Finally we get to see David Corenswet on set and in costume for James Gunn's Superman film. Does the costume look better compared to the first initial photo reveal we got...?
Enjoy! - Krátké a kreslené filmy
David looks like he’s wearing Star Lord’s extra Guardians costume 😬
I said the same look like a guardian galaxy costume 🤷🏽♂️
@@cornelius575I think it’s the same costume designer from guardians
@@cornelius575 Soi I guesss classic superman suit, presumably looks like starlord lol, because that's mainly what this suit is.
@ETGamer-yl6dm lol yup I respect what james is doing but I can't change judge until the trailer comes out
I can see how that's probably what they were going for, but even then, it doesn't even look that good; at least those suits actually fit the actors.
I like the colors. But the bulk and bagginess of the suit doesn’t fit Superman who should have a thin tight-fitting costume that fits under his clothes. The lack of musculature on the torso is very strange.
Most superhero suits look baggy on set. They just use cgi to make them look better.
Not saying the suit is perfect. The line work isn’t my favorite but this suit is a step in the right direction
Looks like a fricken wetsuit...when they revealed Brandon Routh's suit on set, it looked just like it did in the movie except the cape wasnt attached.
At least a wetsuit fits to the body. Batman '89 was a wetsuit with muscles glued onto the chest and it looked much better since it actually fit on Keaton's body.
People laughed at Brandon Rouths suit. It had low cut bikini briefs and the red cape and boots looked brown. People weren’t excited. It’s pretty standard for people to dislike new super suits until they grow on people. Color and film grading will change the entire look of the suit.
I’m really jazzed about the S being back on the cape.
But it doesn’t look like an “S”, it looks like a 🚫 symbol
Yeah, they copied ripped off Christopher Reeves because they’re not creative enough to come up with their own designs so they ripped off old classics like reeves suit. What a fucking disgrace.
@@jasonavery I’m all for the Kingdom Come style mixed with the new52 flare. It’s something we haven’t seen yet in live action. But I get it if you don’t like it, believe me. My favorite will always be the classic 70’s version.
@@crxvtec0069 it’s like Michael Caine says, “if you’re going to steal, steal from the best”. Chris Reeve will always be the GOAT. Still looking forward to this flick though. Here’s hoping the suit eventually takes a turn towards a more traditional look.
@@crxvtec0069you’re the same type of yapper who would complain if it wasn’t there lmao
My thought is that maybe the back of the suit is unzipped for ventilation purposes between shots.
With a zip up, and a more upright, shoulders back, posture it would look better.
That wouldn’t explain the loose arms. There are photos of him clearly in the middle of scene where the suit is still loose and bunchy. The material is too thick
what i like about the suit: the bright colors, the belt + trunks combo; easily the best things about the suit.
what i still hate: the fit, it’s still baggy, still looks like a motocross suit.
Superman on a dirt bike!?😅😆🤣😂
Yeah, similar to Captain America's costume in the first movie. James Gunn is using his Marvel background, and MCU hates spandex/stretchy-types of costumes.
This is the biggest complaint I see is that its too baggy, but almost every single super hero suit is baggy to help actors do the action scenes and its fixed and edited later to take the baggy look out. The ones that are actually skin tight while filming are always a major complaint from actors because of how hard it is to film in.
@@cyberostrich3460
RE : >>>>", .....but almost every single super hero suit is baggy to help actors do the action scenes and its fixed and edited later to take the baggy look out."
psssst,.........
The actors are not actually doing the action scenes.
Most of the action scenes you see in superhero movies are either stuntmen or fully CGI.
This is a silly excuse.
Henry Cavill's Superman suit looked right and a good fit without making it look like it was wearing him instead of the other way around.
Tom Holland's Spider-Man suit (in the scenes he's actually wearing it and not the CGI scenes) looked right without.........you get the idea.
This looks cheap and lazy.
@@Cbricklynefacts
This suit doesn't make sense to me. The trunks don't go with the thick jumpsuit, I hate the collar, the only thing I like are the colors.
If I cross my eyes or try to make it look blurry, then it looks decent, but as soon as everything comes into focus it just looks bad.
I agree. I want to love it, I really do. I want this to succeed, because I don't want Superman shelved for a decade because this bombed. I love the color and the casting. I mean, he does look so much like Cavill in many pictures. I'm not a huge fan of that style S, it's overly minimalistic for an emblem that was already simple. The bunching up of the suit looks down right shitty. I mean, the Superman and Lois suit does a bit of this too, but not at this level. And, I don't care for the underwear on film. It looks dated. I didn't used to think that way, because I was pissed Snyder got rid of it. I got used to that really quick, because it made sense for it not to be there. But, seeing it back on looks cartoonish. There is no purpose, and a big belt holding up trunks looks silly in modern times. Regardless, I hope it succeeds.
Indeed. Why THE FUCK does Superman need a collar? The collar makes him look like some sort of millitary man, which works really well for the evil or dictator versions of Superman (i.e. Injustice, Red Son, Justice Lords etc.) but not main Superman. Why are so many filmmakers afraid of embracing the classic superhero looks in their movies?
@ssjcosty It’s been theorized by one user on here that the New 52 looking collar was added to cover David’s long neck.
The suit looks more like a tight fit shirt.
@@ashikmd.rashid6284 it's not even tight though.
we've been saying the suit is like one size too big.
yeah looks like a cheap costume that he rented.
He's still a growing boy. Jor-el buys the clothes one size up
It looks like a Halloween costume fit
I think they'll smoothe it out with CGI
It is literally so that he can move during action scenes instead of looking stiff like Batman trying to turn his head. It will obviously be cleaned up in post, use some common sense.
The suit is well designed but i think a thinner material would have made it fit better
That definitely would have made it 100% better
absolutely agree........and a darker blue and fill in those naked lines with something. Gold, silver a darker blue...something.
Nope
Like Tyler Hoechlin version on Fleischer suit
Yep. thinner on the chest especially. The actual design is ok (dont need the biker jacket lines)
But the colours are perfect. and extra kudos for the yellow S on the cape.
The new suit looks like a Halloween cosplay for kids😂😂😂
i mean it was supposed to plus this is set they probably edit with cgi
@@thabzaisreal fxck the cgi🤣🤣...We want quality
@@JohnnyOneil and how do you expect superman will fly and do electric beams it’s like saying avengers endgame without cgi
@@thabzaisreal bro wtf..I'm not talking about flying,I'm talking bout the suit you dumas
@@thabzaisreal Gunn said they wouldn't edit the suit with CGI but it looks like they might have to rethink that decision.
I really like the modern esthetic of the suit with keeping the classic design. The fit is definitely kind of rough. It could have been more form fitted to his body. That's its biggest weakness.
Fun fact, someone working on the film confirmed that with vfx and editing that the suit will fit him better and be a bit more skin tight. (Similar to how Chris Evans Captain America suit was quite roomy for comfort until the editing process, where it was made to fit him better)
You like unneccessary lines , high collars, and adult diapers huh
@@thewolf01x95 you don't like superman just say it instead of making people who love how superman looks feel like there opinion is wrong
@@Infuegostop being a sook
I don't like that they're mixing the New 52 collar with the trunks, two opposite aspects which shouldn't coexist...
I think the bagginess is probably the post production look and just to have the actor feel comfortable while filming and they will probably edit it after filming. But I will say the bagginess is also an inspiration from the All Star Superman version because his suit in the comic does look baggy in All Star Superman.
i think is because the uniform was made with earth material that need to resist alot of impact.
Oh please, It's not nearly at that level
Yes. Suits being baggy on set isn’t new, and people know this. The suit itself is normally a guide, and what they can refine in post, they will. Cavill’s was also CG although it was skintight. Marvel has done this plenty of times, this’ll be no different. They just want to complain lol.
this is obviously the Jim Lee Superman suit design which doesnt work in live action.
@@purefoldnz3070 it's a mix of Jim Lee's New 52, Max Fleischer suit, and the classic but I'm talking about how baggy the suit is because in All Star Superman his suit is wrinkly and baggy and James Gunn's Superman movie is Inspired by All Star Superman and Superman All Seasons
I was there the day they took those photos. I met the paparazzi guy who took those photos. I even saw David in person only a couple feet away(even saw him with the umbrellas getting ushered to his car). The suit looks way better in person up close and David definitely has the aura of Superman.
He looks like he's wearing a Star Trek Science officer/ Superman pajamas. 😂
I agree with your points. I think the color is perfect and love the trunks. Think the material is too thick and should be a better fit and don’t much like the collar, but ultimately I’m good with this look.
looks awful tbh.
The gigantic grandpa incontinence diaper-like trunks are atrocious.
@@perseusjoppa426 bahahaha yes, I agree
It’s basically a baggy Star-Lord suit with an S on it.
It looks like he about to attend a motocross event in that suit
Another fantastic video! Thank you!
I love the suit. The fit doesn't bother me as it's not baggy but just... natural. Suits don't perfectly hug musculature and superman a lot of the time I don't associate him with extremely defined musculature. Grant Morrison described it as because he's naturally strong he's big but relaxed; being too defined can looks a bit intimidating. The build gives me a very classic superman build to me and I think the uber shredded muscle suit look is mainly just comparisons with cavill. Reeve wasn't too defined nor routh because superman's about the shape and presence as opposed to the abs. Just my take as I love the classic and modern approach
Yeah fake abs and fake muscles on suits looks really silly.
@@JB-1138 Yeah it makes the character look like they're making up for them not being big. Like homelander in the boys is super skinny so he has canon fake muscles to maintain his image. (anthony starr isn't a diva his diet on a recent men's health video is about being quite lean for that reason).
I only like fake muscles when not glued down. batfleck just looks kinda funny in the abs. cavill is like the upper limit of what I like and it's only because the chrome adds to the look and not just padding. Because, this costume is very skin tight so it hiding corenswet's physique is showing how fabric and muscles ACTUALLY WORK. I think Chris (god bless him I'm not being rude just observing) just prefers muscle suits and has the zack snyder 'modern god' mentality, at least physicality wise; plus his preference for muscle suits in cosplays.
Obviously it's subjective but to me superman looking powerful comes off more with just sheer mass, being lean and shredded doesn't come off as power to me, like spider-man is typically lean and shredded and his focus is on agility.
It’s a great design that shows a lot of love to various iterations over the years
It looks fucking terrible, and that’s a dumbass take on the other Superman suits. Cavill’s will always remain the best looking Superman. At least with his suit you could actually see how big he really got for the role.
Also cope harder? 😂
I like it , looks a bit like a working class jumpsuit - it's something no one would wear with those colors but that makes it all the more whimsical.
I know superman is drawn traditionally with the proportions of a body builder with rippling abs seen through his suit,
But this is distinct and im interested to say the least.
This reminds me of when the gta 6 dev footage got leaked. Everyone was shitting on it even though its not even released yet.
like marty mcflys trainers he needs to press a button to make it fit
Like his jacket, press a button, then _"Size adjusting, fit!"_ Even the initial Tom Holland Spider-Man suit was able to adapt to hug the body!
If you take a look at the old Civil War Spider-Man behind the scenes footage - he wore a ridiculously loose suit in some scenes with lots of folds and such but used CGI to make it look like the comic accurate bodysuit with almost zero creases. Let’s hope they’ll do the same.
The suit was likely made to be loose fitting to allow the actor to move around more easily, an issue with the previous tight fitting suit was that they were uncomfortable and restricted the actors movements.
Like with many other superhero suits it’ll likely be tightened up in post production.
Hey Chris I've been a fan of the channel for a long time, I just wanted to say thank you for always keeping us updated, I really appreciate it, thank you 👍
Lol these pics came out this morning and trended on Twitter 😂 he ain't doing anything special
I’m happy that the suit worn by David Corenswet as Superman in the new film which comes out next summer has the all-yellow S emblem on the cape, the red trunks and brighter colours but he could do with a more classic look. It’s a bit on the baggy side. The suit should be thinner and closer fitting yet moveable to go with the muscle, the New 52 collar and lines ditched, the shape of the belt buckle changed to an oval, the yellow Fleischer outline ditched, the Kingdom Come inspired S emblem replaced with the more classic emblem outlined in black and the boots slightly modified.
Look at the behind the scenes for the black panther suit looks just like this suit but looks completely different in film
I'm with you on this one. The only thing holding back the suit is how it fits around Corenswet. Still, I like how it looks overall. I can't wait to see it in action.
I believe the reason the physique isn't 100% showing through the suit is to make Superman look more approachable. This Superman isn't about showing off his muscles, power or strength; he is a more humble Superman. I think it works well with this more optimistic, boy scout Supes. I'm looking forward to this film.
The neckline looks so much better then in the initial, the suit does need trunks imo, as the blue has such a light saturation, but they do look strange to me, they don't work with this type of material, (just like with the MoS version) the loops and belt look far too chunky.
Though I'm gonna assume the suit will be fixed in post, another issue for me is, because Clark is known to wear this under his regular clothes, it should be more of a membrane material, which would also give a valid reason for the design to show off Corenswet's physique (unless Clark now carries it around...?) if not, that'll be quite a bit of layering happening there.
Love this vid man. 🎉🎉🎉You and I seem to be 110% on all our thoughts!!!
I really like it. I’m so glad they’re openly embracing major design aesthetics from All-Star Superman… the trunks, the big belt, the colors, the yellow S on the cape, and even the retro barrel chest cut. I’m still not a fan of the pointless linework… the collar is veeeeerryy slowlyyy growing on me… but overall I think it’s a beautiful first suit for our Man of Tomorrow.
It is unfortunate that this suit doesn’t fully show off David’s hard work in the gym… but the bulkier look works because it’s extremely reminiscent of vintage Superman’s build. He clearly had massive arms, shoulders, and a full chest in classic Comics/Cartoons. If you compare how the suit fits on his body with All-Star Superman, you’ll see a very similar build aesthetic. I dig that…
I wasn’t a fan of the suit at first but these pics changed my mind. I’m fine with it and biggest thing ppl need to wait and see the movie/trailer and see how it looks on the big screen
Every other outlet has everyone freaking out about how “good it looks!” Gimme a break lol.
Who cares? He’s not allowed to disagree?
@@jasonavery I actually agree with him that the costume doesn’t fit David very well. Sorry if I wasn’t clear.
I’m not sure the backstory of suit (did Martha make it?). Not sure if more than one suit. Too much left to the story to know and judge from set pics. Also there is a damage suit that looks different so at least 2 suits
This reminds me of like a motorcycle jacket, kevlar-type costume, similar to Captain America's costume. Gunn is bringing his Marvel background to DC, and Marvel hates spandex-type of costumes. So this is kinda Marvel's version of Superman, lol.
My only issue is the lines on the costume it looks too much Starlords jacket
I was literally just thinking that exact same thing.
I’m pretty sure it’s baggy because it’s just meant to make it easier for David to move around and bend down if he needs to. Ofc James could add VFX to make the suit more tight around him but I doubt it cause he only uses it for CGI characters
The suit is Perfect. Can't wait to see this Superman film.
I'm ready for it
Me too!
Nah, this looks like ass.
I love the colour, I love how much he looks like Cavill and I agree Fit and Material needs attention
Ironic you say that because even CW's Brandon Routh's Kingdom Come suit looks way better than this one
That’s the best costume outside of Reeve’s
Not better more familiar to the established suit you have in mind. I'm personally not a big fan of the new suit but I'll wait to see it in action. I like the design not the fit. But I think Gunn is going for more of a MCU captain America than a Reeve or Cavill look.
any suit looks better than this one.
@@dblshotz75no it’s better lol
@jingleballs9935 I think the design looks awesome but the fit just doesn't look good. But these are still photos so seeing it moving may work better. At the end of the day though all that matters is we get a great film that gets everyone excited for the new DCU.
At first I didn’t like it but now, I dig it. I really like the color palette. And I like how it resembles what people wear when racing those sporty motorcycles.
As for Lois Lane, she looks freaking fantastic!!😃 FINALLY, a Lois Lane that looks like Lois Lane! Love her in the purple.
Can't wait for this film!
I think it looks great, I love the vibrant colors and the how the cape drapes over his shoulders. It looks very elegant and to me screams Superman!
Screams cw kids show . Get glasses
@@thewolf01x95how is this even an insult when we have a CW Superman with a decent suit. Grow up
Screams Superman, yes. Silver age Superman. It's almost 2025
@@joseoctaviomorenorodriguez9541 his design is still basically the same in modern comics what are you talking about?
Maybe it wasn't exactly an insult... that said, it doesn't look cinematic.
It's coo but some of these comments sounds forced. Like ppl intended to like it no matter what.
But it's non impressive. It'sfine gotta see it in camera.@kidcourage5777
Up to now I’m sorry to say not impressed by the costume, yet as you said Chris this could be post production, so I’ll pass judgment come the trailer hopefully the suit will look better, great video 👍
I think that it also makes it worse that, this is a SET photo, shot on an IPHONE. So, it makes it harder to see the texture within the suit, I think that once we see it on an actual professional filming camera, then you will see the texture and make it look better.
With some camera magic, I’m sure it will look awesome. People thought The Batman suit wasn’t any good
It looks like the movie world Australia suit 😁
Here's a thought ? The suit is an initial one! So, this baggy suit is the first one, and another suit comes later
My hypothesis is that the costume will change in the movie itself, similar to how Batman changed his in the Nolan trilogy. I might be wrong of course but something tells me it's not final within the actual movie itself.
I love the old school Max Fleischer superman logo.
Superman honey don't forget to put your winter coat on. Man he's going to be sweating bullets not dodging them.
I'm really torn on the suit. I mean, it's almost my favorite from a design standpoint. The intricate lines, as the CZcamsr mentioned, are really good. Chris, I agree with you that the design is great. The vibrant colors and how bright the blue, red, and yellow are, I absolutely love. I've been wanting Superman to go back to his bright, vibrant colors for a while. Now we have it, and I also agree that the only real issue with the suit is how baggy it looks. It’s less baggy than when he was sitting down putting his boots on, but it still looks a bit too loose. And like Chris said, the muscles aren't popping because of the extra space in the suit. It's not tight enough to show the muscle and the hard work Corn Sweat put in at the gym. I'm going to hold off on judging the suit a bit longer until we see the trailer with him moving around in it. But overall, I do like the suit; I just wish it was a bit tighter so we could see his muscles pop through.
I absolutely love this suit and I think we all know that there's going to be CGI retouches on all of this, but the design itself is awesome.
The Henry Cavill suit had a lot of padding in it to make it look better in still images. But ultimately all of these suits are going to get retouched with CGI. I mean it's 150 million movie
Yall do know that this is phase 1 right??!! lol!!! its a new suit and im sure by the end of span of films he'll grow into the suit which is poetic in concept
The bright colors are superb.
I think Gunn is going for less of a tight bodysuit, and more like it's just kryptonian clothing. The kind of thing Jor El would have worn. Plus i agree with others saying it'll likely have vfx used to make it look cleaner in post. I wouldn't be surprised if the lines on the suit will have CG augmentation. Plus the practical Black Panther suit in Civil war looked about the same. I love the colors of the suit, and the overall design. I could have done without the collar, but i don't hate it. Love that the yellow S has returned to the cape too. Can't wait to see how it looks in the actual movie.
Im gonna sound crazy here but I would have went metallic with the suit.
Chainmail, forearm plates and chest shield.
Micro weave metal links made from parts of his space crib
Not only does he look puffy but the trunks isn’t helping him either. The separation from the torso and legs makes him look smaller in stature. Like he’s almost wearing high water pants. If Batman gets the same trunks treatment I’m checking out. Such a bygone era
I'm with you, the style and colours are fantastic. I like the New52 style collar, and the belt/trunks. But yeah, that loose/creased look doesn't do it any justice.
I trust James Gunn and also this is his first suit and will upgrade as time goes on so I'm excited for the movie even after I'm not a Superman fan 😊
Its a special suit made to protect Superman from a threat. He wears various suits in the movie. The first form-fitting leaked photo that James said was fake, wasnt. Think about it...chances ai would get the crest correct?
They’re definitely going for the Tim Sale fluffy Superman look, less/no muscle sculpt just a big helpful bear guy, so I kinda like it for that
In All Star Superman he has that round kind of build too
My opinion on the suit....
The colors look great. Love how bright the colors are.
The size of the symbol. Not too big, not too small.
I wish the belt buckle were oval and not square.
Not crazy about the collar. It seems to high.
Not crazy about the symbol design.
The fit feels too bulky. Like a scuba diver's wet suit.
I wish the top of the boots had the "V" cut and not the "U" or square cut.

@@dcmastermindfirst9418 Unlike Europeans, we Americans removed the unnecessary and silent "U" from many words like, color, armor, glamor. 😉
I really don't think it should represent strength but the more friendly aspect of the character
Can’t believe there are so many haters out here trying to bring this man down, they probably have other tighter suits and probably used this one for testing the movie hasn’t even come out yet but the actual suit in question… IS FREAKING AWESOME! The Physical attributes, The GLOW, the gestures, David overall.. Now this Ladies and Gentleman IS SUPERMAN!!
😂
@@crxvtec0069- you’re right - maybe they have other suits. Maybe this one is for testing. Maybe it will get cleaned up in post-production. But once I get past all the “maybe"s I still look at this particular suit in this specific photo and can’t help but think it looks awful. I’m not hater - I’m not just trying to find something wrong with this movie - I just hope they have something better than this to show us soon.
@@Awinst01 100% agree
The idea that this is a test suit and that we'll get a completely different suit in the actual movie strains credulity. There's a lot of "maybes" that people keep bringing up with no evidence, just to stay optimistic about this movie. You do you, but don't dismiss people's valid complaints that are based on actual photos just because "maybe" there's going to be something that completely changes what we now see in these photos. You're offering nothing tangible to assuade people's criticisms here.
@@El3ctr0Lun4 well I wasn’t really trying persuade anyone really, who do you think I am some activist lol? This suit design in question is amazing it looks new and it ties into an alienated biology that Superman has in his homeworld that doesn’t have any significant similarities to the things in our world (earth). Yes the suit looks just a bit baggy and the trunks are a LITTLE chunky but like the other guy said before there are post-production clean ups and even reshoots exist too if you didn’t know about that. Plus the person who designed this Suit did most of the designs we may have come to like today like in the MCU over the years. She designed Black Panther, Tom Hollands Spider-Man, Captain America in the winter soldier all the way to endgame, as well as the winter soldier and even more than those. Tom Holland was wearing a WHOLE another suit at the end of NWH that looks almost exactly identical to an original Spider-Man we all know and love. So I have hopes in seeing this Superman suit only got those things mentioned before get tweaked out, cause the suit isn’t terrible and of course you’re all welcome to have your own opinion on the suit it doesn’t matter to me. But all I’m saying is it definitely fits the description of a superhero that screams it’s Superman!
Chris suit is the original Superman suit in live action and David suit look like Chris suit upgraded so beautiful 😻
I’m still going with my theory that his mom made this one and he’ll get his real Kryptonian suit, or one of them, near the end of the movie. That one will be properly fitted.
I don’t think this is a post-production cleanup case… I believe this is intentional, because it may be the case they want Superman to feel approachable/friendly/non-intimidating, which is great, but it just isn’t a good fit for David and as you said, all the hard work he’s put in
He’s coming from party 🎈 city 😂 ready to trick or treat Hahahah
Here we go again, same old friendly neighborhood superman 😂
Suit would've been PERFECT for CW Superman, a Titans universe Superman, what have you.
I agree with you. I love you design, but it is the fit of the suit. I pray they will fix it in post production.
some minor issues that I noticed on the suit photos
1. it has the MCU 3 line set again with 2 lines under the chest and 4 on the sides. I know it’s the same designer but the final say is from Gunn so I kinda wish it wasn’t there.
2. The logo in the front looks caved in the suit rather than popping out.
3. The Trunks although done really well, it’s still way too open bagged and looks like it not part of the suit but rather it’s own thing that makes it look like it’s gonna fly out when he goes supersonic.
4. the same emblem on the back looks more popped out than the front but still looks plastic ish.
The final is that the suit looks more like kryptonian military style outfit than Cavil’s even though in that universe it was shown to be the normal Military outfit from the house of El.
overall even though Im kinda sad that Cavil is not with us im still gonna watch this movie open minded.
You look at what they've done in Marvel with complete CGI suit overlays on several actors that are wearing minimal costumes. There is no way Superman is wearing his Dad's hand-me-down outfits. Haha.
Looks muh but most important thing is if he can play him well as the suit can always be upgraded
i have to slightly disagree with the “showing off corenswets muscles” thing, only on the base that superman doesn’t need to show off his muscles to see how strong he is, he’s already imposing, i just think actual spandex would have been a much better choice. the material on the actual suit looks rubbery and like if he took it off it’d be like a statue because the material is so thick. spandex would have been simpler, show off corenswets muscles without the need of artificially placed muscle shading on the actual suit, and just look more campy and fun and just better in general
That Super Diaper though...damn.
Maybe that's the suit he came with as a baby. It gets damaged during the climax, and Ma Kent makes him a new, more better fitting suit at the end of the movie.
I'm just glad the trunks are back to break up the monotonous singular blue one-piece look
@Richardiba Same here
Dude you have to see these photos in action taken with a cell phone…wow this man just walking around exudes a Christopher Reeve Superman vibe even with this suit. I trust James Gunn it’s going to work!!
Dude I was up at like 3:30 with this haha. I’m very much on the fence about it. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it.
Looks awesome!
I like the design and colours, however it does have this motorcross jacket look to it that is hard to get past. I also agree, the reveal has been poorly handled, the initial boot pulling photo was clearly a behind the scenes snap that some idiot thought would make a good poster. No, do a proper reveal, hint of capt, flash of blue, belt, dash of symbol. I really hope this movie holds up, but it might have been better to make a Superman & Lois film.
So whose his Dad gonna be since he's basically the wife. 😂
What? Next time, don't type while drunk.
All time favorite 😊❤😊
The design is fine, i just don't understand the choice of material and fit. It could have looked great. I'd love to see a fitted version of it with some padding for definition.
I would assume this suit is what his mom makes him. I'm hoping we get a more alien one later on that fits better.
Ion know, Maybe it's because at the back of my mind I've had All Star Superman this whole time, but Frank Quietly's Superman costume is also illfitting, infact the material is a very simple cloth as opposed to this in the film, I mean if the fit's driving so many people crazy, then thank God he they didn't do the very short cape
Could you imagine how good this suit would have looked if they used this design in combination with the metallic undersuit method they used for Henry’s Superman suit? Would have looked incredible
Hit the nail on the head buddy!!!!!
I didn't like the suit when I saw it in the suit reveal, I like it a little better now, but I don't like the lines, the collar, or the lack of muscle definition. I'd be absolutely thrilled if you did a cosplay of this where you touched a few things up a bit with a thinner material and a muscle suit. I think spandex over a muscle suit is the only way to go with Superman and Batman from now on.
Looks great can't wait to see this
The suit reminds me thelast Guardians of the Galaxy. Suit looks like a Halloween store outfit in my opinion.
It’s kinda gives me the vibes when the Matt Reeves screen test for the batsuit came. I really hope this isn’t the final look still needs like what you said a more “tailored”look.
If memory serves, that first look of the Batsuit was praised to the gills

I'll give the movie a chance because the first image i saw of Henry Cavill as Superman i thought he looked like some old dude. I wasn't digging the suit at the time, but when i watched Man of Steel, he is now up there with Reeve as one of my favourite Supes. Funny thing me saying Henry looked like some old dude im actually couple years older than him.😂
