was a really good piece your tips have helped me alot and I would probably paint good ol' pikachu on my denim jacket
LOVE!!! I would paint an album cover from the 70's. Would take a lot to whittle down the list.
Amazing work
reminds me of the headbangers on my neighborhood growing up with the elaborate Iron Maiden and other heavy metal band patches on the backs of their denim jackets. this looks really cool
haha when i saw ur eyes. i felt how awkward u must be feeling lmao
Yup đ
You manage to pull off EVERYTHING you paint
The man in the flesh! It's nice to see you not just in the live streams. The work is flawless as usual and the editing of the video is incredible! I admire you so much, Alpay. You're so much more than just a badass painter.
I Love it. I have painted many denim jackets with knights horses and Anime. It's just so much fun. I have had problems with the white paint cracking after many washings there is an additive you can mix to help the acrylic hold up but there is nothing like the look of an old denim jacket!
i can only imagine how awkward it must feel to talk in front of a camera alone omg. But you did a great job!
Love the choice of the painting! It looks great!
Wooow this came out great! I painted on my jacket about 3 months ago and yes, I had the same bumps on the road because just like you, I did not watch any tutorials in what materials to use or how to prep the surface. Surprisingly enough after numerous washes the painting still looks the same with the exception of a few cracks that I believe are due to the fact that my jacket is a bit stretchy đ
I really appreciate ur ideology & creativities on painting. I wish you more wisdom & blessings
It was a pleasure seeing you
Obi Wan Kenobi ist eine meiner Lieblingsfigur in Star Wars !
The real test is how can you make the painting resistant to washing?
Or rain. I live in Wales !
@@daikayll1897 Thatâs very true. Regardless, itâs a great way to update an article of clothing.
acrylic is permanent on fabric, even without a sealant or heat, as I've sadly learned over the years.
Itâs already resistant to washing as acrylic paint is permanent, just like when you get it on your clothes accidentally. There are fabric sealers out there too.
Loved seeing you and LOVE this result!! I'm so going to do this. Agree with another comment, I like seeing the texture of the material through the paint, looks more like a painting and not an iron-on sticker. Really enjoy your channel.
Awesome video! The Kenobi jacket rules. I love the effect of the denim texture on the painting.
I like your Mickey shirt and as usual love your video
Nice! I would paint one of those vintage flower illustrations/posters. Think that would look good.
Fantastic! I love Star Wars. If I could paint at this level, I would do a Han Solo jacket. Who am I kidding? Iâd have a jacket for every character! Lol
Agreed!
The editing in this video is just amazing! Plus it is very nice to see your face, makes it feel more personal :)
Yay, thank you! âș
I love your Star Wars paintings đđ
This turned out amazing! I actually painted my own denim jacket in the first lockdown (in the UK) back in March 2020. I painted lead singer of Years & Years, Olly Alexander and Iâm so happy with it because itâs truly one of a kind. I definitely want to do another one in the future
Wow! This turned out amazing! I actually also painted my denim jacket a while the back, but just the sleeve. I decided to paint the capsule corp logo from dragon ball, it fit perfectly!
what a great idea đ
Bravo very impressive. Speaking of '80s, I had a painted t-shirt sort of an Egyptian style motif of various lines with similar and different hieroglyphics on them and shapes. I liked it so much that I got a cheap pair of canvas shoes and painted the same style on the shoes. I loved wearing that combination. Eventually, the shoes got donated but I do still have the top. It's in pretty good condition. Perhaps, I will have to paint another set of shoes to match it. Looking for the next time you paint on denim. Blessings.
Iâd love to see what youâd do with a pair of white shoes! I love painting/drawing on white shoes
This is something i have been dreaming to do for long. Thank you for this tutorial
You did great! I have painted many a Jean jacket and other items of clothing!! My baby cover alls were so popular my friendâs kept asking for me. But I do like using fabric paints a little better and then I have also used chalk paints. Definitely fabric paints for your style!! Thank you for your channel! I love it.

Iâve been painting on denim jackets for years but I am always learning something new. I agree with you and would have made the picture bigger, fading it out rather than having hard edges. Iâve just recently been enjoying the denim showing through a bit and donât have to use multiple coats to keep that from happening. The only jackets that have cracked are from using too many coats of paint, not from any type of medium or paint itself. I do whatâs easy and mixing paint with fabric medium is a nuisance, craft paint on its own works just as well. I always seal mine with something and still have jackets that Iâve worn - and washed - for years. This video was delightful, thanks!
I would have chose sunflower to paint đ but you killed it đ
Dude, you didn't feel awkward on this end of the tube to me. The jacket turned out incredibly well for the surface. Great! Now I wanna paint my jeans.
Go for it đ
@@AlpayEfe Oh I'm going to now. Need to get some acryIic paint, cause I never use it, but it's gogoing to happen.
ITS GOOD TO SEE YOU ON FRAME!!
Turned out great! Looks like it was a good challenge for you.
Love it!!! May the force be with you my fellow 80s pop culture and movie nerd!
Alpay Efe: it's REALLY INTERESTING!
Please create some acrylic portrait painting videos too!!
4k video :0 I love it- the detaillllssssss
I like that you just dove in with your own knowledge instead of doing piles of research! Don't get me wrong, I *love* to research, but figuring a problem out for yourself has its own satisfaction. I'll be curious to know if your jacket ends up cracking, or how it needs to be washed/maintained.
Lovely video, Alpay! Thank you! Love from Brazil!
You can use screen printing gel that you can mix with acrylics, as it ironed on afterwards, and wonât shift!
It worked out amazing đ€© I love it đ„°
Bloody amazing! You rock dudeđ
This is my first comment ever ^^ so I really liked to finally see the guy who is into art AND Star wars, just like me. "Good old Obi Wan" â„ïž on your jacket is just amazing and I'm super excited for every following video.
just today i wanted to look into painting one of my shirts lol. but only, i was concerned with acrylics because it makes cotton shirts stiff.
You putting on the jacket made me question my sexuality.
Confirmed mine đ
This is wonderful! Well done Alpay
I'm curious to know how it will look after a year of wearing it.
I've painted many t-shirts over the years and the painted image holds up extremely well.
I also painted my leather jacket almost 40 years ago and it still looks great.
With normal acrylic?
@@gavin-corey-regels4784 Yes. Good quality acrylic in a tube.
Can i ask you how to care and wash painted clothes with acrylics, doesnât it wash off?
@@glendafox5414 How do you clean them? Any advice?
It looks SOO GOOOD đČđČđđâš
As a punk in the 80's I would bleach a square out of the back of the denim jacket and then draw with a pencil my design and then black marker. Had a few, mostly skulls. I did a great one with the album cover of " The Day the Country Died" by the Sub Humans. My point is I found it easy to bleach out a square rather than paint it white. My 16-19 year old self would have flipped if I'd known I could have used acrylic paint! Your obi wan turned out beautiful jacket though, I think I'm going to recreate my '86 jacket but with your method this time. I am going to bleach it though.
This is sooo amazing! Beautiful artwork, I Absolutely love it!!! đđđ
đ„° I enjoyed this very much. I have so far to go.
Itâs really good to see your face! Your work is amazing as usualđđœ. Acrylics drive me crazy, but you worked it.
It is awesome đđđvery nice ~ It was like watching a movieđđ
this is one of the best videos i've seen!! the entire process is amazing!!!!!
I love this! I actually like how the denim texture shows through the paint.
This is so satisfying to see. Much more than your other most satisfying videos that I really enjoy watching. Absolutely gorgeous! Can't wait to see your next denim painting videos (if there's any in the near future). Thank you for sharing this.
Looks great!
Fabulous video! Loved it.

Beautiful work,keep sharing ,nice đđđđ
Sooo cool!! Perfect as always đđŒ
Excellent painting, I would paint the Mandalorian or Boba Fett on my jacket and great to see the person behind the voice!
This is definitely a banger!
I think it came out great! And I like the denim texture showing through the paint, it adds character
Loved it!!! What a fun concept and it turned out great.
Great idea! Amazing result!! Im seriously thinking of trying it too!!!
