These ladies are amazing. The only metal band that can bring me to tears with their guitar solos and song structures. But watching your reaction really made me emotional. It’s such a positive uplifting message. No matter what you believe in, I think everyone can relate and find hope in this song. These ladies are fantastic and only get better and better. FYI, Midori is my girl too. I love all these beautiful talented ladies, but Midori has a special place in my heart. She was the one who composed the music while Asami wrote the lyrics.

To all my loving and supportive fans,
It was really hard to make this decision, but I have to announce my departure from LOVEBITES as of August 17, 2021. Given the current state of the world, it has made it difficult for me to give my goodbyes in person, so I really apologize for those who are shocked by this sudden announcement.
Over the past couple of years, I have been self-reflecting and reconsidering how I can be myself as a musician. When I look back, this period gave me an opportunity to broaden my perspective in both my professional and personal life.
LOVEBITES has been my life since 2016, and it always holds my best memories, especially performing at WACKEN OPEN AIR made one of my dreams come true even though it's still unreal to me.
I couldn't have done any of these without my bandmates, crew, staff and the undying love and support from fans all across the globe. My words cannot describe how much I want to thank you all for everything.
I'm parting ways with the band. However, my spirit for Heavy Metal never dies. Also, LOVEBITES will keep moving forward, so I really hope you all keep giving the same love for their future.
Thank you so much again for all your love and support.

Firstly thank you all for always supporting LOVEBITES.
Today we have to let you know that our bassist, Miho, is leaving LOVEBITES. We’re so sorry to be bringing such sad news to our fans and everyone who has supported us so far.
After Miho told us she was thinking of leaving, the band and our staff have had countless meetings to find a way for her to stay. But in the end, we decided to respect Miho’s wish.
When we think of and feel for our fans, we struggle to find the right words to say.
This is also a really tough one but we need to let you know that we will be suspending our activities as LOVEBITES for a while. However, we are definitely coming back. We kindly ask for your patience until then.

I was Lovebites bitten about 5 years ago. Lyrics is written by Asami vocalist and clip was shoot at wedding venue in Aoyama Tokyo. GREAT REACTION.
Awesome reaction. You would love Insight, live from the abyss. Great lyrics, vocals. Burden of time , live studio. Miyako plays guitar in her left hand while playing the piano with her right, just awesome. Midori, the blond guitarist, was at NAMM trade show in Anaheim, Cal, back in Jan 2020. She was in the Kemper amplification area, as she uses Kemper Profiler. . Her hair down, in jeans,and a tshirt, banging out their songs Addicted, and Shadowmaker. You sat on floor just few feet in front of her, and standing. She is so down to earth, friendly.
The song Epilogue is the most beautiful ballad, between the lyrics, Asami voice and the guitars, I go through tissues galore. Miyakos guitar solo , is so beautiful, it just cries emotion, both just ooze emotion through their solos. I really think you would love Epilogue, Insight, Swan song, Edge of tomorrow, as you love lyrics, and emotion. But epilogue, you'll need tissues. But i do have a request on your live streams for Edge of tommorow, duskwind has it in your que. Edge of tomorrow, and Holy war, both songs, Asami has her own Asamigasm with long, long held notes.
This song Glory, Midori wrote it, when she was in Europe and USA, she had visited churches. And they wrote it about the world were in now, with a pandemic, hate, race, wars, etc. And how we need hope. I dont know how religious they are, but They filmed this in that church, but Midori enjoyed the architectures of them.
Asami was a ballerina, it's why she is so graceful. But yeah, Lovebites, Band Maid, Nemophila with Nightwish command all my listening.

When Midori was visiting America and the uk before the pandemic hit she visited many churches which inspired her to write this amazing song. Midori (Jen's My Girl), the composer of this song, commented, "I composed this song with church music in mind. When I went to USA, and between UK tour, whenever I found time, I went to the local black church several times. The power of church music, the energy of people, was tremendous. I think this song has had that kind of atmosphere from the moment it was born. With the wish to create a song with such power, we paid attention to every detail of the arrangement. The world is in trouble right now, but I hope this song can help push your back.". And a little comment by Asami who wrote this lyrics. "Like Midori, I liked church music and often went to church. So love, respect and admire Love Bites. They are my personal all time favorite band.
The message behind this song is very very powerful, the religious context is mostly symbolic. Religion in Japan isn't really a thing, in their interviews on the song it was more about providing meaning redemption, and hope. symbols can reach out to people in different ways. I am glad you see the beauty of the song, because you can feel their heart in it, everything about this band is special.
Respectfully my opinion is that religion is everywhere in Japan. Those gates you see free standing everywhere in Japan signify passing into a spiritual realm. Many anime have spiritual undertones. Yes spirituality and religiousness can be very different. The history of Japan includes monks that went to war against rulers for religious reasons. Shinto and Buddhism are everywhere in Japan. Although Christians are only about 1.5% of the population, about 65% of all weddings are Christian Ceremonies. To me the heart of religion is the Golden Rule and in Japan it shows up absolutely everywhere.

This whole mini-album that they just released a couple weeks ago is actually written to send a positive message to everyone struggling in their lives, especially during this pandemic, and you can feel it when you listen to their lyrics.
Most Lovebites lyrics are always full of positive and inspiring messages and are mostly written by the singer Asami.
I recommend you try their song "Edge of the World" Live at Zepp 2020, another beautiful song with a strong positive message and great vocals from Asami!

Asami wrote the lyrics for this song based on C-19 and the state of the world’s stress and frustration this pandemic has created and the hope of a better future and the guy in this video represents the reincarnation of Jesus Christ for today’s generation to lead us to salvation. LOVEBITES ROCKS OUR WORLD AGAIN! 🤘🤙😎
Midori (your favourite) composed this one. She likes many different types of music, including Gospel music, so while they were touring the US and UK, she visited some black churches to see actual Gospel choirs, and that was the inspiration for this track. Asami (my favourite) wrote the lyrics with a Gospel theme to go with the music. Hence all the Christian imagery. The bandmembers themselves are in all likelihood not Christian, as that's an extreme minority religion in Japan. The native religion is Shinto and most Japanese people are Buddhist, although a huge segment of the population considers themselves "non-religious" despite following traditional Shinto and Buddhist traditions. Japan's known as one of the most atheist countries on Earth. Christians are about 1.5% of the population. But regardless, it's a brilliant song and obviously strikes a chord with people who ARE Christian or otherwise believers in some higher power. The intention was to write something inspirational because of these times we're all stuck in with Covid and all that. Light at the end of the tunnel, stay positive, things are going to get better, etc. Anyway, this is the best band in the world in my humble opinion. For the longest time (well, a few years) Band-Maid was, but at some point Lovebites became my number one, and I don't really see that changing any time soon if they keep releasing stuff like this.

In an extreme way, in a country where it is even said that God dwells in everything.
It is said that there is a god even in the bathroom (laughs), and when Japanese people eat meals, "ITADAKIMASU" (Japanese) is thankful for the things (life of animals and plants) given by God.
Shinto has lots of gods and goddesses, or spirits, or whatever (kami) but there's no single supreme being creator of the universe, and it's more of a ritualistic practice than a "religion". Still, you're absolutely right that "non-religious" isn't necessarily "atheist". At the same time there was an international WIN/gallup poll not so long ago (2016) on the subject of religion, and Japan ranked third (30-39%) out of 65 countries surveyed (after China and Norway) for people who self-identified as "convinced atheists".

Jen, glad to have fellow Band-Maidiacs like you along for the ride with this band, too - I am loving Lovebites more every time I hear/watch them. Tho their stage/video image is very goddess-like, and their musicianship too, they seem like really cool and down-to-earth people during downtime. A lot like the Maids.

You must believe in yourself to rise above mediocrity,
your soul longs to express its unique generosity.
Time has been like the turning pages of a book,
You've learned as you've aged you did what it took.
Now you realize that belief comes from within,
And you can choose to believe in your ability to win.

Before you ever can get beyond to destiny's call.
many a hobo were millionaires in their heart,
but they lacked the belief in the talent they held.
Many a millionaire had to work hard at the very start,
when obstacles and adversities came they'd never yield.
Every time they fell they got back to their feet again,
And pressed on knowing they were closer to the win.
We all have talents yet many have lost hope in dreams,
they pace their rooms as their soul silently screams.
Longing solutions they would find with a better view,
If only they chose a way of living that was new
