Thank you for the different works on the same pine during one year and THE APPROXIMATE DATES THAT IS VERY HELPFUL TO JUDGE ACCORDING OUR CLIMATE 👏👍🍀❤️🙏
Amazing video, very helpful for beginner! What about that random very long needles? Any chance to cut in half or simply eliminate? They seem to me a bit unestetic
Great question! When developing a tree, the tree might not look great most its life. Because you might developing a branch or you are leaving lots of foliage to gather more strength for the tree. In this case, in by next spring, I can remove all the long needles because the growth from this year will be accumulating enough energy to where I can remove the long needles.
Do you have any idea what happened to Bonsai Northwest? I'm on the east side of the state and would go to Bonsai Northwest from time to time for supplies, but the last time I wanted to go, I discovered they're no longer in business and I would like to know what happened to them. Was it a pandemic-caused failure? Thank you!
So they closed their doors November of 2020. Not exactly sure why though. BUT there is a new owner of Bonsai Northwest and they are open on Sundays from 11-4 I think. Check out www.bonsainw.com/ they are based out of Maple Valley now!
@@PNWBonsai Thank you for responding! When I learned they'd closed, I assumed the business was gone forever and I stopped looking into it. You've given me some valuable information. Thank you!
The bottom needles are last years needles. I keep them on so the tree can gain more energy. After this year they will be removed as the small needles from the top will be used to gain energy.
Great question. I think about that tree every day. I'm trying to find the proper pot and style to display it. Haven't come up with any ideas yet. I definitely have not forgotten about that tree!
Hello Alex, so I start fertilizing around the end of February and each month until May. After decandling in June, I do not add fertilizer until around November.
Great content, keep it up!

My apologies if it's in the previous video, but what sort of soil is this in? Loving the way it's developing!
I didn't mention it in the previous video so no worries! It's in a mixture of 1/3 pumice 1/3 lava and 1/3 pine bark.
@@PNWBonsai Thank you very much!

Is that really how much fertilizer I should be using? Seems like a lot.
My problem is that i feel sorry to cut off the useless parts .. so i have tendency to leave growing and growing and it goes out of shape
When you do candle a Japanese black pond do you need to use cut paste to seal the wound or do you leave it as
No need for cut paste! Just leave as is

6:54 why this candle has long needles on the bottom part and shorter at the tip?
The bottom needles are last years needles. I keep them on so the tree can gain more energy. After this year they will be removed as the small needles from the top will be used to gain energy.
Hi.
When are you going to do a Video on your Deodar Cedar Bonsai Tree?

I have hearing problems, I can’t listen to music and speech at the same time, it’s all a blur.

本当にいいビデオだが、ボケのせいで見づらい。半分くらいピントが合ってない。
Hello. does the video show two applications of fertilizer in May and summer?
Hello Alex, so I start fertilizing around the end of February and each month until May. After decandling in June, I do not add fertilizer until around November.
